I have golfed here before in a tournament and the course was really beautiful. I called a week in advance because like most golf courses they only book a week out. Well I called again the day before to confirm and was told they didn't see my name anywhere and that they had a tournament going. What was displeasing was that my group and I had taken the day off from work to make this golf day happen. Josh who answered the phone was very pleasant and told me he wasn't sure why Roman booked me for a day if there was no way to book with the tee times blocked off due to a tournament. Really think they need to look into this mishap. If I didn't have the OCD that I have I would've never called a day before to confirm as I usually do when there is no confirmation of a text or email reservation. Glad I called and will be calling to schedule another day and hope it sticks for next week. I will update my review if the review calls for an update. The vibes were definitely off at this course. We were backed up all day, which Id expect on a Sunday. Then on the 15th hole, this staff member (Blue Polo and Glasses) who I assume was the Marshall came up and told us that there was no one at the 16th hole and to pick up our pace. I told him, of course but we've been backed up all day and were told previously that we're making good pace at the turn. He then proceeds to insult my group, telling us to hurry up and he said some shit about scoring. He was SUPER rude and I was a little taken aback on how unprofessional he was. There were no groups in front of us or behind us, I think a group in front of us left due to the congestion that they caused. So I'm not sure why he was rushing us.Regardless, super shitty experience. If you guys are so concerned with pace, don't schedule Foursomes back to back to back. Also professionalism goes a long way, you have people in tshirt's hitting into other people's fairways all day. I'd give this experience a 0/5 if I could. I came to SDGC on a Tuesday morning to try to enjoy a rare free-day as a father to a toddler. Everything was fine up until I finished the 9th hole when I needed to use the restroom after holding it for 5 holes. After I was done using the restroom, I grabbed some food and headed to the 10th hole. While waiting for the group ahead of me on the 10th hole, I was approached by two polite Asian women who asked if I was next on the 10th hole. I let them go before me because they were older women and I was not in any rush. While waiting for them, however, an older white woman approached me and tersely asked "Where did you come from?". Based on her tone, it sounded like she was annoyed with me for some reason. To try to lighten the mood, I jokingly gave her the obvious answer that I came from the 9th hole, to which she responded "No! I was just there". I figured she was expecting an explanation, so I politely explained to her that my tee time was at 730a (hers was at 8a) but I had to stop playing after the 9th to take a break. I offered to let her go before me, but she refused then complained that her "women's group is a group of 6" insinuating that I needed to let all of them go ahead of me. After I had already offered to let her go in front of me, she said I can't go, so I told her that I'm sorry but I'm next and she could take it up with the golf club if she has a problem. I took my turn and wished her a good day. Halfway through the 11th hole, I was approached by employee, Chris, who barked at me that I needed to rejoin my group. He was unprofessional and rude so I barked back "I'm not doing that because someone is upset that I had to [use the restroom]". His reply was that I can't take a break whenever I want and hold up a group. I admit I lost it because I was not holding anyone up. That was very poorly handled by Chris. There is no reason to speak to customers that way. Had he been professional, I would not have talked to him the way I did, but he chose to be unprofessional right off the bat without calmly clarifying the situation first. I still would have argued that not one employee mentioned that I needed to rejoin my group after a break even after I asked Gary (who is in charge of the carts), where the restrooms were. It seems to me that I was discriminated against because I had a t-shirt, tennis shoes and am brown. I told Chris this was racial discrimination, but his rebuttal was that he was Mexican- because Mexicans cannot be racist against their own people, right? I made him take me to speak to the general manager, Trip. Without needing to explain anything, Trip was kind enough to offer me a full refund despite my suggestion that I only be refunded the holes I was not allowed to play. He then apologized for Chris and my experience. For Trip to immediately offer me a full refund without needing to hear my side of the story, it seems like Chris may have had similar issues with customers in the past. I went to SDGC to play in peace and spend some much needed free-time to myself, but the entitled woman and Chris had other plans. Had I not let the polite Asian women go before me, it is very likely that this would have played out differently. No good deed goes unpunished, I suppose. I will not be returning here and am going to recommend to my friends and family to avoid this place if employees like Chris are working there, but I do thank Trip for his professionalism and understanding. read more

Hosted my 50th Birthday and the staff was amazing from Patty to Yasmine they were extremely helpful. They answered all my questions from start till day of my party. Not to mention that the staff were also very helpful and attentive. The food was amazing all my guests raved how delicious the food and dessert was. The place was beautiful from the garden are to the patio and the inside venue. Food was a bit behind schedule but everything was great. Played today at 8:30am on a Monday as a single. I had made a reservation the night before at the last minute. I go out 15 minutes earlier than my time and played with 3 great guys. The course was in the best shape I have seen it. Fairways looked great. Greens are a little tricky and I like them a touch faster because it gives me an advantage. I'm a very good putter and if playing a match I usually pick up a stroke or two knowing these greens. Great senior discount - best value in the area. Just wish the fairways were a little wider for my tee shots. read more

