Momma and Sriracha who was Neutered at SNIPSA.

I recently went to the Animal Defense League (ADL) with some Feral kitties and boy what a difference! I had one bad thing happen after another at ADL and their staff took Zero responsibility! I am so grateful that Roxanne at SNIPSA helped me get 4 feral kittens fixed in August of 2023 and ready for adoption to their forever homes. SNIPSA staff really cares about their customers and the animals they serve.

mouth infection gotten from them that's a life long disease

first off they borderline gave declawed my cat without our consent and she was supposed to just get a spay and routine vaccination now we're up in 1000+ vet fees trying to cure her from everything they did she was a prefect healthy cat before this and now she's sad depressed can't eat or drink it's been almost 5 days since the spay and she's just been worsening everyday she got mucus that smells pouring out her mouth and the animal hospital we went to let us know they cut her tongue horribly too when they were putting her under anesthesia it looks like and gave her a life long disease from said cut most likely from them being hygienic if you really care about your pet never bring them here their supposed to be helping animals and families and they just ruined a young cats life i don't know how these money hungry people sleep at night when we tried calling them to get answers we got blocked on social media and our phone number they don't really want to help you they just want to get their donations for their money scheme

My dog was neutered at this awesome facility at the end of October and we had an amazing experience. The facility is quaint and clean, the staff is super friendly, and this was way more affordable than going through our vet. Thank you SNIPSA for taking care of our Hudson!

SNiPSA is the best! We got our lovely Levi here a few months ago and he is the most precious jewel that we are so fortunate to have found. We met him through their fostering program which allows the animals to socialize and interact with people and other animals alike. You can tell that the people running this organization truly care for animals and their well being. They find animals from kill shelters and they bring them to SNIPSA and have saved their lives. I don't know where my husband and I would be without our Levi. If you are looking to adopt a pet, SNiPSA is the place to go.

This is the most fantastic organization. SNIPSA rescues abandoned animals and strays from being euthanized at animal control. Since they do not have a facility all their animals are being fostered with families in San Antonio. They vet the animals, vaccinate them, have them fixed and micro-chipped before they adopt them out. They work hand in hand with other local rescue groups and are pushing to have San Antonio "No-Kill" by 2012! Shannon Espy is the vet that treated my "Henry"....She was so moving that I ended up fostering a pup and after he is fixed tomorrow he will go to his forever home. I recommend SNIPSA to anyone looking to adopt a dog or cat. You can view their rescues on-line and fill out an application. After you fill out the application and a quick home visit, you can adopt. Dogs are $150-$200 and cats are $85...the rates are a steal considering how much it costs to vet your pet with shots and vaccinations. They are also looking for foster families and volunteers so check out their site for the next event.

He would have spent every night inside and most days going in and out as he pleased. I doubt a large energetic dog could be truly happy in their "ideal" environment.

I adopted a kitten from them…read moreunder the impression that he was healthy and properly treated--only to find out after I had already spent time bonding with him and paid the adoption fee that he had been treated for ringworm. First of all, he was NOT treated properly. The kitten was still highly contagious and has now infected my entire house. I am covered in ringworm, it spread to my scalp, which can cause permanent hair loss, and I am now forced into a daily routine of disinfecting everything for 2 months--washing my sheets every day, using special medication, washing my hair with medicated shampoo, bleaching my floors, and even having to replace my bed. This is not a minor inconvenience--this is a serious fungal infection that could have been completely avoided if the Humane Society had done their job properly and been transparent from the start. Instead, I was only told about the supposed "treatment" after I had already committed to the adoption, which means I was already exposed. And clearly, this kitten was still very much contagious. What's worse? When I called them about it, not only was I offered NOTHING in terms of reimbursement, but they actually had the audacity to act like they were doing me a favor by waiving the return fee since I was within the 30-day window. A return fee?? For a sick cat they failed to treat properly?? That's outrageous. To make matters worse, one of their staff members had the nerve to tell me that ringworm "goes away on its own" if you have a strong immune system. Excuse me? That is a blatant lie. I have an incredibly strong immune system and I have NEVER had ringworm in my life--until now, thanks to this complete negligence. I have had over six cats in my lifetime and never once dealt with this. This infection came directly from the kitten I adopted from them. I trusted the Humane Society to provide honest, responsible care for their animals before placing them in homes, but they failed in every possible way. This is unacceptable, unhygienic, and downright unethical. I will NEVER adopt from them again, and I urge anyone considering adopting from this place to think twice unless you want to end up in the same nightmare I'm dealing with. They should be held accountable for this level of carelessness.

Even though they gave me a map, it would be so easy to just have a stake in the ground that identified the buildings like building B. If it wasn't for the friendly staff and volunteers I would have been even more lost. How could you not support this place and its commitment to animals? It's obvious they could use some financial support and renovation but the point is they are caring and loving our beautiful creatures big and small. The main parking lot in front has a drop off area for donations. You have enter the building and sign in before seeing the animals for adoption. There's a little gift shop in front and all the staff are super friendly. Most of the viewing areas are outside and not easily handicapped accessible. They have a newer facility across from the zoo, but this one you can tell is where the love started. Come visit and support please.

The costs are significantly lower than going to a private vet. Wednesday hadn't had her shots so they were included in the costs. The only thing extra I paid was for a nail trim which she desperately needed. I think I paid about $130 total. The website has clear instructions of what's required. We signed in just after 0730. The staff was pleasant and kind, we were asked to return between 1500 and 1600 to pick up our fur babies. The process was smooth & efficient. They gave clear discharge instructions and provided the needed meds. We are post op day 4 and she's healing well so far. She was high strung pre surgery and very chill now. I'm glad we went this route with her. This place was amazing.
