The sides were very good, I had the red beans and rice and the Cole slaw which was very good. My only complaint was the portions. We came as an adult family of four. The owner welcomed us straight away and sat us at a table for four, but it felt cramped so I asked to be moved to the 6-seater, which she happily did. We were handed menus and since I hadn't looked at the menu beforehand online I was pleasantly surprised to see it was a fish/seafood/chicken establishment. Oysters were on the menu, and since I had not ever had oysters I asked to try one before I ordered, and they accommodated me nicely! (They have both raw and fried; i chose the fried.) It was deliciously lovely so I ordered the 8-count. And since we were new they gave each of us extra food! It was so nice. The staff were wonderful, making sure we had all we needed. Grandson had the kids chicken nuggets, served with fries, 2 hush puppies and a roll. Chicken was perfection; didn't even try the fries! Hubby had 2 catfish filets, shrimp, coleslaw and hush puppies. Adult daughter and I shared 6 pc catfish filets, rice/beans, hush puppies. Catfish was seasoned and cooked perfectly, perfect crispness, and the filets were so LARGE! His shrimp were the largest I've seen in a long time and, once again, cooked to perfection . Our other sides were good, but didn't match up size wise - smaller than I would think in view of the size of everything else! Good service, excellent coleslaw, good shrimp, and the fish breading was well done. That said... Cheese sticks, but no marinara. "Philly" cheesesteak with no provolone cheese... only cheese choice is Swiss. Most people don't like Swiss and if you're gonna call it a Philly cheesesteak, you should use the proper cheese. The crab cakes were more cake than crab and everything looked like it could have been bought at Sams club. All in all, mostly just a blah fried food meal. read more

Wow! We stopped in on our way home rom Hot Springs. We were both a little hangry & my husband wanted something different than the normal fast food...Gotta say, it was way better than I expected!! We split the tilapia platter with rice & beans (loved that smokey flavor) & a side salad.
