We love the fabric, which had the look of leather but is actually a nice cool fabric. And the center section folds down to reveal usb ports. So convenient! And we gotta give 5 stars to their delivery man, Mike. He's always arrives when he's supposed to and sets everything up. He's got a great attitude. 1 Star - Extremely Disappointing Post-Purchase Support I purchased furniture from 916 Furniture on Tuesday, December 9th. The purchase itself went smoothly. The bed frame was delivered and, while basic (think Amazon-quality furniture), it was decent for the price and visually nice. Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ended. I also purchased a TV stand, and when I went to assemble it, I discovered that the furniture is missing required holes, making it impossible to put together or use (photos attached). This is clearly a manufacturing defect. I reached out to the company on December 24th to report the issue. I was informed they were out for the holidays until January 5th, which I understood. However, I did not receive any follow-up until I messaged again on January 5th to check on the status. I received a brief reply--and since then, I have been completely ignored, despite multiple attempts to resolve this. As of now, I have a piece of furniture that I am actively paying for and cannot use. To make matters worse: The phone number previously used to contact me, (916) 223-9440, is now no longer working, despite the fact that I was called and messaged from it prior to reporting this issue. The financing app lists the business under a different name: "Sams Sofa And Mattress LLC." When calling another listed number, (916) 305-1967, a man named Amir answers. When I explained the situation, I was told, "I wrote everything down and passed him the notes," yet nothing has been done. At this point, the lack of communication, the disconnected phone number, and the inability to get a resolution is extremely frustrating and unprofessional. I gave this company ample time and opportunity to fix a clear defect, and they failed to do so. ‼ ATTENTION WARNING ‼ This is my first worst experience ever buying furniture from Sam's Sofa & Mattress!! Please read all the way through my experience with this business. I know it's long, but it's important to share exactly what happened so others can avoid what I've been through. I already made a review about this place but I am making another one that is more updated with details and dates. On Monday, June 7th, 2025, I purchased a sofa from Sam's Sofa and Mattress. Sam told me he could get the sofa into his store by Friday, June 11th and deliver it that weekend (June 12th or 13th). In reality, it took about three weeks for delivery. During this time, I made numerous attempts to contact him. When he did not deliver on the weekend of June 12th-13th, I went four days with no response from him. On June 16th, I texted him stating that I wanted to cancel my order. I did not receive a reply. On June 17th, I posted reviews about my experience on Google, Yelp, and his Facebook business page. On June 18th, Sam called me, saying he had been sick. I told him again that I wanted to cancel my order. He said he would call me the next day, but I did not receive that call. After that, I noticed I could no longer view his Facebook business page, which led me to assume he blocked me. On June 25th, a week later he called saying he had my order and asking when was the best time to deliver. I told him I still wanted to cancel. He claimed someone else had called on my behalf to schedule delivery. I told him neither I nor my spouse had done that. He refused to issue a refund and said I would be getting a letter from his attorney, and that we could take the matter to small claims court. After considering the stress and time of small claims, I decided to proceed with the order. On June 26th, I called him as soon as his store opened to say I wanted my sofa and we could move forward. He told me I needed to call the finance company and sign some documents, and that he could deliver by Thursday, July 31st because the sofa had been "shipped back" and his attorney had already sent a letter. On July 31st, I stopped by the store to speak with him about delivery. He was not there, but his mother was. In my opinion, she was very rude during our conversation. She asked my name, then immediately referenced my reviews, saying, "Oh, you're the girl that's been writing all these nasty reviews about us." She also addressed my boyfriend about his "bad" reviews as well. She asked why I would want my sofa if I was posting complaints. On August 1st, around 8am I texted Sam informing him that from here on out I wanted all communications in writing, either through text or email and if we continued to speak through the phone, I will be recording our conversations. A few hours goes by and he calls me around 12pm to let me know that he's got my sofa in his van and if right now would be a good time to deliver. Sam delivered the sofa but did not assemble it, even though I had paid for delivery and assembly. He told me I could come to the store to pick up a check for the assembly fee. My boyfriend and I assembled the sofa ourselves on August 7th, we soon found that one section would not connect properly and one of the legs was broken. The latch system was the same on both sides, making it impossible to connect as intended. On August 8th, I texted Sam to inform him that the sofa was incomplete, defective, and not in the condition promised at the time of sale. I requested immediate action to provide a fully functional replacement part or a replacement sofa that met the purchase terms, giving him three business days to respond. I stated that if I did not receive a response, I would file complaints with consumer protection agencies and consider small claims court. It is August 15th and It has now been five business days without a response. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and other relevant consumer protection agencies. I truly wish my purchase had gone smoothly, but based on what I went through, I cannot recommend this furniture store. I hope this feedback encourages better communication and customer service in the future. read more

