Don't let the name fool ya, as mentioned on this Yelp page, they do provide services for phones that aren't Apple products, but as they said to me in the store, replacement parts are on site for mostly Apple. So, it might take longer depending on the phone manufacturer and if parts are needed. I walked into this quaint and tiny store due to a jammed power button that was the bane of my existence for over a month. They gave me quotes up front, even pointing out that debugging the issue will ultimately let us know the final price. They said one hour, but they fixed it sooner. Took my 160GB iPod in for a new battery and HD upgrade to SSD. I was told that it was a 1-2 day fix, so I paid upfront, including $20 for shipping (to Hamilton). Three months later, I'm still waiting, although they did say a week ago that it was ready for pickup, and 'there would be no further charge.' Three emails to them later asking about shipping, and I'm still waiting for a response. I can't even speak to the quality of their work, but their customer service is absolutely the worst. Terrible. Don't take this as a bad review... about their quality repairs, but I'm still pissed off at terrible communication that cost me a lot of money - i spent a lot of time not receiving replies to emails and phone calls. Perhaps COVID was the reason, but read on... I sent them 4 X 160 GB Classic Ipods that are worth a small fortune and they had my contact info and said they would hold them for at least a year. I foolishly assumed that they would call and ask if I wanted them back before they disposed of them. Whoever I spoke with acted like they were doing me a favour because they ''had to pay to recycle them'. Those are very expensive little things and I doubt that they were at a loss because they (to their credit) stored 4 little ipods for over a year and couldn't figure out what else to do with them, such as fix them and sell them for hundreds of dollars each. I'm not saying it is a bad company because I missed the deadline. But make sure you get quotes and ask them to call you before they 'recycle at their inconvenience' $1000+ worth of your ipod classics. read more

I have them on speed-dial because i somehow break my phone a lot... it might have something to do with not using a case. They have repaired my phone 2 times but 3rd time is the charm. THey couldn't revive it because i dunked it in water (accidentally). I trust them, they were able to get me a refurbished phone for cheap so that I can call Rogers to get a replacement. Update: after seeing this review the store reached out and made an effort to keep me in the loop on what was happening with the screen. After about another week they finished the repair and threw in a free screen protector, which has hand delivered to our condo by the store manager which was nice. Very disappointed with the service of our iPad Pro. Initially brought in to repair a cracked screen, we got It back a week later with two brand new issues, the touch screen didn't work and the volume buttons stuck...after paying over $500 for the repair. Then I brought it back over 3 weeks ago and they still have it, never giving any update on what they are doing with it. I've had to call three times and each time the person I'm speaking to can provide no detail on why they still have my iPad. This is my main device and I've now been without it for over a month, I'm out $500 and I still don't know when I'll get it back. BAD service, stay away! read more

The service here is the worst, I have paid $280.00 to have the Face ID repaired, the first time it was repaired, not even a week later the same issue happened, went a second time to have it repaired as it was still under the warranty, not even 2 days after, the same issue occurred again, I called, this guy called Phil answered as I recognized him by his voice, he said what can I do for you, I asked him politely to provide his name, as I am calling a business and when you do, who ever answers has to provide their name so you know who you are speaking to, he didn't want to and ask me for my name, I told him that he has to provide me with his name. I informed him of the same issue, he said okay, come drop you iPhone and we will see what can be done, I said I hope so or if not, I will have to go to Apple and have the Genius Bar take a look at it and I will ask for my money back as they did no repair!!! read more

I feel really mixed about this place, which is why I am giving 3 stars. Short story: they fixed my water-logged computer for $600, but it took 3 visits and caused me a lot of grief in the process, taking much longer than I was initially told with little to no communication at times. Long story: My cat spilled a considerable amount of water onto my macbook air in early December. In a panic to get my computer and work back I went to irepair. They quoted me $500 to repair within 4-5 business day and I gave them the go ahead. The repair ended up taking 14 days with incredibly poor communication throughout. I had to constantly pester them for updates (emails and calls), sometimes with absolutely zero response. When I finally received my laptop, everything was in working order except the battery was clearly faulty. I took it back and it was another week to get the issue diagnosed and my laptop back. Again with 24 hours, I noticed issues with the sleep function on my computer, apparently I needed a new keyboard this time, another $100. It took 8 days to get it diagnosed and back. The computer came back functional with the exception of a few squeaky/sticky keys, but honestly dealing with this business is so exhausting and anxiety-inducing it's not even worth it to bring it back to fix these keys. All in all, they brought my water-logged computer back to life and I'm really thankful for that but communication is so horrible. They must lose so many customers this way. I wouldn't have minded waiting if I knew what was going on or if timelines were adhered to, but the anxiety of not knowing if/when you'll get something back shows really poor regard for the customer's well-being. read more

I took my macbook air in to the college location where the guy was all jovial and "let me get this fixed up for you". so far so good. three days later i paid a $30 diagnostic fee. then they told me it was a "logic board problem" (that old chestnut - aint' they all a logic board problem) and would cost $350 plus tax to fix. i hemmed and hawed for about a week then eventually gave the go ahead a week or so later, via both phone and email. Someone got back to me. in a voice message they said it couldn't be fixed. but then another voice message said sorry, they were wrong, they would fix it. they said 5-7 working days. Alarm bells should have already been going off in my head. Two weeks later, spent without my computer (i'm a phd student with a chapter past due) i start making calls. i make calls. and more calls. sometimes someone calls me back and says "it"s just in testing, it will only be another day or so." three (working) days after that, i call back and i'm told by another person "it's being tested, be another day or so." THREE FULL WEEKS after i authorised those "5-7 business days" repairs to go ahead, i finally get my laptop back. it works great. i'm so relieved. for two days. then it shuts down and refuses to restart. dead as a dodo. Back to square one, three weeks of lost work time. Not to mention the cost. i'm done with these guys. they are great for smashed iPhone screens but don't ever take your precious work computer to them. They were bad at communicating, took far longer than they said they would, and eventually delivered absolutely nothing except a fuckload of wasted time and money. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. read more

