The red wine selection is surprisingly good, and there's a knowledgeable gentleman, Larry, who is always helpful with recommendations and questions. I always check the first couple aisles for practical kitchen gadgets and usually leave with a few greeting cards for the year ahead. Fair prices, friendly staff, and a well-run store. Hard to ask for much more than that.

We actually get excited to go because there are always fun surprise finds and incredible deals. What keeps us coming back, though, is that they consistently have a great selection of produce and meat staples. It's especially fantastic for anyone following a special diet. The staff truly makes this place special. Everyone is so happy and welcoming, and you can tell they genuinely care about their customers and take pride in their store. I've been relying on the wine selection for past 5 years. Ask for Larry. Larry has basically become my personal sommelier -- he feels like a friend to every customer who walks in. And the best part? We always laugh when we get to the register because it's shocking how much we bought for so little money. Such a fun shopping experience every time.

Clothes = $4 yes, ALL adult clothes are $4 (some special items may be higher, like the $30 wedding dress...) Plants = yes, this thrift also sources AMAZING plants to sell and they pair it with follow up care / advice, so if you get it home and forget how to care for it, send a message and they'll happily help. Trinkets, treasures, small household items, shoes in REALLY great condition? Yep, they've got all that! Fun events? That too! Plant Bingo and propagation swaps to name a few. Hannah and Hanna are amazing.

The team is so delightful, uplifting and the place is a total vibe. The owners engaged with each person on some level or another and were super friendly (not the fake kind). They knew so much about plants, and as a plant girlie myself, I was diggin' it. They are all about community and care about what they put out to sell. Honest Thrift has options for everyone. Trinkets, clothes, shoes, plants, music, art etc. The pricing is affordable and fair, and their plant selection is beautiful and properly priced for a boutique style premium selection of plants of very well maintained and cared for. Heck, what you save on buying clothes for $4, splurge on your plant. If I didn't have nearly 100 plants in my own house and own my own plant business, I'd get mine from here. Do know, I'll buy cutesy things for my home and gifts for others.

We chatted about the cards - mine are from the Field Of Dreamz Festival at PetCo park 6/13/26. His store was full of everything from Pokemon to Magic. He mentioned that he went to School with Kyle STOOPID! How rad is that! Come and support a local Point Loma, Ocean Beach community business owner! The value was priceless since he was so friendly and gifted me the card protectors. There was a big variety of prices, things that were collectible and tings for the beginning collector. The owner will go on a long diatribe about how he "used" to reseal and scam people. If you've been there, I'm sure he's pulled out his little binder and wasted your time. Super shady. Every collector booster I've purchased there has been in poor shape and looked odd at the seams. I haven't had a single hit over 5 dollars. It could just be my bad luck, but it could also be something fishy going on. I'm never going there again. Bad vibes all around in this shop. The only redeeming quality is they have a decent magic precon selection, but he overcharges.

PRO-TIP: BRING CASH…read more They have ATM's on site, but of course there's a fee. You need cash to even purchase tickets in, so keep that in mind. There's different prices for different days. On a Sunday afternoon, it was $3 per person. For frequent shoppers and vendors, I think they have stamp cards, which is neat. We had to speed run this trip because we had plans later on in the day, but we saw there was a swap meet across the street from the Brazilian restaurant that we were getting brunch at and nothing prepared us for how MASSIVE it is. I grew up going to swap meets, with one down the street for me, but this is hands down the BIGGEST one that I've been to. So big that my friends and I got split up immediately and it was somewhat difficult to find each other and leave towards the end since there's just rows and rows and aisles and aisles each and which way you turn with some dead ends here and there. There's food vendors and of course, lots of trinket, electronics, thrifted, home goods, and so much more. There's plants, fresh fruit, nuts, a neat little accordion (not sure what it's called but it's antique looking and little mechanical bits and pieces to it) that a performer had, jewelry, toys, video games, unique artwork, school supplies, clothes, etc. Before entering, we saw a vendor selling 6 pieces of clothing for $10. Friend got a bunch of accessories and jewelry for under $20. I got a cool 2 headed T-rex for $2. Some cool things were vintage Beanie Babies and the Panda Express restaurant signs? I would love to come back here and thoroughly parse through everything. Get there early in the morning and then spend hours here.

I used to ask to go so I could get fresh donuts and strawberry lemonade. It's so good! The nominal entrance fee is totally worth it. I'm always on the hunt for vinyl which people sell in droves and for screaming good deals. I'm not a gamer but there are a few booths that sell everything from consoles to controllers to classic cartridge games. There's also the flower stands and the fruit and veggie booths, gorgeous vintage and handmade jewelry, and mounds of T-shirts and hoodies...you will find something to spend your money on and you won't regret it for even a second.
