I had a tablet screen replaced. After 2 .5 months of normal use the screen lost touch sensitivity. When I returned to the workshop, Tom, the manager, refused to assist because 60-day warranty had passed. A repair like this should last much longer. This raises a concern about the quality of parts and workmanship. Initially Tom offered to check with their supplier, and then he declined to accept that the cause can be poor workmanship or defective part. He became visibly upset and declined to accept responsibility. He started to manipulate the situation and refused to investigate the issue further. He artificially created a situation to stop the repair and refused to provide his manager contacts His attitude was rude and unprofessional. I had a very poor experience and received service that was far below expectations, especially for the $180 I paid. I do not recommend this shop to anyone. They use bad quality parts with little to no warranty. read more

I have been using my phone with a cracked screen since quarantine started. I've gotten quotes from so many locations and even from the "famous" Ubreakifix place. I searched on google for iphone screen repair in Markham and this was the first to pop up. I called and asked quite a lot of questions, but answered it with no problems. I went in near the end of their closing time and they still fixed my phone in less than 30mins. I did the $100 option which was the OLED screen. iPhone X screen type is OLED so going this instead of the $70 option was better, I figured. For Covid-19 precautions, they have the window wall guards up and a slot for you to put your phone, sign, and pay on the table. They spray the table down first, place your phone down, and they spray your phone before picking it up. Same way when they hand it to you. They also all wear masks for protection. On the left side there is a hand sanitizer for you to use. I went in the next day to put a screen protector on my phone and I just saw on Yelp that they give $5 off when you check in. I spoke to one of the employees there and he told me I wasn't able to do it because I should've told them prior. I explained that I was just here yesterday and got my screen fixed, didn't know there was a discount on Yelp. Tars came in the conversation and he said "No problem we'll give you the $5 off." Then showed me how to get it on Yelp. He was kind enough unlike that other guy. Tars seems like he may be the manager. Thank goodness he was there. But anyways I highly recommend them and I'll be going here again if I need my phone fixed (hopefully I never have to though!) read more

It's amazing how many people have shared their experiences with you to me from dealing with you at your shop...and in high school. "Things haven't changed" they say). Some background info: I've gone to this place many times. I'd like to think I'm a valued customer. My kids love to drop my devices so I've been there many times :). Since inception, they have done a decent job fixing things for me and I had no problem recommending them to ALL my friends as well...until now. Before I begin, I just want to reiterate that I'm a firm believer that YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Their replacement parts are cheap. Typical China quality. Quick turnaround, and the prices are good. It is what it is. If I want something fixed for cheap and fast, I'll go there. I don't go there for the customer service. It's a 'shop', not a store. HOWEVER, if I drop off a perfect condition iPad, I do expect it to come back in the same condition. OCT 16, 2018 // I brought my iPad in for a defective screen. I was quoted $100 to fix it. TARS writes up the order form. I asked if I get a copy of the order form so I have a record of me dropping it off. He says I'll get a copy upon pick up. Weird, I've always had a copy of my last 8+ drop offs. Whatever, I trusted he knows me by now so I went on with my day. OCT 17, 2018 7:02PM // I picked it up. It was working. But it was very clear to me that it was not returned anywhere near the condition I had left it. I immediately pointed out the cracked plastic bezel and asked him what happened here. He told me it came like that. I disagreed. I have eyes like a hawk given my occupation. I have a high sensitivity to detail. I began to ask him how this could happen. He reluctantly detailed the process. It was clear to me that they likely did a quick hack job lifting the screen off the bezel. I told him I'm not paying $100 for it. Then he tells me its actually $120, which is not what he had told me on drop off. So he's trying to scam me another 20%. I can tell when someone is trying to pull a fast one on me. That's when he starts losing it and just deflects my further questioning. I asked him to fix it multiple times with no success. I know it's no more than $10 for that plastic bezel/gasket. I reiterated that I'm not going to pay for his horrible hack job. Then he says, "So you're going to steal! I have you on camera stealing!" as he points to his CCTV camera. I told him I will call the cops since he's accusing me of stealing. I have no problem since my friends work for YRP. Then he starts SCREAMING at me to that he's doesn't have time for this and told me he's not going to charge me and take the iPad and GET THE FUCK OUT of his store. I stuck around as a matter of principal. I don't even care about the cost because I have no problem paying. I DO, however, care that a job be done properly. I left the shop and went on with my day. It is mind boggling to me why people can't just run an honest business and serve people with respect. Just make the situation right and deal with it. As we know, bad news travels 10x faster than good news. All this nonsense when all he had to do was replace a $10 part. I HIGHLY recommend everyone read all the NEGATIVE reviews. I had to get my Samsung Galaxy S7 fixed since I cracked the screen glass like a chump. I shopped around for a while and quickly found that most stores wanted an arm, a leg, and probably my first born to replace a piece of glass. My last ditch effort was to head to good old Pacific Mall, but despite its reputation the prices didn't get much better. Thank God I found Mobile Square eventually, who gave me a fair price (relative to all other options) to replace the glass. Their service is great as well. I was able to contact them online and receive a snappy response about their availability of parts, and the price. When I came into the store they gave me an honest idea of the chances that the glass replacement may chip the device. (Btw, 90 or 95% success.) Cracked my iPhone 8 Plus screen and got it fixed at Mobile Square. The repair took 30 mins. The repair made it look like a brand new phone. The repair costs about $80 including tax as I wanted the original screen closest to Apple's current screen. If you want the after market screen but not as good quality, the repair would've costed $55. The cost includes a 30 day warranty in case anything goes wrong. Everything was all good until I put a screen protector on. The calibration was off with the screen protector. So given my concerns, I went back to Mobile Square to see if they can resolve the problem. They agreed there was an issue and they quickly replaced a new screen and also gave me a new screen protector free of charge for the trouble. The new screen worked really well! So far no problems. In my clumsy hands, broken phone screens are an inevitable part of life. After ignoring my cracked phone for months, the spotty touch functionality started to really bug me. This morning, I sent Mobile Square a message on Yelp for a quote and was able to send the same message to their competitors in the area (this is a really cool feature, go Yelp!) I decided to return once again to trusty ol' Mobile Square for some phone TLC. The repair shop is on top of T&T and a staff member quoted me on yelp to fix the LCD screen ($75) and replace the tempered glass protector ($15). He charged me $10 less than he quoted. When I arrived, I recognized both of the staff from last time, which was comforting. The repair took an hour (mental note, bring a watch next time when you're without your phone!) While I waited, I wandered around the plaza - it was abysmal, and picked up some lunch. My phone is shiny and feels and works as good as new! I got my Samsung S8 display screen fixed here. Note that only the display was broken but the touch screen and LCD were not damaged underneath the display. Very quick and good service, and it was the cheapest option in the area at $260. However, the repair voids any water or dust resistance on the S8, and they provide a 30 day warranty on the screen. After 1 hour, I received my phone, took a quick look, and expressed my concern about the gluing of the back panel. They kindly re-did the glue for me, and I received it after an hour. I was happy with the service and referred my brother-in-law there for a screen fix that same week. 2 weeks later, I discover the reason Bixby keeps trying to listen to commands all the time unwarranted. The Bixby button was jammed inside and won't pop back out. I suspect the gluing was not done precisely enough and made the button stick. read more