*Great Prices but Poor Communication and Wrong Couch Delivered* We recently purchased a couch from Sam's Furniture, and while it started off as a positive experience, it ended with a lot of frustration and disappointment. When we visited the store, Sam was kind and respectful. We liked that he let us browse without pressure. He was helpful when we mentioned that the couch we liked might not fit in our space, and he offered alternative options that could be customized to the size and fabric we wanted. We appreciated the effort and ended up placing the order over the phone. He sent the receipt via text, and everything felt professional and smooth at first. He told us we'd receive the couch within a week and gave us the choice of Friday, Saturday, or Sunday for delivery. We chose Saturday morning. Saturday came, and we waited--but nothing showed up. We finally got a call around 11 a.m. saying the driver had mechanical issues the day before and they were now behind. That call should have come on Friday. We ended up wasting our entire morning waiting for a delivery that clearly wasn't coming. The couch eventually arrived around 5 p.m. The delivery person was polite and asked where we wanted it set up. That part was fine. But once the couch was in place, we realized it was the wrong couch. It was the one we had originally passed on due to size. It barely fits and now blocks off part of our space. Sam had told us we could rearrange the layout to fit better, but with this version, we can't. That selling point turned out to be false. We reached out to let Sam know about the mistake. We've received no response at all. This complete lack of communication is what pushed us to write this review. We were patient and understanding when things went wrong. But silence after delivering the wrong item is unacceptable. What also doesn't sit right with us is that, during the sale, Sam actually mentioned the bad reviews on his website. He told us not to pay attention to them and said they were fake. That gave us some hesitation at the time, but he had been nice and helpful, so we gave him the benefit of the doubt. In hindsight, we wish we had paid more attention. After our own experience and seeing how he has ignored our messages, we now understand why those reviews exist. To be clear: the prices at Sam's are definitely lower than most places, and the couch we got still looks nice. But it's not what we ordered, it doesn't function the way we were told it would, and now we're stuck with it. Had Sam just responded and worked with us, this review would be a lot different. We're not trying to be difficult--we just wanted the product we paid for, or at least an honest attempt to make things right. We tried to buy 3 barstools from this business and have been ripped off for $678.25 Sam who runs the store was very friendly when we attempted to order the barstools from his catalog in good faith. We gave him a personal check in advance which he cashed the next day. He kept giving g us the run a round for several weeks and months. He stated the stools would be ready to be delivered in a week which led to several weeks. He then said that they were lost. We have asked for a refund and he has refused to give us back our money. I went to small claims court and won a judgement. He has still refused to give us back our money. This business is a scam and crooked as hell. He scams people and nothing is ever done about it. Bad experience dealing with Sam the owner. Not an honest person. Paid cash on Thursday (12-21-23) and was told I would get my sofa recliner delivered next Friday (12-29-23) by 7pm. Delivery never happened. Text him next day, no response. I went in to talk to him in person the following week. He blamed it on the New Year and his driver not answering his phone. I talked to Mike, he knew nothing. I asked for a refund. It will take 3-5 business days and he will write me a check. I gave you cash I want cash back. I didn't know buying a sofa would be this complicated. Told me to wait couple more days it's almost here. Yeah right?!! Talked to him on the phone and in person several more times. Usually, I do not give reviews unless it can really help someone. My experience had been terrible. Went in seeing an AD on Facebook. Decided to purchase something in his catalog. Sam seemed like a nice person, trustworthy. He used paypal invoices, which was strange. He said it will be here within a week. 2 weeks go by and nothing. I decided to call Sam, to my surprise He says it will take about another week. No harm with waiting a bit longer. Within 2 months I get the same story. His LA warehouse has it. He wouldn't let me contact them. Nothing has showed up. I requested for a refund because it is over 2 months and no items are received. The FTC says within 7 days a business must refund if no items were received. He made it especially hard going back and forth with saying he can cut us a check or started a refund with PayPal. 3 weeks past, nothing. I'd file disputes with the FTC, BBB, PayPal and my Bank. It was a huge waste of time. I do not want to say it was a scam, although it felt like it. We bought almost the same thing on Amazon and it was delivered in 3 days. Found this place on a whim... walked into the store and was greeted by a nice gentleman, Mike. I told him I was looking for a full size mattress and box spring for a spare bedroom-he quickly showed me my options, tested them out and got a GREAT deal on both! When I asked if they deliver and how soon I could get them he said TODAY, in a few hours!!! What?!?!? Talk about excellent customer service! He quoted me a small window of my delivery time, showed up on time, quickly set up and left. Gave him a credit card to order $2903.00 sectional from Jackson Furniture on 7/22/21~ said 3-4 wks~ end of Aug he said it has been shipped and the 2nd freight co. had picked it up in L.A. and should be any day! I came across the this furniture place on Letgo, my husband & I went to check out his show room & we liked a set we paid & put in our order the guy Sam said it comes in two models which was the autumn on left or the right we then described how our living room set up was & where the autumn would be by the window or when you walked in the door etc..we ended up picking the autumn to be on the LEFT side which the one we got delivered was on the RIGHT which the one in the show room (the example) at his store was ON THE RIGHT, so we specifically said not THAT one we wanted it to be on "this" side which we pointed was the opposite direction of the example..
