They give you a lot of chicken to stuff but not as much lettuce. We also ordered the pad thai, which was flavorful and good. The green curry was also really good. The curry bowl is large and can probably feed 3 ppl really.. But the rice they give you is tiny so order more if you need. Overall, we were full and happy worth the food. Great food, fast service, what more do you need? My coworker and I came here for some lunch and the place was packed. There were a few tables still open, so the wait wasn't long at all. We were quickly seated and the staff was super attentive. I got the pad thai and tom kha soup. The soup came out within minutes, the pad that followed a little while after. The soup was delicious, flavorful with a little creamy coconut flavor. The pad thai was amazing. Definitely a little more flavorful than your average restaurant pad thai, which I prefer. The pad Thai was more on the soup noodle side, quite soft instead of firm noodles. I myself like a firm pad Thai but if you like it on the softer side you'll quite enjoy this place! Tofu was excellent and seem to have been baked. I've gone to a couple Thai places where they use raw tofu and It never tastes as good as baked tofu. I came here for dinner with a friend and my husband. It's a cute place with neat cultural decorations like statues of Buddhas and intricate artwork. Server already came out with water and she was extremely sweet. Ordered the yellow curry and asked for medium with the spice level. You will be asked the spice level from mild to extra spicy. The medium spice is not too bad. There is a kick but nothing that would make you grab your water. The yellow curry was delicious. I wish there were more peppers in there. It only came with two slices of bell peppers - red and yellow. The potatoes are chunky - a little too chunky for my taste. This place does have good Thai food. Wow. This is a case of don't judge a book by it's cover. Located on of the corners in the Shops at Legacy next to Jamba Juice, this restaurant has a very unassuming exterior. In the last 4 years I've given it very little attention as I walked by it to get to other places. But one day, my husband and I were craving Thai food and we decided to give it a try. That was probably one of the best decisions we've made! The restaurant was half filled when we arrived but our service was quick and attentive. The server made a great recommendation for an appetizer and gave us her suggestion for which off the menu sauce might taste better with it (and it did!). The portion sizes were generous and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Samui may have just made it to the top of my favorite Thai restaurants in the area! read more

I have eaten here several times but never gave a review, so this is long overdue. If you are looking for upscale Thai this is the perfect place to take a date or a business client that you want you want to impress with ambience and good food. This is Thai at its finest. The potsticker dumplings are not too thick and doughy and the fried crab and cream cheese rolls have a lovely full crab flavor. The coconut noodle shrimp soup is my absolute favorite now and is perfect for lunch. The flavors are complex...delicate mellow broth with subtle spices and then take a bite of shrimp and POW! There's the kick that Thai food is famous for! The service is outstanding and the food is always consistently good. I was in town for a training class and on the last day, I came to Samui for lunch. The interior is spacious, bright and well decorated with a Thai theme. The wait staff was polite, attentive, and very friendly. I had iced tea (turned out it was passion fruit iced tea, and it was excellent). The food was delicious! We love Thai food and have our traditional dishes we usually get, but this time I decided to try something a little different. I had the Thai Bah-Mee. My wife had Pad Woon Sen. We also had the Chicken Lettuce cups. The food was okay, but the service was slow. The food was not very spicy or even hot. The lettuce wraps lettuce was a small cut from the lettuce head and therefore a lot of meat was remaining when the lettuce was gone. The price was high for the quality and quantity of food, too. I can taste all the spices and flavors of fresh coconut. Chicken was tender and not chewy. Portion size is better than other lunch special resturants. Most Thai places that I've try in texas I feel is very washed down. They have a very huge selection to choose from. And for lunch they have a lot of specials. My husband and I had a craving for Thai food and really like the Shops at Legacy area, so we decided to check it out. I give this restaurant 1 star: Ambiance: Can't really comment on this. We chose to eat outside on the patio. We were the only ones out there. Food/Service: 1/5. The food lacked flavor. We have been to tons of Thai restaurants and this by far is one of the worst ones. We are vegetarian, so we ordered the veggie tempura. First off, this lacked flavor. All I tasted was bread crumbs. The worst part about it is a hair fell out of my tempura. The waiter didn't even apologize. I ordered my entree of Singapore noodles with tofu. After taking 3 bites, I found a piece of pork in my noodles. I notified the waiter again. No apologies. He took my entree inside. The manager comes out and claims it was piece of tofu and says he will only take the appetizer off of the bill. How cheap of a restaurant is that? First a hair and then a piece of meat in my food. The manager really cares about making $15 for an an entree. I guess this place is really struggling. If you want good Thai and good service, stay away from this place. I highly recommend Thai Green Village. The servers are really nice and the food tastes great. read more

I should start by saying I know zero about Thai food and this was the first Thai place I ever tried. My boss, after deciding to move us out to Plano at the Shops of Legacy, was met with much disagreement, and, well, hate, from his downtown-Dallas livin' employees. Especially me and one other girl - we wanted gas masks for the high altitude and maps of Oklahoma, etc. So - boss takes us out to the Shops to convince us that we shouldn't be hating, and takes us to Samui for lunch. I was scared - I am a vegetarian and on top of that likely one of the top five pickiest eaters on EARTH. I LOVED it though! They have several tofu dishes, and this appetizer called Monsoon Rolls that is divine. We did move to the Shops, and I even transferred my apartment lease to the Post building out there and lived there three years before recently leaving. I probably ate at Samui on average around once a month. I've been on a few dates here, and it's a great place for that, especially if you can get one of their neato large round booths. They serve some delicious sorbet, and even do the nice little scoop of sorbet between courses thing. Their desserts are really, really good in general, now that I think about it. Mostly though, Samui was the closest thing I had at the Shops to a local bar. I know that sounds weird, but there are really no bars in Plano, and Fox Sports and Martini Park are generally full of irritating people and too much noise. At Samui, the bar is small and tucked in the back. There's usually a couple of business travelers or something in there max. Very quiet, peaceful place to go in, order some takeout, have a couple of glasses of wine and walk home happy. read more
