Decided to stop by here after making trip to Albany. Staff was super friendly went out of the way to find Easter cookies for me. Also recommended I visit the Vanderbilt mansion. Had various coffees, chocolate, candies. Made me nostalgic for childhood with the 2 piece for 25 cent signs.

My mom and I are big fans of the owners and being that we live in California, a trip to Rhinebeck is not in our plans so we decided to order some candy from their online shop! We ordered Paul Rudd and Jeffrey Dean Morgan's favorite candy boxes and they were both filled to the top with lots of tasty options to try! Paul Rudd's was filled with a Marshmallow Crispy Cake, Signature Bark - dark chocolate with cherries, almonds & sea salt, Clodhoppers - peanut butter, pretzel & graham cracker in milk chocolate and Candy Blocks. Jeffrey Dean Morgan's was filled with a Marshmallow Crispy Cake, Signature Bark - dark chocolate with cherries, almonds & sea salt, Milk Chocolate-Covered Swedish Fish and Strawberry Gummi Teeth. Everything we have tried so far has been really good! I can't wait to try the rest! I can't speak on the service or ambiance since we ordered online as I previously stated, but maybe one day in the distance future we'll make a trip out there! For now, I am happy to order and support from the West Coast!

Samuel's not only a great place it is a valued member of the community supporting the local school drama programs.

Great place for coffee, baked treats and of course candy. The folks there are a pleasure to do business with!

This has been our go to sweet shop for the past few years, we actually got engaged outside of this shop. They handled the chelates for our wedding, to the point I had so many guests text/call and ask where they came from. (We went a week after the wedding to get some thank you gifts and restock our selection as well lol. I can't say enough about all of the staff, we have always had amazing interactions! It is a cute local shop that supports other locals so why not support them!

I LOVED the selection of candy in Samuel's Sweet Shop. It was quite expensive but a novelty store so probably to be expected. I got a package of gummy bears coated with crunchy candy. Great texture but all the gummy bears were the same color/flavor and I was hoping for a variety (couldn't tell due to the crunchy coating) especially for the price. Would definitely visit again to sample other candies!

Located in the cute town of Rhinebeck, this candy store had all my favorite classic candy. The staff was amazing and friendly. Our dog Benton was loving the attention. We brought some gourmet chocolates, caramel popcorn as well as two cups of hot cocoa. All was delish! Would have loved if they served sandwiches. We drove 2 hours from the city and was hoping they had a grilled cheese or something on the menu. We were lucky to snag a table at the diner (two doors down). HEADS UP - Parking is difficult to find during the weekends. The lot next door has reserved spots for CVS, so be sure to park in a spot that does not have a CVS or employee sign. You might get towed if you park in the wrong spot. We will def go again

Stumbled over here while taking a walk in the area, definitely was not disappointed, plus it's kind of similar to a place in Washingtonville called guilty pleasure cheesecake. Love the selection from gummies, retro candy, chocolates/chocolate covered, cookies, rice crispy treats and much more. Something I give this a lot credit for is actually selling truffles below 2$ can't tell you how many places want 2-3plus $ for truffles and here it's 1.65 for them. Really can't stress how rare that is, that alone is very appreciated. The ambiance is great too, since you feel like you're going back in time to old fashion candy stores of times long gone for a simple sweet fix, without thinking Omg my diet, hah. Between the cookies, brownie and truffles it was all good, nothing I ordered was wasted and overall can't say anything I got was better over the other. I would to shoutout how nice and helpful was lady at the counter with order, I keep adding more items and she keep up without issue and answered my questions like about marzipan strawberry item.

This store is super tiny. But there's a lot going on. They also do coffee, tea, and hot chocolate.

    All the treats I got.

All the treats you could ever ask for! Simple childhood sweets to gourmet lavender laced cookies. If you're in the area, you have to go. Walk a couple blocks off the main drag and there is plenty of street parking.