I have had a screen replaced - perfectly. On another time they tried to revive a very drowned phone. I know they spent a lot of time on it. They couldn't recover the memory and I paid for my stupidity- but not for their efforts - as they didn't charge me. They also told me how to get a less expensive replacement. I am in business with a company that excels in customer service. Even if we bat 99%, we still manage to let some people down, either in reality or in their expectations. When this happens, a very high percentage will then voice their displeasure- as is their right. The fact that a REPAIR shop, whose customers always start out unhappy because their stuff is broken, receives more than 4 stars out of 5 speaks to a very high standard of looking after their customers. read more

They do walk ins so I didn't have to wait to be helped. They fixed my phone within an hour and charged me a reasonable price. I came here twice to fix my iPod touch issues and both really pleased with the service. The people are really friendly and tell you like it is. Their prices are really good too. It's definately the best alternative to getting fixed by apple (ahem...rip off) First time I had water damaged my iPod touch. Everything was working but the screen was really dim and you could barely see. Their website says they charge $15 for diagnotics. They took my iPod to the back and opened it up to see if anything was salvagable. He came back saying there was nothing they can really do short of charging me $150 to get a new computer board (apple wanted to charge me $200). he didn't charge me for the diagnostics. I took the ipod home to contemplate my options, and ended up buying a used one for $100. The 2nd time I came was bc this used one had an issue with the screen. The first time I brought it in, they were going to charge me about 30-40 for the fixing. I left my ipod there, then realized I could use the OLD one i had, and see if they would use the part maybe save some $. I gave them a call, and showed up again with the old ipod. They agreed, and took the old one for parts, cuz some of them were useable. and I save $40 !! i really liked the flexibility in their services. And one of the staff texted me after the fact and recommended and awesome game for me based on my games on my ipod!!! read more

As soon as iPods came to Toronto, everyone it seemed got one. And after about six months, people complained about the fact that the batteries seemed to go dead after a few charges and recharges. Taking it back to Apple at that point became ludicrously expensive and people soon found it was almost cheaper to buy a new one. Very clever, Apple. However, walking about one day with a depleted battery in my old school iPod, I happened across iRepair.ca. Figuring, what have I got to lose, I brought the iPod in for repair. The staff here are friendly, knowledgeable, and are able to run several diagnostics on your iPod or iPhone to figure out the problem. Within minutes they come up with a diagnosis and a solution. Repairs are done while you wait and are definitely reasonable considering in most cases, Apple's answer is "buy a new one". They have a large range of replacement batteries that do not cost an arm and a leg. If ever in need, make sure this place is the first port of call. read more

I was really really pleasantly surprised! I strolled in on a Saturday afternoon with my battered old ipod that had a broken hold switch and refused to work. I was on the verge of giving up on it and just buying whatever new shiny thing Apple decided to launch when I remembered how broke I am. I decided to see if it was easily fixed. There was nobody waiting when I went in and the friendly girl on the desk brought it straight through to the tech. She said it would be about 10 mins and that I could wait if I wanted. I decided to visit the Starbucks down the street and came back a few minutes later. By that time the place had filled up with a few more people with various iPhone and iPod woes-cracked screens, failing batteries, worn out hard drives.... all of whom were given honest answers by the tech about whether or not he could fix the issue and how much it would be. If he wasn't sure what was going on he offered diagnostics-for free. My ipod ended up needing a battery too but they did everything for an incredibly reasonable price for me and it's now working like a dream. The repair is also guaranteed for 6 months. I saved myself from buying yet another ipod and it was all done in around 20 mins. I walked out the door texting my friends to tell them where to go. I would certainly return in the (entirely likely) event of another ipod mishap! read more

I took my busted screen which was shredding my ear with broken glass bits every time I made a call to iRepair based on all these positive reviews. I have to agree -- the service is fast and friendly and there are no suprises. They will walk you through the process and are happy to listen to your woes. They not only replaced my screen but checked for loose parts that might affect my reception (I've been having problems) at no extra cost. They also tried a bit of software troubleshooting that seems to have helped with that issue. Colour me impressed and happy to have a shiny new screen. This place is outrageous- I literally had to log into yelp as soon as I got home to write about it. I came here with an iphone 5 that had been repaired elsewhere (somewhere that shall not be named) where the service was slow, expensive, and sloppy. Long story short: I smashed my screen, had it replaced, and it started to pop out of the frame after about a week and the microphone stopped working to boot. This is after at least 3 visits and two weeks without a phone. Not cool. But rather than risk going back I'm so, so glad I went to irepair. The fine folks at irepair were quick, friendly, and didn't make me feel like an idiot for having such a crushed phone. I ended up having the battery replaced, and they fixed up the speaker and helped me with the screen for free. Because they're NICE. And to top it all off, it took only a fraction of the time they quoted me and I walked away feeling genuinely confident with the work that was done on my phone. The saga is over. I do take a star off for communication, as the first time I went back to pick up the phone when I was told it would be ready, they said they hadn't touched it because they had a question for me.
