This company was sent to us by our Home warranty. I understand that they can't do anything unless the home warranty approves the claim which they didn't. So I felt like I wasted the call fee of $75, my efforts & my time of rest. So the tech guy suggested they could apply the 75 to items they will use. But boy the estimate was ridiculous! Eric Kiobassa arrived at the wrong location despite very clear instructions where to go. So he called me. Over the phone I told him he was at the wrong location and directed him to the correct one, he proceeds to tell me there's no leak and the puddle is just there because it rained! . So I tell him to look closer, he does and then tells me it will cost almost $1000.00 to fix this leak that he didn't even think was there. I told him I will have to pass even though I still have to pay them $135 just for showing up and giving me this outrageous estimate. Frustrating experience! After that I called a different plumber who came out to the correct location and was very prompt, polite and reasonably priced. Hector Moreno Through San Antonio Plumbing Quoted Extortion Amount To Replace Two Bathroom Faucets. Didn't Use Them. Bad Pricing.

I requested service through Home Warranty of America, after a different plumber had already assessed the job and provided me a quote. When I called to schedule, I was assured the repairs would be covered and completed the same day. Hector, the technician, confirmed this in person and diagnosed the same issue as the first plumber. I even received an email from the warranty company approving replacement of the PRV, hose bib, and up to 4 hours of labor. Great! But just an hour later, Hector called to say the coverage was only partial--and I owed an additional $270. I asked for an invoice with a breakdown. What I received listed 7 hours of labor (2 hours for valves, 5 for the PRV). Hector had only been on-site for around an hour--it simply couldn't have taken 2 hours to replace the valves. I also questioned paying more before he replaces the PRV, especially since it's unlikely even six hours of labor is needed. Hector ignored my concerns and told me to call the office the next day. But the office didn't answer while he was there trying to collect payment. This is unacceptable--my PRV is still uninstalled despite the promise of same-day service. Additionally, Hector left the water on, even though I specifically asked him to shut it off due to high pressure. Now he's ignoring my texts altogether. I will never recommend this company, and I plan to file a complaint with both the home warranty company and relevant consumer authorities. read more

I think I had a similar experience as other customers. The plumbers are skilled, knowledgeable, and hustlers but there is a critical piece missing from this companies culture. That is QUALITY CONTROL. Our home had pressure issues hot water only in one room. San Antonio Plumbing came out and changed the PRV - never checking the actual room, took payment, and left. It could be said that it was my fault for not checking that they actually fixed it, but it was not fixed. Came back again. Spent the necessary time to troubleshoot and blew out the lines and furthermore I authorized them to change out the hot water heater. They left and since I was busy with work I was unable to check. Once again they did not check their work and left my water softener in by-pass and swapped the cold and hot water in the shower They had to come out again. After four visits and paying them significant amount of money to accomplish I felt that they had ZERO value for my time. They got paid their money, they do not care. This should had been fixed and corrected in two visits. They had ZERO quality control as they ended up leaving three times in error. Not impressed and it is sad because the actual plumbers work hard, great personalities, and I am very respecting of the plumbing and trades professions. read more

I was trying to save some money by selecting a plumber who didn't have a service call fee (single mom pinching pennies). I was unaware that they didn't charge depending on the issue. They have standard fees no matter how big or small the issue. I was desperate to get the leak fixed, thinking it was something detrimental, so I agreed to pay the fee. Turned out it was a small leak. One of the PVC pipe coupling had come apart.  I ended up paying $700 for PVC cement to be placed in a coupling. I regret not going with another plumber. At least they would've inspected and charged me accordingly for the issue. I found out the hard way that I would've paid half the price, maybe less if I had gone w the plumber who had the service call fee. The only positive part of this experience was that the plumber was very personable. He was nice enough to look at another issue I was having. 2 gold stars for Mr. Kiolbassa. read more

