It has been four years since I have been here. About a 30 minute wait, but not because of the crowd. Over half the tables were open. But minimal wait staff. Waitresses were running wide open, trying their best, but just couldn't keep up, even with half the tables closed. Menu was half of what it used to be. I ordered the pasta, it was as good as I remembered but my "toast" was bread with some garlic butter in it, no heat had be applied. Wife said the ribs were as good as she remembered but the sweet potato fries were cold and soggy. Definitely been sitting a while. Very disappointing, when we lived in the Florence area, we ate here 3-4 nights a week. Was always packed, wall to wall with plenty of staff and double the menu choices. Hope they recover and get back to where they used to be, a five star restaurant. Sad to say I could only give three stars this visit. read more

Excellent service and delicious food!! Stopped here for late lunch in town visiting friends. We had the spinach dip, cheeseburger, and sliders. The spinach dip was delicious and the tortilla chips were fresh and I believe housemade. Burger and sliders were cooked perfectly and actually seasoned well. This was some excellent bar food. And the service was friendly and attentive. We had a veggie burger, a regular burger, and a fish sandwich. The veggie burger was one of the better versions we've tasted in a while. And the fish was spiced and cooked perfectly. The burger was cooked to perfection, and was very tasty. The food and service at this specific location is ALWAYS good but what really stood out to my girlfriend and I on this specific visit was the service. We had Eli as a server and he was insanely amazing. He made sure our drinks were always full and checked on us multiple times throughout our visit. Pros: Our pizza was delicious even AFTER we reheated it so we we're definitely impressed! We also ordered chicken nachos, mozzarella sticks and a cheeseburger. The parking was tight but since they have their own lot so we found a space fairly quickly. We were greeted upon arrival, they were nice and we had the option to choose our seats (which I loved). Cons: Well, outside of my burger and toppings being too dry, everything else was awesome (FYI, a well done burger can be cooked without being dried out). To go order was horrible. I asked the rep before ordering were the wings fried and she told me they were , I asked for them to be fried extra crispy. The chicken wings were not fried, under cooked, and they appeared to be baked. The chicken strip basket was horrible. The fries recked grease, the chicken was definitely undercooked.(see pictures). I called to inform the manager that I was very dissatisfied and this type of service was unacceptable after spending over $30. She told me they couldn't refund my monies. This place seems like a safe place to go after a long day of golf. It checked all the boxes; sports theme, TVs, beer, and food, But we had issues from the start. Our waitress was a real piece of work. From the moment our party of eight was seated her attitude was toxic. Her comments were somewhere between sarcastic and smart ass. She complained about management, long hours, and other customers. At one point we wondered if it was just an act for attention. But the service was not good. For example, someone in our party asked for ice three times before she remembered to bring it. I ordered the Rubin sandwich and it was just okay. The stacked corned beef made the sandwich a little dry. The consensus of our group was their food was average. On a positive note the chicken nachos were very good. read more

Now the is staff good. The prices are good. The food however, is insanely good! I've had a lot of ribs but these are by far the best. And the chicken tenders are in a class by themselves. My father who recently passed away and could barely get out chose this as our go to spot. Several months ago it was the very last meal we would have together. He loved it. And I loved that he did. We came in on the middle of their Sunday brunch rush. We put our name in on the waiting list and went to the bar for a drink while we waited. We had two different employees tell us we couldn't sit at one of the many empty tables, we had two others tell us we could. Peeps, get your rules straight! We were ready to leave and try another place when Jackson, aka Big Dawg , came over to us and said, you are fine. I'll take care of you. I am a professional and I frequent Sams locations for lunch often. I am VERY upset about an incident that just occurred at your location. My cousin and I were waiting on our food to come out, and the manager approached us and told us we could not have outside beverages. Well, my smart water bottle was on the table so I politely put it in my purse. He proceeded to tell us that's not allowed either, ultimately forcing us to leave the location without having eaten. I have never been more appalled in my entire life or dealt with in such an unprofessional manager from an establishment. I will be contacting corporate, as well as leaving a review on yelp. My family spent over $400 in the store, and we got attitude all night from a certain amount of staff. There was a large group of us and we tipped almost $100, and as we were leaving my grandmother fell because the floors were slippery and half of the serving on floor staff laughed, they gave us fake names when we asked so we could make a report and honestly the food and worth the money. I went here the other night and it very busy. I was alone so I went and sat at the bar, being very busy I was prepared for a longer than normal wait. The bartender was attentive and very courteous, chicken wings and salad came out fairly quickly. In fairness, I posted a very favorable review last year. However, my past 2 experiences have not been good. My wife and I r retired on a fixed income, so we don't eat out very often. That said, Sam's has been a go to since we moved to the area 2 years ago. This past Saturday, we went for lunch an it was awful. A) the bar area, where we ate, was ridiculously hot. B) the one bartender was completely overwhelmed and unable to take care of the patrons and c) our food took forever and arrived overcooked and cold. $40+ for crappy food in a hot bar and indifferent service. The food at Sam's is always great! They have some of the best chicken tenders and honey mustard you'll ever find. I brought my grandmother when she visited from California and she agreed. It's got a great atmosphere and you can always catch a game there. The staff is wonderful. The service was great. Our waitress kept the refills coming but the food wasn't as good as I had hoped. The pizza crust was good but the toppings on my pizza were incorrect. Everyone's food came out at different times. The spinach and artichoke dip was very good. I guess between the wait and food being sporadicly brought out I was disappointed. I read that Sams Sports Bar was voted by Maxim as one of the top 16 best Sports Bar in America. ... I sad to say it was very misleading. ... I got the Philly Steak & Cheese...even with A 1 sauce it was uneatable. .. the chicken tenders was served cold with what they called BBQ sauce for dipping. .. A very bad taste...
