I've been eating breakfast at sams for 30 plus yrs. They have the best french toast and bacon in town.

Stopped here while in the area for dinner. This had been on the list for awhile, and able to…read morefinally get here and try it. Kind of a cross between a sports bar with TVs and projector screens, as well as dark walls and dark wood dining. It was pretty quiet when we were there - kind of weird being a weekend evening, We started with some appetizers: bruschetta, steak egg rolls, and fried pepperoni. The bruschetta was good - executed properly and textbook. The bread was toasted but a soft bite - just the right amount of tomato and balsamic. The steak egg rolls were also very good - had a kick with cherry peppers inside. Comes with ranch as a dipping sauce. The fried pepperoni was different. The breading struggled to stay on the pepperoni but it was good overall. For my entree I went with the red chicken parm. It comes with pasta (billed as made from Scratch) and red sauce. There were two hamburger-sized chicken pieces, breaded with cheese and a small amount of sauce on top. I felt like the cheese on the top was scarce - should be more. Upon first bite, I was throttled with the flavor of salt, heavy heavy salt. I tried the other piece and the same. I don't mind salt items but this breading reminded me of overuse of the chicken seasoning pack in ramen, and was just over the top. Pasta was ok. For dessert - since I didn't eat much of the entree, I went with the chocolate cake. Holy hell it's massive. The picture doesn't really do it justice. It was immense. Cake was good - though kind of dry at times. Our waitress was nice - attentive and responsive to us throughout the meal. Would try again - I would say really this is closer to a 3 than a 4 but. Whichever.

Nothing was bad, it's just the same menu items and food like at every other local spot. Nothing…read moresticks out, and are all items you can make at home, better. With the amazing location, building, they need to stand out. The pizza wasn't bad, though the dough was certainly pre-made and frozen , then thawed for our pizza.

(We usually each get the whole chicken breast for $3) but decided to try the tender especially when we got told we get 3!!! So we order 2 orders od them! Excepting to have 6 chicken tenders! When my wife came back out and opened the white box with foil in it this is what she saw!! Litteraly 1 chicken tender. So I went back in to find out and get my order fixed. After standing there for 15 mins while our other food got cold. A lady finally came over!! I showed and she told me that for 3 dollars you onle get 1 tender not 3!!! Now you imagine my surprise and shocked especially when my wife who was on speaker phone clearly got told 3 pieces for 3 dollars. Ininstead of the lady try to make it right especially since I was there for 15 mins she argued with me and got very rude!!!! And the is what I left with for 2 orders of chicken tenders. Please tell me if you think it was worth the $6 dollars I just paid!!!! WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THAT PLACE AGAIN!!!! Wish I could give a -5 stars

Was craving steak and this place has some good reviews so drove a wee bit out of the way to check…read moreout. It's def no frills, very casual. There were some hits, some misses. Plus side, initial service was fast and friendly but no water delivered (had to ask). The crab cake appetizer (market price $16.95) was good, two fairly large crab cakes - not too much filler, served with a tasty mayo sauce. Dinner arrived, the hit was that the filet mignon was super tender but came out very rare, not medium as requested. But they took this back and it came back charred on the outside but perfectly cooked inside, still good and served with salad and baked potato. The chicken club sandwich was good, wine was passable. The fish and chips however were very terrible.... frozen (Groton ?) fish sticks is not what we were prepared for so that was a massive no thanks. (The menu describes this as Icelandic cod filets prepared in a seasoned beer batter...)

The restaurant was clean and the staff was very friendly, I had a grilled chicken wrap, it was so-so and I was disappointed because they advertised homemade chips with all the sandwiches but what I got we were rippled chips from a bag. My friend had fish and chips and a cup of lobster bisque, he wasn't happy with the fact that all his food was cold. Overall I felt as though they dropped the ball, not horrible but I can't see myself going back.

It's like I…read morewas there in August and the entire place is all dolled up and lavishly decorated for, would you believe, Christmas! After some inquiry I find out it is that way all the time, year-round. After getting over the Christmas décor shock, I settled down with a double bourbon Manhattan to review the menu, which was also surprising in that it was a handwritten individual daily menu, not the standard menu of most restaurants with nothing special for the day. And, the menu was awesome with great selections from veal parm to prime rib, pork chops Angus streaks, salmon, etc. About 18 choices in all. I selected the prime rib rare and Beloved went for the grilled salmon. Both dishes arrived precisely as ordered and we found both to be totally delicious. I also was impressed with the price of $25.95 for such a good cut of prime rib, a regular bargain compared to what I am used to paying for the same elsewhere. With its outstandingly good service and good food, Flamingo's Hollywood Steak House is a place I can recommend, especially if you love Christmas year-round.