We attended this place unfortunately for a friend dead memorial, difficult to find parking, you get to park on the streets if everything is taken. One person take us back from the street to the salon on a golf cart, thanks to that we didn't walk to much only after the reception we have to walk to the car and was dark. I didn't saw security, the place is beautiful and big, they offered food it was delicious as part of the event, the waitress and waiters all aligned and supporting, everything was beautiful, they have a bar room if you want to purchase cocktails etc. Affordable prices. They close early so is better to ask the time because we didn't asked the event still going but the bar was closed. The place needs to improve on that and security, other then that is great. read more

What a beautiful course. Fairways and greens were well-maintained.. Picturesque landscaping with a lot of water features and challenging shots to get over the water. Deer and geese added to the great experience. Clubhouse was just redone and looks great. They could add some more artwork to the walls maybe to make it feel more welcoming, but looks like they're not done. Had a delicious bloody Mary and breakfast burrito ....both very good. Horrible experience with bartender Karla. Watching the Broncos/Bills game and I got excited when my Broncos scored a TD. Told me if I got loud again I would be kicked out. They're very easygoing and make the coordinating experience as simple as possible. The course itself is in great condition and maintained well. I was honestly close to becoming a member here, but last week's experience pushed me the other way. Our foursome was playing at a totally normal pace -- about 15 minutes a hole -- and nobody was waiting behind us. The marshal came up on hole 6 saying we were slow. When I asked what the pace was supposed to be, she didn't even know. After I mentioned we were at 15 minutes, she came back saying the pace was "actually 9 minutes." That's just crazy. Then at the turn, the pro shop made a comment about us "having a rough day." The course itself is good, but the way pace of play is handled and the attitude from staff made the whole experience feel off. Easy decision not to join. read more

This review is for the event venue and staff. To start, my first venue canceled on us only four months before our wedding date. I was frantic, my mother suggested SDCGC because my grandmother used to work weddings there back in the 80s. I called and Patty was so understanding and got me in the same day for a consultation. Patty made me feel so much better and was able to meet my budget. within one day of losing my first venue, Patty had saved our wedding. The venue is perfect, the staff is caring and dedicated. We felt taken care of no matter what was thrown our way. Everything was laid out and gone over for ease. The wedding day went smoothly and effortlessly, regardless of me still being nervous. Patty and the staff were right there to help and make this day as special as possible. I cannot thank SDCGC staff enough for making our day perfect. Had a teatime yesterday which that all works out for a foursome unfortunately, one of the guys in my group had to leave early so we requested for him to have his own cart although they wanted to charge us another fee for that golf cart fees are sometime but scam if there was four individuals that had the same teatime and had four different carts, you wouldn't have charged them a different rate trip I think that's his GM's name needs to take note. Also I'm a local residence that lives in San Dimas should get some type of perk or percentage off the rate saying golf courses and beautiful shape although need to handle teatime situations with the cart. read more

Guy who checks you in for your tee time is super grumpy, we got there 5 min early and said we were late. LOL. Next he saw I was going to share golf sets with my buddy and then said I can't play unless I have my own set. I totally get that those are the rules so I didn't mind if they didn't let me play so I asked if it was possible to play. He then went inside and I went inside to ask again since he didn't answer me. And he said sure you can play and as I was walking out he said "must be amateur hour right now". How do you expect to grow as a business being sassy and stuck up lol! I wasn't being rude or anything I was just asking since it was my first time playing there. Course is in really great condition. Very nice fairways, some narrow others wide open. Greens are challenging and in great shape. This course drains well after a storm unlike some nearby Course. Walking this course is fun. But what puts this course over the top is the updated bar and restaurants. Bar has great selection of beers and liquor. Nice setup and comfortable chairs overlooking tee box #1, Restaurant is brand new and has a great menu. I truly enjoyed the fish and chips. Props to the Chef. But the fresh baked cookies were truly the best. It's like they were homemade by Master Pastry Chef from Hells Kitchen. They were awesome and a must try. read more

I find it absolutely ashamed for San Dimas to take advantage of people who are looking for a tee time by double or even triple charge folks when a time becomes available on the weekend morning hours. We should all stay away from San Dimas and teach them to not mark up cost just to try to make more money on a single tee time, leaving it available to the rich and famous. There is nothing so special about San Dimas, many other golf courses out there that treat you with respect and not for how much you are willing to pay. read more

