PRO-TIP: BRING CASH. They have ATM's on site, but of course there's a fee. You need cash to even purchase tickets in, so keep that in mind. There's different prices for different days. On a Sunday afternoon, it was $3 per person. For frequent shoppers and vendors, I think they have stamp cards, which is neat. We had to speed run this trip because we had plans later on in the day, but we saw there was a swap meet across the street from the Brazilian restaurant that we were getting brunch at and nothing prepared us for how MASSIVE it is. I grew up going to swap meets, with one down the street for me, but this is hands down the BIGGEST one that I've been to. So big that my friends and I got split up immediately and it was somewhat difficult to find each other and leave towards the end since there's just rows and rows and aisles and aisles each and which way you turn with some dead ends here and there. There's food vendors and of course, lots of trinket, electronics, thrifted, home goods, and so much more. There's plants, fresh fruit, nuts, a neat little accordion (not sure what it's called but it's antique looking and little mechanical bits and pieces to it) that a performer had, jewelry, toys, video games, unique artwork, school supplies, clothes, etc. Before entering, we saw a vendor selling 6 pieces of clothing for $10. Friend got a bunch of accessories and jewelry for under $20. I got a cool 2 headed T-rex for $2. Some cool things were vintage Beanie Babies and the Panda Express restaurant signs? I would love to come back here and thoroughly parse through everything. Get there early in the morning and then spend hours here. read more

I enjoy going to swap meet so I was excited to come check out this one! Admission is super cheap and there's even discounts for seniors. The area was big with lots of vendors and even food vendors too! It was just nice to walk around and see the great deals people had to offer! There's plenty of parking but I do recommend coming early just in case it fills up for those busy weekends. read more

I love the swap meet! It's one of my favourite California pastimes. Kobey's has been around my whole life and we've been attendees since I was a toddler. I used to ask to go so I could get fresh donuts and strawberry lemonade. It's so good! The nominal entrance fee is totally worth it. I'm always on the hunt for vinyl which people sell in droves and for screaming good deals. I'm not a gamer but there are a few booths that sell everything from consoles to controllers to classic cartridge games. There's also the flower stands and the fruit and veggie booths, gorgeous vintage and handmade jewelry, and mounds of T-shirts and hoodies...you will find something to spend your money on and you won't regret it for even a second. read more

Spent the morning browsing the isles at Kobey's Swap Meet. $3 admission on the weekend is very reasonable. Scored some nice deals on board shirts, jean shorts and books. Wish there were more book sellers though. There's only the one. Had some very tasty adobada and birria tacos at the little food court and found a spot in the shade for a little rest and refreshment. This was my only my second time ever at Kobey's Swap meet. In fact, it was only my second time at any "swap meet" ever. Now, I have been to my fair share of flee markets, and sales of various types, but this is the only one I have been to called a "swap meet". Though it takes place every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in my own neighborhood, I simply never seem to have a reason to go. However, last Saturday, my husband and I needed to find some bargain supplies to make crafts for a family event. Specifically, we needed several vinyl records and wanted to get a good deal. Years ago, we were also using vinyl records for crafts and decorations. We went to the swap meet, paid $2 per person to enter, and bought 100 records for $1 each. Well, prices now have gone up. However, the entrance feel has only gone up to $3 per person. Somehow, it does seem odd to me to have to pay to shop, but they do have staff that works the event, as well as free parking. As soon as I walked in, I saw a booth with tons of sunglasses. It took me only a matter of minutes to find a pair of much needed driving glasses. We then wandered around and saw a variety of new and used merchandise. Then we came across the vinyl records we were searching for. After going to several booths, we ended up bargaining with a seller. We were able to get the 50 we needed for $75. It wasn't as good as out price several years ago, but we left happy. It was a hot day, so we returned home after that. However, I was enjoying just strolling about and seeing the strange and unusual items for sale. They also had lots of food trucks in back. Perhaps on a cooler day, we may return, browse around, and grab a bite. read more

