I came for a 8:30 AM tee time on a Saturday morning, I could count the number of cars in the parking lot on one hand. It is quite surprising that there were not more people. The green fee is $10. Location: This course can prove a little tricky in finding it if you have never been there before. It is located behind the sports park (currently under construction) in the back corner near the riverbed area.

Management should do a better job of communicating hours or extending service to accommodate golfers. This course used to be well maintained. A few of the holes are on the long side and the greens aren't the typical flat ones you get on a course like this; they've got some undulation and some are raised. The course architecture is what makes it fun. No mats; it's nice to tee off on grass on a little muni course. The grass isn't perfect, but it's in good shape. There's nothing to buy in the clubhouse, really - I think I saw 2 shirts and some tees. There is a kitchen that has breakfast, burgers and such - I skipped that, though. But the moment I walked into Wedgewood Rio Hondo, I knew there was something different. I first visited with my sisters and met Tamica. Even though we had already visited another location within the same company, the welcome we received at Rio Hondo was night and day. Tamica made me feel at home. Wedding planning can be incredibly stressful, but she immediately made me feel comfortable and cared for. The next day, I opened my email and saw a message from Tamica thanking me for coming in. No other venue had done that, and that small gesture meant so much. We still had one more venue to visit, this time with my fiancé at the time . It still wasn't the one. I texted Tamica and asked if we could pop in really quickly so he could see what I had seen. Sure enough, he walked in, saw my vision, and we both knew -- this was it! We went home, and BAM -- the date was set! From that moment on, the entire planning process was practically stress-free. We were given a wedding binder, an amazing team, and so much support. They listened to our ideas and, little did we know, their wheels were turning full speed behind the scenes. They allowed us to plan at our own pace while making sure everything was handled. She will absolutely have a friend for life! A successful wedding needs an amazing DJ, and Dustin absolutely rocked it! We created our playlist together, and that dance floor literally never stopped.
