Thanks to scan n go I checked out hit the exit fast.The only problem was the clerk at the front door was slow and backing up the exit! Our experiences in Sam's have been good every time we have come there. We got the black card membership and have loved the benefits of it. Our experiences & benefits outweigh the ones we had Costco. Plus the price of membership is more affordable and it is always less crowded in. Sam's. Parking and crowds are never a problem 100 %. We love that we scan products on our phone and pay for it immediately. It makes shopping quick and efficient since we can skip the lines and show our online receipt at the door. We get everything we need in mass quantities in Sam's every time. My favorite product here are the giant bottles of white champagne from Spain for $9.99. Fresh produce like lemons and tomatoes as well. I enjoy getting a free product from the vending machine there as well. It is a good way to experience new products. read more

I purchased a $20 year membership mostly to use the gas station but have found some reasons to actually go inside the warehouse too. First the highlight is the gas that is hitting close to 75 cents less per gallon than the local stations near my house. Also, I'm lucky enough to drive a vehicle with the gas cap on the passenger side so there's never a line for me. Inside, I've purchased cat food, laundry and dish washer products, seasonal items, and clothes/shoes/books/toys. Sometimes the clothes/shoes/books/toys have great sale prices, sometimes they seemed overpriced, it just depends on the visit. The bad is probably what you're thinking-crowded, large carts that take up whole aisle widths.....so I just try to get in and get out. Self-checkout is helpful to speed up that process. read more

Big fan usually of Sam's Club and have been a member for years but most recently bought a pack of Sweet Tea (Bottles in plastic case) and a case of water that had little white bugs on them. They were both infested and now so is our refrigerator where we set the case down prior to opening them. So i am usually a fan of Sam's Club. I'm shop here weekly for personal and business. I also love to gift the memberships today kinda of changed my mind at the moment. I went shopping as usual and got rotisserie chicken. I came home to cut the chicken to prepare for dinner and I was hungry so I bit into it. Well the chicken was not cooked through so that was an unpleasant surprise. It's also a health issue to I wanted to call so they could know the ones from this morning may not be cooked all the way. I called and was transferred to the bakery but that wasn't where I needed to be so I got transferred again. The person who answered was really nice and he then sent me to the manager. While the manager was nice I feel as it was brushed off and that's concerning as this is a health concern and people can get sick off of this. I don't have time to go back today so I took pictures but the lack of concern is a little concerning to me. I hope they take these concerns serious in the future. read more

Choose Sam's and not the other competitor. We have never had an issue parking or entry/exit. We use the app to add to digital cart and pay prior to exit for ease of skipping the lines. When I brought this to the attention of the manager of the Woodbridge, VA I was treated as if I were trying to scan the store even though I should him my bank statement. New member. I'd love to give Sam's Club a zero rating. I don't think I've had a worse business experience than in dealing with them. Customer service is a joke- you can call the customer service number many times, but no one answers. Sometimes it just doesn't work at all. And if you do speak to a live person, it's likely to be someone who barely speaks English. Call the Club directly? I tried many times. No answer. Don't bother punching in a number for a specific department- I discovered that the departments don't even have phones! Because your name is not on the card, I didn't know mine was misspelled until I got an email from them. I tried to fix it online, but that is not possible. You have to do it in person. When I went to the Club, I discovered that it my card had never been activated when I first became a member. Tried to order items online from the bakery. Even though I'd been told I could order a week in advance, that's not true- it can't be more than 2 days. I will never use them again and will not be renewing my membership. I'm sticking with Costco. Oddly enough, after visiting other club retailers in the area, Sam's Club had the best deal on a television. The other clubs had the same television but the price was actually about $50 more than the price here. I think people tend to think of Sam's as the little sister of the bulk retailers so they are often overlooked. Each club has its on specialty as far as products they carry but so far this has been as sure thing when it comes to a television. They do offer a warranty as well that will cover the TV for 4 years. If you do not want to mount the TV yourself, they do offer installation services as well at an additional charge. Just make sure when you get to the register that you are charged for the right warranty which is based on the price of the TV you are purchasing because if the cashier is unaware, you could end up paying more than you should. For those of you who are early holiday hunters, they already have their Halloween and Christmas decorations on display. read more