I came here to sell with my friends, and we had a great time. It was well-organized, and I enjoyed experiencing it from the perspective of a first-time seller. We picked up plenty of helpful tips from booths that seemed to have been doing this for a while. It's a massive swap meet! We explored what the other vendors had to offer and found an impressive variety of items to purchase. Everyone was friendly, from the business staff to the fellow sellers we met. I even scored some quality golf balls at a fantastic price! My only suggestion would be to offer bathrooms other than port-o-potties. Luckily, there are nearby fast food restaurants within walking distance where you can buy food and use their restroom facilities. That's the main reason I'm giving 3 stars. As for parking, the process is very convenient. Sellers can drive their cars directly to their reserved spots to unload items. Got scammed out of hundred of dollars by this lady that claims to sell silver from Arizona Navajo tribes. She on Friday is located at the front on the entrance and in the very back left Saturday and Sunday. I want to know if anyone has had the same experience. When I confronted her she claimed not to know. Then she needed time to give a refund to figure out how much she sold me. Just to be a lie and said her daughter investigated me and said no refunds if you wear the jewelry. That's not the point, she sold me fake jewelry. Has anyone had experience with her claiming she sells silver? Kobe staff was somewhat helpful. But no one could really make a choice. The security guard told me he makes decisions on behalf of Kobeys and told me to sue them in small claims court. read more

I'd recommend come by here, parking was $10, but i'd recommend coming early before people start walking in. I went Sat, March 22, 2025 at 7:30am. Parking was easy. Entrance is $3 ($2 for seniors). No coupons anymore for $1 off entrance. Many vendors selling different things - old and new. Two vendors for fresh fruits. 1) Woman vendor in small tent sold me a box of bad mangoes for $6. See photos. She should be banned from selling bad fruits - I am sure she knows it too. Deceptive vendor. This is one reason I gave 3 stars. 2) Fruit vendor in a larger tent (mom, son and other help). Pineapple for $3, 2 watermelon for $5, 2 bags of clementine for $5. Except for the pineapple (not too good), the other fruits were good. Need beautiful hair clips? I recommend the nice guy vendor WITHOUT A TENT - brand new hair clips (Buy $5 get 1 free). I'd stay away from the woman vendor with a big tent - the owner is nasty and unprofessional (this is 2nd reason I gave 3 stars). There were 2 Mexican Food trucks. It's amazing how cheap it is to get in. We went on Friday and it was pretty much nothing...it's like our basement. So much random stuff and it was amazing to see some people buying things from there. We were rather disappointed but decided to go back on Saturday. WOW WOW WOW!! Just $3 to get in and omg, we found tons of clean washed used clothes for my teenage boys, and they are so much cheaper! We do this (treasure hunt!) up in Seattle and it's hard to find anything he likes and they are rather expensive. At this Kobey's swap meet, we probably spent $120 and we bought 6, 7 things (tops and bottoms) and they were all $15-$20 each. All nice brand stuff. Also we found some new Supreme stuff he bought, too. All the venders are very polite and nice. We went back for more on Sunday but, nah...we didn't find anything. Saturday might be the day to go early and spend hours and dig through all the things! We'll definitely go back when we are there next time!! Hopefully soon. read more

Now that I think about it, I have no idea if the ticket price has ever gone up, and for that I applaud you, Kobey My favorite item at Kobey's has to be the plants. What used to be maybe 1/2 newer item vendors with the back half being the "garage sale" it's is now seems primarily garage sales with a few new item vendors mixed in. Came to Kobey's Swap meet for the first time today. I arrived a little after 7am. There's a Yelp check in deal to have $1.00 off admission, so my entrance fee was $2.00. There are a variety of vendors here. It's a mixture of items ranging from used clothing, dish wares, furniture, plants, fruit, etc. there was even a vendor that changed watch batteries, which I thought was neat. Pros: -dogs are allowed -free parking -there are different items that you can rent as a shopper and vendor near the entrance -there are a few food vendors towards the back Cons: -vendors were arguing with one another when I arrived which I thought was a bit odd -when I came on July 1st, there were still a good handful of vendors who were still unloading their items and not set up yet Overall, I'm glad I got to check this spot out and am glad I went before it got too hot. read more