Great service! Had some water damage on my phone, with my screen working every now and then. So I emailed first to see if they were opened and to get an estimate on the Civic long weekend Monday and sure enough they were & they had a very good price for a screen replacement.   Brought in my phone when they opened and sure enough my screen worked once I got there. Got told that there was no need to do anything for the moment until the screen stops working, which made sense. As I get home, which is not too far, my screen stopped working after 2 hours. I decided to bring my phone back in, and as soon as I bring my phone to Langham Square, it starts working again.   The guy says he can take a look at it, and I should come back in an hour. After I came back, he showed me pictures of the inside of my phone and how there is rust and unfortunately there is not much he can do. He was super honest and said that even if I replace the screen, there's a chance of my phone not working after a short while and advised me to get a new phone. This review only comments on labor, not parts. My Nexus 6P was having battery issues, retaining only about 30% of its original capacity. I found Mobile Square (MS) on Yelp. I was nervous, as many of the lower starred reviews showed concerns about install quality reliability, particularly with screens on Samsung and Apple devices. I was also especially concerned with one review, that said MS was giving out screen protectors with repairs in exchange for positive reviews. Hopefully that was not true. I also saw many positive reviews about the quick turnaround and reasonable pricing - nobody wants to throw away phones and reasonable prices reduce landfill waste, so I highly respected Mobile Square for this. -- Reliability issues aside, I decided to go forward. -- I had an OEM battery I purchased earlier elsewhere and wanted to get it installed. MS was able to give me a quote over Yelp's messaging system (you can find it on the Mobile Square Yelp page), and the price was fair. Before the repair, they also warned that my camera lens may break while removing the backplate. I appreciated the warning as it was very professional. The repair itself was quick, but given the reliability issues from past reviews, I was sure to check my phone carefully, during which I saw that my camera lens had some debris under it (looked like styrofoam). The owner was able to remove the debris quickly by removing and replacing the lens using a heat gun. Given that my battery was from elsewhere, they told me before receiving my payment that they would be unable to provide a warranty. I think it was a fair assumption that there would be no warranty, but it would have been a plus if there was at least warranty on the labour - what if I had walked out then come back with the debris under the camera lens!! One final note is that the owner was friendly, but the other gentleman was very unfriendly. Didn't feel welcome until the owner took over. I also noticed recently that my camera appears smudged in one corner when taking photos. It's more obvious depending on what I'm taking a photo of. Cleaning outside of lens didn't help. Could be related to the repair? TL;DR ---- They are quick and reasonably priced. They are generally professional. There are reliability and quality issues in their repair jobs, so I would caution checking your phone before leaving the store. Bottom line is: I would go back for my next repair. read more

I brought a screen on Boxing Day (Dec 26, 2017) the next day it stops working. They tried to blame me and tell me that I dropped it, WHICH I DIDN'T. Then they changed the screen and everything was perfectly fine. They didn't want to change ii at first but they have no excuse since I was there just the day before. I've been there twice now to fix my LED screen in less than a year. First off my screen is popping out. Secondly, EVERY time I have been back I seem to miss a screw from the back of my phone. So yes, now I am missing two screws on the back of the phone. Oh, and my friend also got his phone fixed there and his screen is also popping. I had to repeatedly come back because the glass was lifting up. After three attempts, they refused to provide a refund and also refused I speak to the store manager. You can get a quote first prior to the visit, I had issue with my nexus 5x before and the guy did a free inspection for me, but ended up not the battery problem so he told me it won't be worth to fix it because it might cost a lot more than the value of the phone. I have a Google Pixel 2 XL, and 10 places I've asked for a quote was over $280 plus tax, these guys $220 cash deal and the quality of the screen is nigh impossible to tell it's not factory. Also they were the only ones out of 10 quotes, who said they can fix the glass only if the screen was working for $180, however because I tried to DIY replace the glass, with my fat fingers I damaged the screen as well. Shattered my Samsung s7 edge phone a while ago and has always wanted to get it replaced.