Seriously one of the cutest candy shops ever! Massive selection of candy & chocolate and it's just so fun and colorful! The two people working were so friendly and sweet and didn't mind that it was taking me forever to browse :)

Located in the charming core of historic Rhinebeck, NY, the quaint Samuel's Sweet Shop is sure to evoke the kid inside of you that once had a love for chocolates/sweets. While not a fancy or high end chocolatier, Samuel's makes up for with cute decorations, candy of all kinds that you won't find at the typical retailer, and serves as a decent hybrid bakery/coffee shop. I'm not sure how the acting group of Paul Rudd, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Hilarie Burton landed ownership of the establishment, but if actors are saving cute shops like this, they're doing right by the world. Their only presence in the shop is the sale of Rice Krispies treats sold with their images on them. The selection of candy is extensive, including uncommon chocolates like Whatchamacallit and Zagnut bars. Impressively, they carry Nestle Lion bars which I've only seen when traveling in Europe or Dubai. They carry Pez dispensers and decades old gum brands like Big League Chew and Bubble Tape which I wasn't sure was even being produced anymore. Some reviewers may call this place a tourist trap, but I see it as a gem of a nostalgic candy shop that we don't often see anymore these days. It's definitely a place I'd recommend for a visit when wandering the shops in the historic core of Rhinebeck, NY.

Very cute sweet shoppe in the town of Rhinebeck. The main feature is Paul Rudd and the walking-dead (who plays Neegin, sorry can't think of his name) guy co-own it, apparently they rescued the business when it almost closed. It is TINY teeny tiny... there are some rice crispy treats with said- actors pictures on them if you want a souvenir. I didn't stay long, because it was Sinterklass and a LOT of people were packed in. The usual suspects plus coffee (I think) and hot chocolate. You need patience if more than a few people are ordering. Like I said, it is tiny and only 1 or 2 employees can work it at a time. Worth a look if you are in the town.

We made reservations to have dinner here and the food was phenomenal. I do recommend making a reservation because it appears to be quite popular as an eatery. Ambiance was nice, a little on the louder side as it filled up quickly but not loud enough where you can't hear the person or people you're with. We had just eaten a large lunch at a BBQ place so I wasn't particularly hungry. I got the PEI mussels which were fresh and delicious and came with more mussels than I was anticipating for a starter dish. My husband got the pappardelle which he enjoyed thoroughly. I think we were both so full than we declined dessert. I believe they're altered their business a bit and changed it to cater to more private events so unfortunately if you haven't had the chance to try it you may not be able to for the remained of 2024. Hopefully in 2025 they return to being a restaurant where people can enjoy it once more.

The restaurant has a great vibe and everything, down to the playlist, was on point. The proximity to the CIA shines through in this restaurant. The service is a cut above the other local restaurants that we ate at. Many things are made on the premises. A lot of the baked goods, etc.. They even butcher a lot of their own meat! The coffee, bread and butter were excellent. I really enjoyed my chorizo scramble. My wife liked, but didn't love her omelette. The dish was prepared properly. It was more of a matter of her palate not coinciding with the chef's. The french fries were the platonic ideal of frites and the salad was excellent. I'm pretty sure that we will hit the fifth star when we return to this cool place.

I know I could easily run to Vitamin Shoppe for my fish oil, rosehip oil, sea moss or natural hair and beauty products- but honestly, I'd rather keep supporting Mother Earth . Every so often when I'm catching up with other shops in Kings Mall, I come here to stock up on a few things. While prices are on the high side, the selections make it worth it. When I stopped by recently, I got one of their smoothies, which was super delicious. They also have nice fresh-pressed juice, pastries and hot meal menus. Bigger applause for catering to Vegans and Vegetarians as well. Mother Earth feels like a one-stop shop. The shelves are filled with everything from supplements and herbs to skincare and unique natural products I won't find in any store- not even Vitamin Shoppe. For example, a quart of Fage Best Self Lactose Free yogurt can be purchased at Price Chopper for $7.99. At Mother Earth, it is sold for $14.49. A pint of organic blueberries sold today for almost $10 as opposed to under $6 at Adams, and the ones at Adams are larger and plumper. I expect higher prices at a market specializing in organic foods, but the disparity makes this store out of reach except for a few of the hardest to find products.
