They did a good job but are a bit expensive compared to other places. I brought my LG G6 in to replace the display that had been damaged by impact. They quoted me $230 to fix, which was a bit high since other places quoted $150 - $175, but I trusted they would do a good job so I allowed them to order the new part. Three days later I was informed that the part was in. On the way there, I dropped my LG and damaged the backing. I had taken the protective case off so they could replace the display. They ended up fixing the backing as well, stating that they could not fix the display unless they fixed the backing as well. However, they gave me a bit of a discount to repair both. Overall, so far everything is looking good and although a bit more costly, I recommend because they do good work. read more

The two Gentlemen, Sha & Thomas, are SuperHeroes! My iPhone 6 fell in my dogs water bowl, don't ask how. Fully submerged! Watched the phone start tripping, screen started fading and kept restarting on its own, NEVER plug in a water damaged phone! Brought it in, Thomas immediately opened and disconnected the battery preventing any further damage and immediately started dismantling the whole thing to let air dry over night. I honestly thought it was a goner, or at least at a $300 bill for parts! Get a miraculous phone call at 5pm the next day, and its Sha, phone was fixed and 100% functional in under 24hr!!. Not a single part needed replacement, Thomas ran it through a sonic bath and BOOM! iPhone 6 is back ON! Their quick thinking and immediate action stopped the corrosion from spreading to any parts, my bill came to under $50!!!!!!! And if that wasn't good enough, cherry on the cake, Sha hooked me up w a loner Smartphone for the day while they worked on my iPhone, saving me from getting in trouble at work! read more

"Not impressed" is how I would summarize my experience with this place. I went to this location because of the great reviews of the expediency and knowledge of the repair technicians. I was quoted a relatively high price (compared to the other places that I checked out), but decided to go along with it, given its rating on yelp. Instead, I had to return 4-5 times until it was confirmed that they couldn't fix my phone. I still ended up having to get a new iphone from apple. Arguably, there is no guarantee that a store can fix liquid damage, but I didn't appreciate the way that they went about addressing the issue. I specifically didn't like the fact that during my last attempt to fix it, I handed in my phone around 11:30 a.m. on a Friday and didn't hear from them until I physically went in on Sunday afternoon - there was no email communication. I think the red flag for the technicians should have been that my phone was never entirely charged, when it was given back to me. Perhaps the issue could have been noticed if it was left overnight for observation. Okay, so they did refund my money when they realized that there was no possibility of saving it, but the effort of going back 4-5 times was ridiculous, to say the least. It also meant that I didn't have a working phone for over 3 weeks. To add further insult to injury, I just checked out the final invoice that they sent out and realized that they took off the protective screen that I paid $10 for and did not refund me. Seriously impressed with this place. I had some liquid damage in my iPhone and I was sure that the repair would be either timely or not possible. I took my phone in for repair and they said they could fix it by replacing the screen and cleaning out the inside. The job took 40 minutes (which is insanely quick - I hadn't even finished eating yet!) and everything was fixed. I was so happy that I didn't have to spend hours waiting at the Apple Store, or have to ship my phone out for repair. The cost was a fraction of that of the Apple Store as well. The knowledgable sales associate also recommended a new case and screen protector for my phone upon my inquiry. Display was replaced on my iPhone 5S by these guys.. at first looked good... then with through inspection, top part of the display could be pushed inside and popped out again with release of pressure. but phone worked like charm.. couple days later my reckless hand dropped the phone on carpet.. and display showed black an white strips.. and touch stopped working... I needed a new battery in my iPhone so I went to the Fixt on Boor St. Near Bathurst. Closed. A new tech repair place has taken its place. There was no sign of life there beyond an Open sign. So I went to the Fix at 295 Danforth. It too has gone belly up. There's a barber shop there now. So phone before you go to your local Fixt shop. Sad. Bought a pair of earphones today and was clearly taken advantage of. They fit like $1 dollarama earphones and I saw them on amazon.com for $10us. Sure that's USD but that's 75% on the dollar!!! The Canadian dollar is certainly not that low. Sure I am to blame for not doing my research but this is robbery and can't be legal. An extremely disappointing experience. Fixt advertises itself as "We fix it right, the first time, guaranteed...with minimal downtime." Based on this company mandate and the positive online reviews, I was willing to pay a premium repair price. I brought my Sony Xperia Z3 screen to be replaced due to a couple of areas being non-responsive but otherwise it was great. Unfortunately, my experience was one of the worst consumer experiences I have had in ages. Although they advertise replacing screens in 1-2 hours, in reality they required me to leave the phone at the shop for one day to do a diagnosis, with the promise that they would call my husband's cell or email with an update. The next evening (Day 2) there was still no word so I called to follow-up. They confirmed that the phone's screen needed to be replaced so I asked them to proceed. Why did the customer need to initiate this follow-up? On Day 4 there was still no word. I called again and was told that the wrong part had been ordered. On Day 6 I checked in was told that the two screens that they had received were defective. Did they want me to order a new part? Of course! I was high and dry with no phone and they were sitting on their hands. At this point they offered me $10 off the total cost of $150. It was so minor that it was a joke. On Day 8 the third screen was also not working. They asked me to wait another day (Day 9) for a top notch technician to arrive and give it a try. The screen remained defective so quality control from their vendors was obviously lacking and left me no closer to a repaired phone. At this point I lost all faith in them and requested for my original screen to be put back on. On Day 10 I picked up my phone and it was returned in a non-functioning state! What was originally a problem of some defective pixels became a phone whose screen was 100% unresponsive. My $600 phone was now garbage. What did Management offer as compensation for: 1) Destroying my property, resulting in me having no phone whatsoever. It was no longer even in an acceptable state to get credit from my phone provider toward a new phone purchase. 2) Making me wait 10 agonizing days, with not even a loner phone (the option was offered on Day 8), yet still paying my phone plan 3) Forcing the customer to follow-up every couple of days to get an update 4) A complete failure to deliver any of their corporate promises to the customer Answer: A $25 credit toward a purchase of $40 or more. This process cost me cold hard cash in the fact that I no longer had a working phone, could not even trade it in for credit, and had paid for my phone plan for ten days with no means to use it. In spite of this, they had the gall to suggest that I spend more money with them to get the discount. They didn't even carry the product that I was now forced to buy as a replacement so it was a non-starter. My experience was so upsetting that it brought me to tears. The customer service management team should be ashamed of themselves and has infinite ways to improve upon how they treat their customers and their respective property. read more

