My family and friends have been customers with Travis wholesale since the 1980's. Always a fun and successful trip. My future wife and her best friend introduced me to TW back in 1984. They used materials they had for our wedding in Illinois in 1990. When we arrived back in SA in 1994, Travis was one of the first places my wife bought flowers for decorating our new home here. And when she passed in 2021, the flowers for her funeral bouquet came from Travis, where I introduced my daughter to the wonders of Travis Wholesale. Purchased 50 white roses that were pre-ordered, and when I opened up the two bundles, the flowers were opened, wilting, and some petals were already brown. Not happy and when I called, I was told I could return and get another batch. However, they are so far away, and my event was within a few hours... not enough time to return. Most of the staff is super helpful and they run 2 cash registers when busy. Parking lot is small but more parking in back and you can exit through the back as well. I had a big event to decorate and bought flowers from Travis for close to $550. I asked if they had a return policy. Jenna who was helping me said 10 days with a receipt. I took back leftovers worth $80. I was told they would not return flowers, but they do other items. I said but only thing I bought was flowers and I was lead to believe I could return them. Two other associates came up and said they couldn't help me. I asked to talk to the owner. They said Ms. Sam or something was not there. Love this store! Been shopping here for over 40 yrs. I live in NOLA, but come to SA often, and Travis is always on my list of places to shop. I stock up on Cello corsage bags that work great as gift bags, The ribbon selection is Awesome and Cheap! So many craft finds. Table covers runners for partys in all colors... and of course floral supplies. I am worries it may go away with all the urban development going on in the area... This shop has the best prices in San Antonio. I have been to every new shop around. For example a roll of satin is $8 here and $18 at another local store. You can't beat the prices! Even their hoco plastic trinkets are only $1.85. read more

My husband just bought 5 type of flowers and by the time he got home (10 minutes away) I had to throw away 1/2 of everything. Petals off, off. In one bouquet out to 8, 3 survive the rest only had stem left. And the rest look so pathetic and exhausted. Way to ruin an anniversary, get flower there. Any time you enter the shop, it is full to bursting with fresh seasonal blooms, greenery, and various decor supplies (ribbon, vases, wreaths, etc.). If you're purchasing for an event, they'll sit down with you to figure out what will work best for the time of year, budget, and colors you have in mind, and will even deliver to your event site! A good​ place to pick up some craft goodies. Travis wholesale is definitely my go-to place for wreath & mum supplies. You get a lot for your money in comparison to Hobby Lobby & Michaels. Travis wholesale florists have​ anything and everything you could possibly​need for getting your craft on. They have rolls on rolls of ribbon, wired ribbon, mesh, etc. There are also supplies for baby showers, quinces, and weddings. If you're a DIY kind of person I highly suggest checking them out! A small tip though, if you're trying to make something, such as​ a mum/garter, wreath, during homecoming or a holiday season try to go as early as you can. It can get crazy & the lines can get very long during these peak times. ​ The only issue I had with Travis Wholesale Florists was with their customer service. A customer and one of the cashiers had gotten into a fight because the cashier was being rude. When it was my turn to check out she continued to be rude to me as well. I love Travis Florist. I've come here many times when I've needed flowers. Everything from arrangements for big events to just getting something simple and pretty to give as a gift. When you first walk in, it can be a bit intimidating. They have so many different flowers, decorations, ribbons, fabric - I recommend taking a deep breath and finding someone who works there to help. I am so sick of this shoddy "business." I have been a regular customer for years. I recently bought supplies for an upcoming event. Realized the candle size was too big, went to exchange. Was buying FIVE times as much of new supplies. They refused to exchange the candles--still wrapped in orginal packing-- bc my receipt read 14 days ago instead of 10 days ago. Candles have no shelf life, but cistomer patience does expire. Not to mention their fresh flower quality wilted years ago. I am so disgusted at Travis Wholesale florist on Josephine street! I saw racism at its best today. Everyone buying their flowers had them in their basket but the only Black person in the store was told to pay for their stuff first and then they could have their flowers. Like why the hell did they not tell me that or the other 4 or 5 people that had their flowers in their basket. Hmmmm? Then to top it off I called the owner to tell him what happen and he said he already heard the story from the nasty cashier and he didn't need to hear my side. He told me not to come back to his store. (Not like I planned on it! ) That just validated my feelings where right! I was told not to come back for defending a black woman! Didn't yell, didn't get ugly when the cashier told me "honey don't go there!" This is when someone mentioned maybe it is because she was because she is black.