Sam's club makes everything so inconvenient for its shoppers! You can only enter and exit from a specific entrance and the poor employee at the exit has to scan every single item in your cart. If you are in a long line, good luck! I slipped on some oil at their gas station, cracked my iPhone as a result and they refused to reimburse me. Shawn from HQ claim accused me of intentionally finding the oil spill on their ground and orchestrated the slip and fall. I immediately cancelled my membership and returned to Costco. First time member. Placed an online order that did not arrive on time. Went in person to make return and was turned away being told that the return had to be made online. I reached out to customer service to inquire why we were not able to make the return in store. I was told they would refund us in 5-7 days with no mention of returning the items. I followed up a week later because we did not receive refund. We were told to wait a couple more days. 3 weeks later, no refund and now we're being told that they didn't receive our return. I explained that we never received instructions on how to return the items and we were just told we would receive a refund 3 weeks ago. We also never received any communication via email or otherwise with any instructions to make the return via mail. We are now being instructed to return via FedEx and once received, after 5-7 business days we'll receive our refund. I've been a Costco member for over 10 years and they would never! read more

I am lowering my review four stars for so many reasons! Most of the issues revolve around this Sam's extremely poor upkeep. Usually, 1/3 of the pumps do not work and are shut down. The other "working" 2/3 have issues of shutting off if the nozzle is fully placed in the gas valve. Going inside, nearly all the carts are in disrepair. Everything from the wheels not working to missing plastic covers to severe dents in the cart/seats are all found on the carts. I even had to resort to using a cart whose wall caved in on itself, so basically it was a cart with three sides and no seat. Don't worry! It doesn't stop there! Although variety is good, they lack in non-sugary/diet beverages and some of their stock is fully expired. For example, there is occasionally diet tea and their Panera's Mac n Cheese/Pretzels/Nutella Stock is usually completely expired. Want to reward yourself with a Ice Cold Beverage? Forget about it! Only 1 of the 3 Machines fully worked, when I last visited. What about the employees? Look everyone struggles... That's why I try to look past things and try to perk up people's days. But when you get cursed out, full on yelled at, and interrogated by employees mainly in the check-out, gas station, member services, and the food court. Something is not right! I mean many places overseas replace their waged employees with one time payments of thousand dollar computerized check-outs. When I ditch a person for a computer (like self checkout or Scan&Go), that is not a good sign. Why do I do it? The reason I go electronic is because not one employee understands the joint membership program Sam's Club offers. It's a membership under one holder that allows another holder to take advantage of the Sam's Club Perks. My name is on the card, but not the account. So I might as well as be stealing from the store. I have NEVER had an issue at ANY of their other locations in Florence, Kississmee, Orlando, Savannah, No Where PA, or West Palm. There's just a point where there's only so much "nice and perk" I can bring before I step back and leave. Lastly, I know the location, employees, and disrepair play a factor in to this negativity pool, but something should be said about mannerisms. Yes, it is something that a business has little to no control over, but when fellow customers blast their horn and drive recklessly through the gas station and parking lot. Maybe the armed-looking security or police can step in to the matter. Also, maybe security or police can step in when an employee becomes so irate in front of the elderly and children that something is about to go down. In all honesty though, the fact that I use the word POLICE instead of manager should speak volumes. I highly recommend avoiding this property -both Woodbridge Sam's Club and Walmart- all together! The thing with life is that there are choices. I can make the choice to have items shipped to my house or I can visit the plethora of other wholesale properties and stores laced throughout the Northern Virginia Region. The one thing I do know is that visiting this Sam's is a lost cause and my fault for trying to fully patronize! read more

I bought the store made chicken salad and the chicken was not chopped at all. It was like eating fajita chicken. The salmon I bought had 3 days left to the sell by date but when I opened it it smelt like it was sitting in the sun and marinated in its smelly juices. I use to come here because they had items my usual Sam's club didn't but since that's not the case anymore, I think this location is not worth stopping by. read more

Crap show. We were near the area and went to grab some pizza pretzels for dinner. Arrived to an empty garage of carts. Held my toddler while we waited in the cafe line for 20 minutes. Was told when we got the the register that no pretzels were ready and it would take another 20 minutes. I lost it. If you're short staffed enough that a line takes 20 minutes and no one is working on food in the back, go ahead and close the cafe. Hire some more employees to grab carts as well. Do better. We will be canceling our membership renewal and won't be back. read more

