When I tried to book it the price was different (still had the $1079 price but checkout was different) so I gave a call to check in. When the price was given to the lady on the phone... she laughed at me. I was then told that it was priced incorrectly and we would not be able to get it for that price. The price went from $1079 to $1709. I can see where it can from but I do believe thy price should have been given due that price being shown for over a month. Just from the customer service of the phone call alone... I do not recommend.

I requested a refund in July, and was told the instructor was out of town again and would reach out when he returned. It's now September and I've heard or received nothing. This is highly unacceptable for an organization that claims it supports wounded warriors and disabled veterans. 10/2/2021 In response to the owner's response. I do appreciate taking ownership for missed communication, but expeditiously means "in a timely manner". My original request for a refund was 3 months ago, and as of today I have yet to see the refund. Once the refund is seen, I would be more than happy to return the knot rope, cert book, textbook, and the drawstring backpack they came in. Aside from that, I was offered for my family and I to attend a discovery sail at no cost. I declined due to time constraints now that summer break has ended. I will say this. I chose this school based on the reviews found on Google and Facebook which are really great, and at the recommendation of the ASA. I'm sure the captain is great and believe that other people may have had great experiences here, this is just mine. They sold us the boat, it's a 2016 Nautique 230, and the first time out, it ran fine but wouldn't restart after stopping to swim. It did the same for the next 2 lake days. The problem only showed up after the engine was hot and had been turned off for a while, so I don't fault them for not catching it before selling it at all. Anyways... I called them and they sent someone all the way up from Texas to come get the boat and fix it. They ended up having to replace some major components at a considerable expense to them. They did it all free of charge and have been very responsive to my questions and concerns. It is so rare to find a company that stands by their word and does the right thing even when it's detrimental to their bottom line. I'm a lifelong customer now for sure! We wanted to do something fun with the kids. We originally planned to rent from another business…read morebut they didn't do rentals because of the lake flooding. They recommended we try Sam's Dock. The hours of the business say they close at 8 pm. No where on their site or at their location do they state the last rental was at 6 pm. We arrived at 6:02 and the woman wouldn't rent a jet ski to us. It was disappointing for the kids but we decided to return the next day. We arrived with plenty of time to rent a jet ski. There were 5 of us but it turns out we can't rent a jet ski for 3. Because of this, we didn't want to leave one child alone at the dock so we opted to rent one jet ski and my husband took the kids out to the lake one at a time. We sat at the restaurant, which was closed, in between the kids' turns. The minimum rental is 2 hours on the jet skis and you have to pay for gas on top of the rental fee. This was a surprise to us. We ended up having to pay an extra $50+ for the gas for 2 hours. Just be aware of that. This side of the lake there wasn't any parking fee so that was good. I think they provided us with a military discount, which was great. My husband mentioned the young man didn't know how to use the point of sale computers either. It took at least 30 minutes to check in and pay before getting on the jet ski so make sure to factor in that your timing.