Kobey's has been in San Diego for as long as I can remember. I remember coming here as a kid and now I'm almost 30 and still continue love coming here. There are so many vendors selling everything you can imagine...fruit, plants, toys, weed accessories, sports jerseys, sunglasses, sneakers, vintage clothing, household goods, and more! There is something here for everyone. The prices to enter have always been reasonable. $3 to enter on the weekends and $1 on Fridays. I recommend bringing cash but most vendors now use Venmo or Zelle. Parking is abundant and it's right in the heart of San Diego. read more

I've been here a few times and every time I leave annoyed. They really have the nerve to charge $3 to get in and for what? To look at a bunch of dusty clothes that look like they've been sitting in somebody's garage since 2010. It's literally just an overpriced yard sale at this point. And the vendors act like they're running luxury boutiques. One dude straight up pulled out his phone to Google an item in front of me and then tried to convince me it was "rare." If you want eBay prices, go list it on eBay. Nobody is walking around a swap meet carrying $200+ cash for crusty sweaters and busted toys. Be serious. Also, there's a vendor everyone should avoid. He's a bigger guy with a hat and glasses who has all his stuff thrown directly on the ground. He was yelling at people over looking at items. He tried to sell a kids toy car and a random doll for $75 and refused to separate them. When someone said he should just sell it online, he got loud and defensive like he was about to square up over a toy. He even told a customer to "fix" how they put something down. Sir, this is a swap meet, not a museum. The whole energy here is weird. Overpriced junk, rude people, and zero reason to come back. The $3 entry is already too much. It's been many months since my trip to Kobey's Swap Meet but I guess the time has come for me to finally leave a review. It was early on a Sunday morning when we pulled up and entered this wonderful place full of random crap, vintage clothes, broken DVDs, and a bunch of other stuff you typically find at swap meets across the country. As a collector of all things retro from toys and video games to comics and sports cards, I was hopeful I would at least stumble across a few items I could take back to Las Vegas with me. The layout here is pretty easy to maneuver around and features a huge amount of vendors to choose from. My wife and I probably spent a good two hours here wandering around before we headed out and even though most of the video games I saw were insanely overpriced, a lot of booths had zero design structure, and some of the vendors didn't know how to even acknowledge us as customers, I still had a great time checking stuff out and picking up some Goosebumps books and a signed Von Miller rookie card to add to my Buffalo Bills card collection. Overall, Kobey's Swap Meet is just like every other swap meet.....you have no idea what you are going to see, buy, or come across and that's exactly why we all keep coming back. I will definitely find myself coming back here on future trips to San Diego and I very much look forward to those. read more

Highly recommend that you bring cash so you don't need to rely on their ATMs. It cost anywhere between $1-2 bucks to get in and May is free for military. The swap meet was pretty big, but there were a lot of the same stuff. A lot of vintage style decor and fashion and I saw some good useful kitchen appliances. Went to Kobe's this past Sunday as a seller for the first time. While trying to get set up, we were swarmed by other vendors who insisted on trying to go through our stuff as we were pulling it out of the truck and trying to get set up. We ended up having an $800 camera lens and a $200 skateboard stolen during that invasion. Complaints to Kobe's staff fell on deaf ears, as they told us there was nothing that could be done by them. SDPD refused to send an officer to take a report. In talking with some of the other more polite vendors, we learned that this was not a one off experience, as many informed us that they too have had things go missing during the vendor set up time. So, this appears to be a systemic problem that Kobe's knows about, but refuses to address or even warn first time sellers about. If you intend to sell at Kobe's, I would highly recommend you have enough people so that one can be singled out to just watch over the space as the others are unloading and setting up. Be forceful with the other vendors and tell them to stay clear of your space until you have finished setting up. read more

Last spring hubby brought me here to look at plants. I ended up going home with 5 of them. Since then, they have been happily growing and growing ... I purchased string of bananas, anthurium, dieffenbachia, prayer plant, and zz. Below are "then and now" pics of the prayer plant and anthurium. The next time I come back, I'm definitely getting pictures of the vendor. It never crossed my mind because I was totally focused on all the beautiful plants.
