I've been eating breakfast at sams for 30 plus yrs. They have the best french toast and bacon in town.

Kind of a cross between a sports bar with TVs and projector screens, as well as dark walls and dark wood dining. It was pretty quiet when we were there - kind of weird being a weekend evening, We started with some appetizers: bruschetta, steak egg rolls, and fried pepperoni. The bruschetta was good - executed properly and textbook. The bread was toasted but a soft bite - just the right amount of tomato and balsamic. The steak egg rolls were also very good - had a kick with cherry peppers inside. Comes with ranch as a dipping sauce. The fried pepperoni was different. The breading struggled to stay on the pepperoni but it was good overall. For my entree I went with the red chicken parm. It comes with pasta (billed as made from Scratch) and red sauce. There were two hamburger-sized chicken pieces, breaded with cheese and a small amount of sauce on top. I felt like the cheese on the top was scarce - should be more. Upon first bite, I was throttled with the flavor of salt, heavy heavy salt. I tried the other piece and the same. I don't mind salt items but this breading reminded me of overuse of the chicken seasoning pack in ramen, and was just over the top. Pasta was ok. For dessert - since I didn't eat much of the entree, I went with the chocolate cake. Holy hell it's massive. The picture doesn't really do it justice. It was immense. Cake was good - though kind of dry at times. Our waitress was nice - attentive and responsive to us throughout the meal. Would try again - I would say really this is closer to a 3 than a 4 but. Whichever.

It's always great finding hidden gems whenever we make our roadtrips. Here we are in our hotel amongst so many chain restaurants and we do not do chains. Following Yelp reviews we made a list and then checked it twice, yup for real with a local who works at the Hilton in Uniontown. When went with low to medium expectations and had that blown away as soon as Kameron made his intro never saying no to anything we were asking about. For our dinner we started with the crab special, gorgeous chunks of finished in a balsamic reduction. For my main, I had the walleye special and the fish was cooked to perfection very lightly breaded lightly fried, extremely moist, tender, and very tasty and beautifully plated against the side of vegetables. My wife had grilled chicken penne à la vodka that she absolutely loved. We were on such a good role and enjoying ourselves with our bottle of wine as well that we decided to order coffee sides with espresso and a lemon Raspberry cake that our surprise was so amazing. We actually did finish it. Please see photographs of our beautiful meal and since we were in the area for a couple days, we are going again during this trip .

The service was prompt and the space was clean with white cloth napkins. The food was as good as it could be for south western PA. The french onion soup was good. Cheesy and many onions. I liked it. The angel hair was very overcooked and very mushy. I'm not sure what i was thinking as angel hair is hard to cook so maybe stick to the spaghetti. I would recommend the lunch portion over the dinner portion. The meatballs were spiced well and had a nice texture. The sauce was not too sweet but a bit bland. After the soup i really only ate 1 meatball. The stuffed pasta with vodka sauce was good. A bit salty but pasta was cooked well. I would recommend this but again a large portion even for lunch.

Lots of traditional Italian classics on the menu and daily specials. We had veal parmigiana and an Italian sampler with sausage, meatball, a stuffed shell, and ravioli and pasta. The veal was hand breaded and fresh. And enough for two full meals. But the breading overwhelmed the veal and it was a little over cooked. The tomato sauce was tasty but creamier more than tomatoey. I like a sauce with fresh tomatoes and less of a creamy feel. The samplers was good. The beef raviolis were basic and classic. The sausage was top notch - great seasonings, a little spicy, and very juicy and tasty. The meatball was ok-not memorable. Service was attentive and we appreciated the offer of additional sauce midway through our entrees. All in all, good scratch cooking and decent value. It was a good choice for dinner.

(not the best for the socially anxious types) Food: Best alfredo I've ever had, buttery, salty, and chicken was tender! They know how to measure out their ingredients well, and make sure things taste up to par. Value: Standard pricing for a casual sit down Italian place, nothing above $35, nothing below $12 but the salad and soups. One thing to note; Small portioned pastas are only $13, so if you want a quick and small pasta dish, meloni's isn't a bad bet!

After some inquiry I find out it is that way all the time, year-round. After getting over the Christmas décor shock, I settled down with a double bourbon Manhattan to review the menu, which was also surprising in that it was a handwritten individual daily menu, not the standard menu of most restaurants with nothing special for the day. And, the menu was awesome with great selections from veal parm to prime rib, pork chops Angus streaks, salmon, etc. About 18 choices in all. I selected the prime rib rare and Beloved went for the grilled salmon. Both dishes arrived precisely as ordered and we found both to be totally delicious. I also was impressed with the price of $25.95 for such a good cut of prime rib, a regular bargain compared to what I am used to paying for the same elsewhere. With its outstandingly good service and good food, Flamingo's Hollywood Steak House is a place I can recommend, especially if you love Christmas year-round.