We played a few rounds here for our group tournament over the last few weeks. The course is fairly challenging with slope 118 with 6309 length. The fairways and greens are all well maintained with lush grass. Note the clubhouse is still currently completely closed so the entire checkin/snack bar is outside in the courtyard. Its unknown when it will reopen since they said its still under repair from a fire. Also there are NO bathrooms besides the porta potties in the parking lot so def go before walking in or on the turn to 10. Weekend riding rates are $74 before noon, $62 12-3pm, $52 3-4pm, $46 4-5pm, $25 after 5pm super twilight. There is a small netted range with buckets available for purchases next to the 10th tee. One small putting/chipping green next to the clubhouse. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. There is cart service on the course. Two really nice cart ladies circle really often with all your usual snacks, soda, beer, hard liquor selection. The course itself does get backed up during peak weekend hours. The pace of play can grind to a slow pace especially with slow groups ahead. In 3 rounds we averaged about 5.5 hours per round. The longest round took 6.5 hours on a packed Saturday afternoon. There isn't much enforcement from the Marshall so be aware. The fairways here are pretty narrow on many holes. So driving accuracy is a must to score well here. Water is also in play on 4 holes; 3, 14, 15, and 16. Some greens are very hard to read with double breakers and difficult pin positions. Not to mention very small greens. But overall an enjoyable course to challenge all skill levels. read more

This place doesn't allow for juniors to reserve tee time even if the parent spectates and rents a cart. They are hosting a junior tournament. Yet, only juniors are allowed to walk in. My son ,14 years old, had to wait for 3 hours to play. I don't recommend this place at all.... The manager only cares about money, so he doesn't let the junior reserve tee time because their rate is lower! read more

Haven't been here in like 5-6 years, but played here today for a tournament for my work. The course is pretty fun and challenging. Some narrow fairways and some tricky greens. A couple of fairways are pretty wide and you can really just let it rip and try to bomb it. There are also some dog legs and water on a few holes, so you really have to think about club selection and setting up for your next shot. The greens and fairways were really well maintained and the tee boxes weren't too chewed up. No GPS on the carts, but there are yardage markers on the cart paths. Also a cart girl that drives around the course. Overall, it was a fun round of golf. Nice scenery with the mountains surrounding the course and the deer walking around. read more

Ive played this course 4 times and every time its been a 6 hour + round. There is never a marshal out to keep pace of play and people waiting for entire par 5s to clear before teeing off. Even when we tried to call the front and get someone to come out nobody answered. Really great course but $80 for a course that has 20 minute back ups consistently and no marshal just isn't worth it. read more

Just want to start off that I'm not the type of person to leave a one star yelp review but after this last visit I've had enough.... We've had 3 bad experiences on separate occasions and it's a shame because it's one of the nicer courses in the area. Our first bad experience our cart died while it was raining and I called the shop 5 times and nobody answered. I walked all the way to the club house in the rain to get a new cart just for them to be rude to me for even asking for help. Second occasion the old lady in the front yelled at us for placing our bags apparently where they weren't suppose to be. She was extremely rude, speaking to us as if we were children. This last occasion they were extremely overbooked and we had to wait 15-25 mins for each hole so we just left after playing the front 9. It took us 3+ hours just for that. As I stated before it's one of our favorite courses because it's very well kept but it's not worth being treated poorly and the course just overbooking to make money. I've given them too many chances but I'm giving up now. Definitely not coming back again. However shout out to the one guy with short brown hair and blue eyes.... Literally the only nice guy that works there. read more

Well, the wife and I decided to celebrate our 60th and 65th birthdays with a party for our closest family and friends so we chose San Dimas Canyon Golf Course. The restaurant had just opened earlier this year after some renovations and repairs. I called the event center and spoke with Patty told her what we wanted to do and she knew exactly how to take care of business. The set up was perfect for the amount of people we had. The food was excellent appetizers were excellent and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend if you have any special events coming up to go ahead and give Patti a call and book your event there at the San Dimas Canyon Golf Course. Looks like from previous reviews regarding their staff being unprofessional and rude explains my mothers experience with one of their "catering employee" picking up a will call order for them at Sysco in Walnut! Theresa was parked in a parking spot with her door open..... as we pulled in she didn't close her door so we tapped on the horn... she closed her door and rolled down her window and said.... "Do you think you're fucking entitled to this parking spot....." my mother was really shocked at how hostile she was & also her mouth. My mom mentioned she was 64 and did t want to talk that far and she replied "I don't give a fuck how old or handicap you are...." The only reason I know where she worked was overhearing her rude mouth mention it to the operator who loaded her car.... Sysco management was also made aware of her attitude and her being hostile to other customers in their parking lot. We also called and spoke to the General Manager. He said he would speak to her. I would never allow her to be near my customers the way she treated my mother. Good Luck with that! read more