This is the best place in the area to get your phone fixed. They were extremely helpful, explaining exactly what the problem was, and what the solutions are. I came at 7 PM, an hour before they were closing, and they were out of stock for the screen I needed. However, they got it ready for the following morning very quickly. This review is regarding my experience from start to finish 02/17 - 05/17 I had looked up Fixt originally to get help with a classic ipod which had a busted headphone jack. I called in and the man was very kind and said they would look at it free of charge if I would write them a review. When I went in he was very honest about the high cost of repairs for classic ipods since they have become rare. They jiggled around with the iPod to confirm it was the headphone jack that needed repairing - tbh it wasn't much of a diagnostic so to say they would look at it for free was fair. I spent some time talking with him and the tech and asked them their opinions on some newly released cell phones and explained that I had cracked the screen on my Nexus 5 recently and it was also restarting itself and acting a bit crazy so I wasn't sure whether to replace it. The same guy who had encouraged me to come in-store gave me a pretty fair assessment and told me it was worth salvaging the phone because it is 'so smooth.' He quoted me a repair fee for the screen, power button and battery replacement that I was okay with. I walked away to consider my options. When I returned in March I met Shah who was courteous and matched my original quote and even went as far to tell me that a new power button wasn't required so he eliminated it from the quote. They were late on the repair by a day so when I went to pick up my phone Shah included a free screen protector which I thought was great customer service! I did notice that when I picked up my phone after the repair the casing on the back (from original phone) was not securely in place and there was a gap at the top connection near the headphone jack and Shah assured me that it would be fine. I thought that was a bit flippant and it should have been connected properly but shrugged it off, eager to have my phone back. A couple of weeks later my phone was having the same problem of restarting itself (the reason I originally consulted them) and I called in and spoke to Shah who said to bring it in no problem. Although a few hours later and the problem seemed to resolve itself so I didn't bother to return. Then, in May the oddest thing happened. My phone's screen started lighting up all kinds of magical colours - full screen of purple, green and wouldn't turn on. When I finally got it on the 'Android' start up graphic wasn't it's usual colours. This alarmed me as I had never seen it before and I looked into a number of Android forums which suggested that it is usually to do with the screen repair and I was advised to bring it to the original shop I had it repaired to have them fix it. I felt comfortable to go back and explain the situation as Shah had been friendly, seemingly honest and courteous from the get-go. I called ahead and he said same day should be fine. When I got into the shop it was a different story of 'we will try our best' which annoyed me as I had explained on the phone that I was leaving the country in the following days. I pointed out that the casing around the screen had now shown cracks around the headphone jack which I found strange which he did not acknowledge for the second time. When I finally came to pick up my phone Shah was present but assisting another customer and left me with a lovely girl whom I believe was a technician. She told me my phone had shown signs of water damage so they could not honour their coverage / warranty on repairs. I got a bit defensive because I had not dropped my phone in any liquid and found it a bit curious. She said the tapes on the inside of my phone showed water damage which I suspect was the result of a faulty backing (gapping between the phone body and case) which let vapours in from the previous day's heavy rain in. The timing certainly matched up with my phone going haywire. I told her the situation about the casing and she agreed but ultimately told me she could not do anything and urged me to talk to Shah as he is the manager and was doing a pretty good job of staying out of it. I put nearly $200 into repairing the phone less than 3 months prior and while my phone may show signs of 'water damage' I firmly believe it was the result of the shotty screen replacement and the backing not being firmly fit onto the back of the phone. I also don't see how a cracking physical body could be summed up to water damage? Or how that absolves them of any responsibility for a physical (and the most costly part) of the repair. That should have been replaced regardless of the internal 'water damage' tapes to prevent further 'water damage'. Nothing was offered, there was no check-in or further conversation afterwards though I am sure the girl expressed my concerns which showed me that once they have your money, they don't really care. I could have stood there and argued my case but quite frankly I lost my trust in their ability/quality of repair and as a result, sadly, they have lost my business. read more

I purchased a new power cord for my android devices at 'Fixt', at 499 Bloor St, West on July 6th/2016 at 05:55 pm,. The two chaps that were working were amazing. One was the ''technician', he fixed electronics, & his colleague was the front of shoppe salesman. There were very personable, helpful, engaging, and friendly. An asset to the Annex... Either go to the Dollarama, or the nearby Metro to experience atrocious service and attitude. I suggest we need way more shoppes like this 'Fixt' all over the city.... I had liquid damage to my iphone and took it in to FIxt to see what they could do. They worked to fix it fast and at the very affordable price they quoted me (no surprise costs, etc...). I then needed their services again for unlocking and had another excellent experience. They're professional, kind, and overall just really great to deal with. I have already referred two friends there for cracked screens and water damage! They also have tons of phone accessories at great prices, including a water damage pouch that you use immediately after your phone is water damaged to "save" it. Overall I had a good experience here. I smashed my phone screen and they had to order a part to replace it, which took 2 weeks, but didn't charge me any extra which was nice.
