    SAPA adopted pitbull puppy!!

I recently adopted a pitbull puppy through SAPA, while I love what they stand for and have personally seen the positive impact they have had on animals lives... the process for adoption can be a tricky one, especially for first time pet owners. If you do decide to adopt with them just know emailing is better than calling, if your animal is not neutered/spayed SAPA legally must have the procedure done before you adopt, and finalizing and the paperwork to receive the depot $ back won't be overnight. Other than that, I have a perfectly healthy and happy puppy. Thank you you guys.

I adopted two animals through Pet's Alive, one dog (7 months at the time of adoption) and another dog (4 months at the time of adoption). I paid $175 for the dog that was 7 months old and $200 for the dog that was 4 months old. Pet's alive have their prices publicly displayed, I've posted the photo below so as you can see I over paid for the dog of 7 months. When I returned to the location to ask why I was overcharged, it didn't really seem like anyone had an answer until a woman said "he was cute so we marked his price up" and that's the ONLY explanation that I was given. I wasn't able to get a better answer nor was I given the option to get the money back that they overcharged me. They also don't answer their phones or emails.

Highly recommend for ALL to read! I am posting this follow…read moreup review of a procedure that was done to my dog around 7 months ago. Initially I needed a simple tooth extracted for a fracture, long story short I was tricked into getting a cleaning done as well that I never wanted or asked for but still had to pay since the procedure was done. The wording for the cleaning was not listed in plain terms and was a descriptive wording that I thought was for the tooth extraction. Looking not only past that they didn't even get my dogs full tooth out. After infection due to a terribly done surgery we took our dog to a different veterinary hospital, that showed us that more than half the tooth was left in his mouth, and specifically stated "they didn't even do an extraction, his whole root is still in there" leading to a very uncomfortable time for my dog for the past 6 months, displaying signs of pain when eating, licking etc. Due to the lack of good procedure the tooth next to his supposedly extracted one had to be removed as well due to the damage of them operating on the broken tooth from the first surgery. This vet clinic already failed my dog once so I was not going to have them put him in more pain along with the possibility of paying for more add ons I never asked for or just plain giving them more money for not doing their job. Photos for evidence, x ray shows the entire root of my dogs tooth left behind along with pieces of his normally exposed tooth. Hopefully this vet clinic will take responsibility and reach out to us regarding this issues and malpractice. I would highly encourage folks to review every little detail and word on their invoice before getting tricked into paying for stuff you didn't ask for and pray that when you take your pets to this hospital that you are truly getting what you paid for. In our case, we did NOT at all get what we paid for and had to pay twice just to have our dog taken care of properly which should have happened in the first place.