I'm not a Sam's Club member anymore so my review is very limited. I came to this location because its "fairly" close to my house. I received a baby shower gift that needed to be exchanged. The Customer Service line was not long. It was close to closing on a Sunday to give you an idea of what the line could have been. The employee Brittney was very helpful and had me in and out. This location is near Potomac Mills and lots of other shops and restaurants. The price of the diapers and formula are a few bucks cheaper than Costco. However, the amount of gas I would spend getting here trying to save a few extra bucks would not be worth it. All in all, a good experience. read more

I don't think I've ever actually purchased any GOODS from this Sam's Club. I've walked around it a lot, though, and it's very well organized... Much like any other Sam's Club, so nothing much to say about that. I've never had a problem with the greeters. I always have my card ready and I just flash it to them. (I don't even show them that my face is on the card. I just show them the front of it.) They have these super cool sampling machines though! I've never seen these at any other Sam's Club. They're located in the back of the store, on the same side as the entryway. (They used to be in the front but I think they've permanently moved them to the back...) Anyway, you just scan your Sam's card and it'll pop out a cool sample for you to try! I've gotten candy, energy bars, detergents, etc from it. The sample item changes every week. However, recently, the machine is usually out of stock. So sad... Even though I don't ever make any bulk purchases from Sam's, I still go every week. Want to know why? THE PIZZA. WAIT WAIT WAIT, HEAR ME OUT. My boyfriend and I buy a fresh cheese pizza to split. And like the gross human beings we are, we never have leftovers. That's a 16" pizza for only about $10. Praise the pizza gods. Plus, if you order a whole 'za, they'll make it fresh for you. So you get fresh-out-of-the-oven pizza way faster than any other pizza delivery joint could ever do. AND they only use mozzarella cheese, not some awful cheddar-asiago-idontevenknow blend of cheese and try to market it as a gourmet blend (I'm looking at you, Domino's). This is fresh, extra cheese-y, cheap pizza. If anything, just go for the pizza. And maybe the toilet paper in bulk. read more

Sams is on par with any of the better warehouse clubs. This particular store is well run and well organized. Typically warehouse clubs move inventory around a fair amount so if you saw an item in one place last month, it might be in a different place this month. This Sams Club doesn't do that much. Seasonal items of course will come and go, so if there is something you see, get it now because it may not be there next month, maybe even next week. Everyone shops at these places for different items (so each persons experience will vary), and of course not everything is cheaper then in other stores. I typically get some staples like paper towels, toilet paper, etc. The meats are very good, as good if not better then most supermarkets. You can't beat the rotisserie chicken, (as of this writing) $5.00 for a 3lb chicken (most supermarkets are $8.00 for a 2lb chicken). The salmon is always a good bet, and when it's on sale, the Alaskan King crab legs are a good deal, when they go on sale. In season, you can't beat the quality and price of the blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries. However you'll get better quality and price in Wegmans on some of the other fruits. Even if the prices are the same (and most are less), you can't go wrong with anything you get in Sams. Gas -- Don't forget the gas. Typically it's at least 5 cents a gallon less then the best price in the area (generally the WaWa on Minnieville Rd), and many times 10-12 cents less. If you can't find what you want, or don't want to buy 1,000 of something, you can go right next door to Walmart and get it there at a great price as well. Photos -- The best photo lab in the area hands down. Professional quality at discount prices. It truly is as good as many professional labs. read more

Just became a member today and I love it already :) The staff was very welcoming and the store reminded me a lot of Costco. The aisles were clean and I found pretty much everything I wanted at a very reasonable price. I didn't feel pressured to purchase an item from those who were at the sample station, they were just really kind and offered a sample :) There were however a couple girls that were there representing their flat irons, they were approaching people in the produce section, but as soon as my mom mentioned that I'm a hairstylist to them, they simply disappeared with a smile on their face, no pressure, all was good. Just doing their job. My MAIN and BIGGEST complaint is that their bathrooms were disgusting...DON'T DO IT... believe just DON'T! I'm excited to be a member and loved that they were collecting money for the children's hospital. There were a few volunteers standing outside in this heat, grilling and selling food and drinks to raise money. That's awesome and I applaud them all. I wish I could give negative stars... I did a online pick and pull order, which was recieved and confirmed, however when I arrived I was told that they were out of the item I had ordered. This was confusing and frustrating becuas e I never recived a cancellation notice on the item and I had ordered that item 2 days prior which would have gave them ample time to do so, I drove way out from silver spring MD to pick this item up and all the store manager had for me was an apology. And now I am the worst dad in the world because my kids were expecting a trampoline that we never recieved!! read more

