    Employee Christian

Extremely Poor customer service when it comes to helping a DIESEL customer. Store manager Denise did not care to help a loyal long time Sam's club member when HER employee Christian shut off the fuel pump on us when we backed in on the other side to fill up our diesel truck because there was a bunch of gas vehicles blocking ONLY the Diesel pumps. Store manager Denise's response with agreeing with her employee was that " someone might get run over by backing in..." Never have I been treated with such disrespect by SAM's Club employee. We travel all over using our membership card and never had problem with backing into a pump BEFORE TODAY! SAM's Club really needs to become more DIESEL CUSTOMER FRIENDLY. For the amount of money I spend on my business SAM's membership, all the purchased goods and abundance of fuel over the years- this was lousy customer service all the way around.

Yet another fall from grace for this Sam's Club location. The back story tells a tale of some wardrobe updates for Ol' Rooster. New shorts and some carefully selected shirts ranging from Harley Davidson apparel, Lucky 13, Von Dutch, and Xtreme Couture. Yes, yes, that's Randy Couture's brand made by Affliction. I'm inclined to point out that I am not a douchebag; how could you say no when his shirts at my Sam's Club were $6.50? Some of the shirts were decent apparel especially for the price; then they didn't have my size anymore. Despite my recollections in dealing with the San Marcos store I called to see if they carried the same shirts. They confirmed they also had the same clothes and a ton of them. Sweet! I threw the little in the car this morning and drove close to 1 hour ready to pull the trigger on some skulls and crosses, with wings, some barley legible writing, and gargoyles on a shirt. We arrived and strolled around looking at an array of things before finally making it over to the clothing. They had them all; and in my size! Huh, $14.95 each? What tha? I eventually talked with the manager on duty who politely told me that there was no way in hell that he would sell them for that price. Buy one get one free? Any deal? He offered them to me at his cost which was $12 and change; no sale man! He also stated that the South Austin Sam's was selling them 52% below cost; which I confirmed by a phone call that the shirts had actually dropped to $5 each and he still wouldn't budge on his prices. I left empty handed. The manager was polite; but not a tad sympathetic. No I'm sorry you drove all the way over here to get shafted on the price. Imagining that I was on the other end of this as I also work in retail, I would have sold the shirts to the customer at the $6.50 price. A little bending on price for customer satisfaction (the store would have ate about $12) would have made this review a happy 3 star praise fest; instead they took the hard road of we don't care about you "THE MEMBER" at the Sam's Club in San Marcos.

It is clean easy to walk around and shop in. However when you exit you are harassed by the people selling home repairs!

We have gotten tires for our cars here and also have Costco insurance. I love the one stop shop feature with Costco. We recently had an incident outside the tire shop where someone kept honking and cursing at us for taking too long to get air. We had a Costco employee run to defend us and ask the person to back off. Love the courtesy of the staff. In the clothing section where everything with a big pile of clothes, the staff didn't get angry except helped us sort through the pile to find our size. We'd go back and continue shopping for experiences like this.

We've happily spent thousands of dollars there over the years, and it was always a great experience. But over the last eight months or so, I've started to dread walking through those doors. Not because of the products, but because of the customer service. The latest example? We were turned away from entering 10 minutes before 10:00 a.m. on a weekday because we aren't Executive Members. There wasn't a single customer waiting to get in. Zero. It wasn't about crowd control or capacity, it was simply, "No." Come on, Costco. Loyalty should count for something. A little common sense and a little kindness go a long way. We love shopping here, but experiences like this make it harder and harder to keep coming back.

I had been quoted a price of $250. The higher price was because I requested the use of OEM parts. The gentleman at the shop took it and was giving it a thorough inspection. He asked me what I had been quoted and then said lI think I'm going to save you some money. He peeled of the glass protective cover. the screen wasn't broken, it was the protective cover! He put on a new one and charged me $5.00. A dishonest business could have easily told me to come back in an hour and charged me the original quoted price. I would have been none the wiser. Atmosphere: Nothing flashy--just functional, which is exactly what you want when your laptop is on the fritz. Service: Friendly, efficient, and communicative. They're good about quoting before work starts and answering questions clearly (even after hours in some cases), and they'll tell you what can be done same-day vs. what needs parts. I spoke mostly with Patrick and he was very cordial and to the point. These guys know what they are doing, since most of them are former Apple specialists. The clothes are cute but most of them are terrible wholesale quality. I almost bought a boho kimono here marked for $48, then a couple days later my sister found the same kimono on the wholesale app Wish for $3. The products are hit or miss, I would pick based on brands you actually know like True Grit or others that they sell. My biggest turnoff however is the staff. The staff here is a JOKE. I live in Austin and have for many years and I love visiting the SoCo strip. However EVERY single time I come in the staff circles like vultures like they expect you to be stealing, except NONE of them greeted me or gave assistance. It was just stuck up younger college aged girls gossiping and following people. I'm 25, I'm not far off but I know how to treat people in a retail enviromment. It turns me off from going here and going to the other SoCo stores and going to Burnet when I want my boutique fix. Plus A-town gives wine and cookies while you shop.
