Sams did not seem too busy until we got to the checkout. All the lines seemed pretty long. We decided to bring our cart into a less busy aisle and scan and pay for all the items that we had with the Sam's application. Let's face it, I prefer the other Club store. But, because of the huge popularity of that other one, sometimes it is impossible to get in. Therefore, I needed a second choice, and this place is it. This store is well run, has good shopping carts, and friendly employees. However, the greatest thing they have going for them (IMO) is self checkout. I love being able to scan my items as I go, and then go straight to exit line without going through checkout. It really speeds things up. Other businesses need to copy this idea:-) Another good thing about this store is the amount of foot traffic they have. I have never seen their busiest day be too crowded to leisurely shop. I always love coming to Sam's mostly for the samples but, for certain items. Bananas are always cheaper here than any other grocery store. Almond milk is another go to 3 silk almond mills for a little over $7 or the sams brand 2 for almost $6. I've always had a great experience here from the girl in the front giving me her opinion of an item I bought to returning a salad dressing I didn't like. So the recent weather in Feb. 2021 was crazy! So many without power and water! Ice and snow closing roads. I help 10 nursing homes in San Antonio and Chris and his team were able to help us get some essential food supplies for our residents when our food trucks couldn't drive! We take care over 900 people and this really helped us provide good hot meals for them and our staff who work so hard to care for those who are most vulnerable! The customer service center at the Auto and Tire center is poor. I've had two negative experiences with honoring of appointments. The first time was for a tire replacement a couple of months ago. The manager was able to rectify the situation on the spot so I graciously dismissed it as a one time issue. Today I showed up for my appointment to have my battery replaced. After about 10 mins of checking stock I was told the last battery that fit my vehicle was sold the night before. Tried to sell me another battery that was almost twice as much. I asked when they would have the battery I wanted back in stock but they could not provide an estimate. Begrudgingly they checked with another Sams Club to see if they had the battery in stock. Luckily they did but required me to adjust my schedule which was already tight. Hopefully their mechanical skills are better than their customer service skills. read more

I like the store in general but this review is specifically about the food court. Things have really changed over the past two months. No pizza. Supposedly they stop making it at 4 o'clock. Customer service definitely needs improvement. I placed an order with them on Oct.1,, it is now Oct.4. I still have yet to receive my order. I call for an update, and I'm on hold for almost an hour. Then I speak to someone and they tell me that Walmart canceled my order. I want to know why. Walmart has canceled an order that I made with Sam's Club. Then the person I was speaking to lied to me and said he was calling the club to find out what was happening. Came back to the phone and stated he was calling Club , and for me to hold on. I stated to him I thought you were calling club when you put me on hold. His response was no, I was tracking your order. Well that was supposed to have happened when you put me on hold the very first time. So now I have been put on hold 3 times, and guess what, the call was disconnected. This is terrible. Trying to make a special order for bakery goods, rather an expensive order too. I called went through the menu to the Bakery, the phone rang and rang and no one ever picked up. Called the bakery several times same thing - no answer. Called back to customer service, it too rang and rang. I did get an answer on the customer service line, and was told to please wait, then got disconnected. Called back to customer service and even told the person that answered no one at the bakery was picking up, she said to hold on and instead of helping she just transferred me to the bakery, which rang and rang and rang. Still no answer. Called back to customer service again and it just rang for almost 5 minutes then I guess auto disconnected. Seems like Sam's doesn't want the business. Guess I'll go elsewhere and bet they may be more responsive for a couple of hundred dollar bakery order. Poor Form, Poor Form! read more

Prices are convenient and they possess a good selection of products. Products have instant savings discounts constantly, some are on clearance and others are on sale. The variety of products they have is broad enough to find almost everything I need. 3. Scan & go. You can find this method of payment in the Sam's app and use it for free to avoid all lines. I took my vehicle to the "auto" portion of Sam's as they were advertising a service that removes the "fog" type residue that occurs to your headlights. Although I didn't have great expectations due to the low cost of the service (39.95) I was amazed at the finished product! Disappointed. Today I found a rug in the back corner markdowns. No price or tags on it. It was dirty, obviousky used. When I asked about the price, Linda looked for a price in the discount corner. In the process we noticed several singular items that were not marked nor did the display rack have a price label for the items. She said she would check up front and there would be an answer for me at the tower. I found a check out person with the rug and she talk in circles, trying to convince me that someone had put the rug back there by mistake and because it had previously been a display item, it could not be sold to me. Unusual because most of the items back there are soiled displays or returned items. It was a bizarre series of events that left me a little confused and suspicious of their staff and certainly cynical of their customer service. read more

I appreciate Sam's Club immensely. Feeding a family of 5 (and a GSD), I have resorted to buying in bulk to avoid daily trips to the grocery store. The customer service here can be hit or miss, but what I really appreciate is being able to navigate through the store and check out quickly through the self-checkout lanes (there are 4 available) and there's a customer service rep to assist in the event you experience a problem. There are also enough regular check out lanes available so there's never a long wait. This cannot be said for the other wholesale warehouse in town, where the parking is scarce and the lines inside are usually 10+ customers deep. I really do appreciate the convenience of getting in and out quickly, especially if I'm just stopping in for a few staples. Although I really wish there were more organic selections and health food choices, I can't complain. They have great values and quality merchandise when it comes to bulk food selections, meats, furniture, appliances, electronics (to include cell phones), jewelry and so much more. Their return policy is also aligning with the other big wholesaler. I appreciate being able to return items easily if I've lost my receipt; they can easily look up transactions on my account. They also offer pharmacy, optical, photo, and automotive services, and offer $0.05 discount on gas (and usually have very competitive prices). If you have the Plus! Membership you can also earn 2% back on all transactions, excluding gas purchases, and early access shopping from 7AM-10AM. Unfortunately, they suspended travel services last year (Jan 2017) which included travel packages, hotel, car rentals, etc. at excellent prices. I hope they consider bringing their travel services back because that was one service I heavily utilized and would love to continue using! read more