they replaced my father's water heater. Had to call them back because they switched the hot and cold water. Still, my father had no hot water. They came back out and said the water heater tested positive and suggested over $1300 in repairs to get hot water. I got anot plumber out to get another estimate. I called my home warranty company for a shower leak. The shower would leak even when you turned it off. It was the cartilage. They assigned San Antonio Plumbing to do the work. I got a call the next day and they asked if they could send someone right over. Eli arrived within 30 minutes and looked at the shower and correctly diagnosis it and left to get the part. Within less then 30 minutes, he returned and fix the issue. On his way out he noticed that my outside faucet was leaking and just tightened it and it stopped. Great job Eli. From my first call they were kind, helpful and the lady taking my call got me worked into the schedule two days early. Joseph worked with my warranty company and got the perfect replacement for it (it was a 65 gallon wh that isn't made anymore) and minimized my out of pocket costs and convinced them to purchase locally. Armando Olivares the technician was prompt, courteous and changed out everything, adjusted the new expansion tank and explained everything. He cleaned up everything and was done in record time. He did this in a garage on a record day of heat of 103 degrees! Cannot recommend this company too highly! read more

I needed my water heater replaced. It's a 75 gallon, Natural gas unit. It would have cost me $1200 to purchase from HD or Lowe's, but they would have had to order it, and I needed it sooner than later. They guys came out and quoted me $4100!!!!! To install a $1200 water heater. In a closet, in my garage. I had it drained and disconnected before the got there as it was getting late. I even removed the water softener, let them borrow tools. Don't get me wrong, they were really friendly and did a clean install. Seriously, $4100!!! They replaced hoses, added an expansion tank, and leak detector (cheap battery powered). 1200 heater 25 tank $75 misc hoses and fitting. Shoot, let's just say $1700 for all materials and tax That's $2400 labor for two hours of work. I never got an itemized receipt. They were supposed to come back to address another issue, never did. I would like to give this company a hand and stamp of approval! I made servals calls to plumbing companies and these guys were able to give the best response ok a professional and timely manner. First off they showed up on time, yes I said they showed up ON time! Second they were very respectable and used booties to wear over their boots to keep my new carpet clean. They surveyed the problem and made the repairs needed to be done. All while the working process they kept their work space clean and made sure to not make a mess. These guys are prompt and professional. We just bought a house and of course there will be unpleasant surprises. Replacing the 40 year old dishwasher was not going to happen until Brett and Joseph got involved. Old, inefficient fittings and patch jobs got replaced with new, clean piping and angle stop. A small leak that had been there was gone and the new dishwasher runs and drains perfectly. The price was totally fair. And this was on a Saturday. They charged me $390 to replace kits in 2 toilets. (Each kit costs $14) I had a huge water bill and needed them to come fix 2 running toilets and they wouldn't give me a quote over the phone. Last month we were standing in the middle of the yard, realizing we weren't going to be able to fix our own problem and lamenting over the fact that plumbing companies are notoriously hard to trust. We were calling around and we were told either that we'd have to wait quite some time or were quoted over $1000 for a job they hadn't even seen. Then, someone drove past in a SA Plumbing Co. van and we called the number... Ben turned around and came back. He was professional and polite and assessed the problem and gave us a very fair quote really quickly. He got to work and finished up within an hour. So when an indoor problem arose, we knew who to call. They sent Ben again (yay!!) again, he assessed the problem quickly and fixed it in just a few minutes. We once again received prompt, courteous, fair, professional care and it kinda cracks me up but I appreciate it that Ben goes overboard in keeping things tidy and clean. My rating is ZERO ... no stars! This company was dispatched through my home warranty service. They sent Sergio Zuniga to assess toilet issue of intermittent water running. Figured I needed new flapper. He installed a new toilet fill valve. Next thing I know he's "tightening" bolts under toilet tank. I walked out of the room for a min & returned to a flooded bathroom. He said my toilet was leaking & was installed incorrectly! Toilet only four years old & never leaked before he messed with it. Next he called warranty service & they said would not cover expense to reinstall toilet. Sergio then told me he could repair it for $350! Outrageous ... can buy a whole new toilet for that much! Very disappointed with "service" rendered. Guess he thought since I was a senior & a woman that I'm stupid. NOT. Paid another plumber to assess damage & turned out to be a $5 Tank-to-bowl gasket.
