Their food is good not amazing. Better than Colton's! If I'm craving a steak we usually go here. Service is good. People are friendly.

Heard this was the best place to get a steak in town, so we decided to try it out. They had a 10oz ribeye for $22 as their daily special posted on a board outside so we went with that. Walking in the place is what you would expect from most "steakhouses" lots of cowboy pictures and farm style signs. We were escorted to our table and a bucket of peanuts placed in front of us. I actually miss these old places where you can throw the shells on the floor! Our server was very friendly and accommodating. I only had one complaint and it was the corn; very mushy so my server traded it for the mac and cheese with no questions. My steak seemed a little thin, but had great flavor. My wife's seemed to have about two ounces of fat on hers. My main complaint about that is they should be trimming more fat off these steaks. Stopped in about 1:30 Sat. Feb 14,2026, ordered the 10 ounce ribeye. Cooed perfectly! Ready in about 5 minutes. Excellent steak. one of the best I have eaten in years. Seasoned perfectly! Steak was well marbled, this adds to the flavor. Great and seated very quickly. nice quart of sweet tea. Baked potato was very good. I ordered corn on the cob and it was also cooked perfectly. Neither of our steak had any excess fat. Excellent!! Fat is where the flavor is!! Carly our waitress was excellent, really nice young lady. Pope county is a dry county. No liquor sales. None. WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE BRANGUS!! This is the most recent time we've gone but in the last year we've gone upward for once a month and we are never disappointed. This last time we got an appetizer of chili cheese fries which were to die for! We almost always get steak or chicken strips this time we opted for chicken strips and they were cooked to perfection! Okra and sweet potato's were also perfect as are my husbands fries. The service is always amazing, quick with refills on drinks (a must for my hubby!) and the place is just so cozy and cute. Nasty place. On a motorcycle trip with 4 buddies, and we have had pretty decent luck dining out. Not at this dump. All the steaks look exactly the same, the only thing different is the price. One of the group got a rib-eye, which was actually a gristle-eye. He pointed that out to the waitress, who responded that she didn't cook them, just served them. That is the first time I have ever heard a waitress say that. She said she would bring another, and my friend decided to try the filet. Guess what? It looked just like the rib-eye! Except for a much higher price! My rib-eye had so much salt in it I had to guzzle water. We ate at Colton's when we first got into town, and I thought that place was a dump. I'm afraid to say that a cow had to lose its life for my meal. I was really sad to know that a sweet potato was also killed to feed me. I feel terrible. That poor potato never hurt anyone (that I know of). This is one of those steak restaurants where they let you throw peanut shells on the floor. When Chili's or Colton's seem like a better choice for steaks and overall food quality, it's hard to justify a 2nd trip. Went for a family meal for 3 as our son was visiting from out of town. This place is dirty, dusty decor and the skillets they served our food on were rusty. The waitress wasn't too friendly, she seemed bothered when we asked for dressing, which seemed watered down. The mac and cheese is from a prefab frozen block. We were traveling through on our way home. Stopped in order get something good to make it the rest of the way. We went in and you do have a choice of getting peanuts. We ordered steaks, all 3 of us, we weren't expecting it to come on sizzling plates but they did. The steaks were WONDERFUL!!!! They did not need anything extra to eat them with. I mean if you wanted to you could but you really didn't. The restaurant was wheelchair friendly until we got to the restroom situation. The wheelchair could go in but it was a struggle to use the facilities. Overall we now try to make it a stop when we travel through that part of Arkansas. read more

We came for lunch today and it was awesome. My husband ordered the ten ounce steak with okra, macaroni, and a loaded potato. My Meemaw had chicken fried steak with corn and mashed potatoes. I had a single fried shrimp and some peanuts. The meal was enjoyed by all and the price was extremely reasonable. If I lived less than 500 miles away I would go back frequently. Fatty meat and all cuts look the same whether it's a rib-eye or a fillet. Not worth it. The server was fine and was not the problem

Ordered a 16 oz ribeye medium well, it came to the table and after cutting it, looks well done, zero pink. Savanah asked if everything was ok I said the steak was ok, she insisted that I get one that has some pink as a medium well steak does. After eating a baked potato and green beans, water to drink, steak # 2 arrives, looks wonderful, has pink inside and was the toughest damn steak I think I've ever had, a few bites, I take the rest to go, 26 dollars later, apparently I'm the fool. I could grill a ribeye better than that when I was 12 years old. Being a nice guy I didn't want to say anything so I paid, left a 5 dollar tip and walked out. #neveragain After traveling to Texas and having a steak at The Big Texan in Amarillo, home of the free 72 oz steak. The thing was maybe 3/8" thick and tough and chewy even though it had enough tenderizer seasoning for a steak 3 times its size. I don't really have any complaints about this place other than my drinks always seem to be watered down. . . Other than that, the food is good (except the ribs. . . too much fat on them). The serving sizes are okay, and they have a real southern flare (you drink out of pickle jars). That's kind of cool. The prices are average. All in all, it's a nifty place to eat. read more

This place is still my favorite steakhouse. The atmosphere is fun (I love the rustic decor!) and I've never had bad service. Matt (the owner) is almost always walking around, interacting with customers, and making sure everything is top-notch. Worst place ever to eat, i ordered a filet mingon and it looked like a skillet steak. Super thin and well done. I ordered medium. They said it was 8 oz, definately NOT!!!! I thought about going to Wal Mart and getting them one just to show them what it is suppose to look like. Will not ever go back. You can not call yourself a steakhouse if you serve steaks that are literally cut under a half inch. It was think. It was tougher because a thin steak can't be cooked properly. If you are looking for a cheap crappy steak and decent other food. Go here. They advertise that they cut there steaks daily. I highly doubt this is the case. Maybe cut the plastic vacuum pack bag off them. A steak house that cuts steaks like this simply has no clue what so ever how to cut a steak. Rustic kinda steak house. Quick to seat us. Peanuts upon sitting down and ya throw them to the floor. House salad had real bacon diced up on a chopped salad. Nice surprise. Fillet was very good, ordered rare, cooked closer to medium rare. Had some spice or marinade that grew on me after a couple of bites.