Top must read review, I made a service appointment for tires in Dec and was sent to a third party which Sam's club work with. They entered the wrong tires(beware) of 3rd party errors. I came in for my appt in Jan 9th..long wait. They couldn't find my account. Luckily I had past receipts in vehicle. Had to reorder, wait another 2-4 days snow prediction. Was told from manager Zach he would call when tires are in. No phone call, nothing , called on the 15th to hear my tires came in on the 11th. Now I had to take another day off drive in snow, with bad tires. Again couldn't find my information after almost an hr and being assistant by Store Manager Carlos. Word of advice, make appt in person, get person name, have appt information emailed to you, don't take their word for it. Follow-up on arrival, and if you come to Sam's Club on Worth Ave ask for Edwin or Alex , they should be Managers, they should be acknowledged, they should get a bonus, PTO some award. They were the main two people that knew what they were doing. It's not always the big people, the ones higher up that do all the work. It's the techs. It's these two guys. All this work for tires. Lesson learned. I hope this review helps the next person with a smooth process. Almost a month, loss time off work, on the road with bad tires waiting and waiting due to errors. CHECK EXPIRATION DATE for all the food here! And it's EASILY could find some expired food. Or some items were close to expire. I had one time letting the manager on duty knew. He just simply said "okay". No thank you nor I will make sure trash them. They probably knew that but just see which "lucky customers" could still buy them. *WARNING ITEMS*: bread and milk. Expired all the time. For business purpose, I have to come here every week. Being regularly shopping here for over 5 years, I have to say, this Sam's has nothing better than Costco except they have some items I couldn't find in Costco. See attached picture. I come to this Sam's Club frequently and lately I have left my cart full of items at the front of the store upon seeing the checkout. I don't know why they buy so many cash registers if they only have 5 of them open? The cashiers all seem to be very nice. I was about to leave my cart on this visit too, except an employee in a green vest had me step over to jewelry to checkout. The jewelry lady was also very nice. But I still had to wait in line to get my receipt marked. The gas is cheap, and typically the pumps are packed too. This would be a great Sams Club if it wasn't always such a frustration at checkout. I get frustrated seeing the cashiers working hard and managers watching the lines backup out of control then turning commando on their walkee talkies instead of getting on a register themselves. read more

When you call and they smell a problem, on hold you go forever then the dial tone ! Each time I had membership renewal, there system screws up and you money goes to another persons card. Having been to various pizza places, thought it appropriate to list Sam's pizzas, particularly by the slice....They sell pepperoni, cheese, 3 meat and another one which is all veggies whose name escapes me... I have been there many times over the years and find the pizza excellent...I usually get the 3 meat one...It is loaded with meat,the sauce is nice and not bland and plentiful with cheese. What sets theirs apart from other places is the crust is soft, chewy and thick, not hard at the edges like so many of the chains....The price per slice is approx. $1.85 with the slice being the equivalent of a slice and a half in size... A couple with 2 kids shopping and each one wanting a slice would be better off purchasing a whole pizza and saving money....they will cook the pizza right there for one to take home to enjoy...If you ordered a whole pizza at one of the chains you would have no problem eating two slices in short order but the size of slices at Sam's would have you hard pressed to eat two. I have been in Orlando and found the pizza slices at Sam's there the same quality and that one has long lines most of the day.... read more

The employees here are rude, know next to nothing about what policies and general questions, and will try to cheat you if the chance arises. I purchased a Members Mark grill from them at the end of summer, next spring, it rusted through. Members Mark has a lifetime warranty on things like that, but it STILL took me three weeks and SEVERAL phone calls to the home office to get results. Both the store and home office told me the other was responsible for handling the warranty and giving me a replacement, and both said the other was literally lying to me. Now I'm buying tires, and the guy helping me has tried to sell me the wrong tire size twice, and give me a price for $30 higher then what I was quoted two days earlier. Honestly, if I wasn't morally opposed to Costco for lying to me on several occasions , I'd switch my membership in a heartbeat. read more

The store is nice and big. I go there at least one time a week. I walk the whole store every time I go in. They switch items around in there and they have al lot of new items in there weekly. Then there are times I am about to leave the store and go get a hot dog. Surprise there are no hot dogs ready. That is my biggest problem about this store the concession stand. How can you not have hot dogs ready when people come for them. I have seen lines where people are waiting for them to get done. Y'all have got to step your game up on them. read more
