The most honest and efficient mechanic I have experienced, and that is hard to come by! My Lexus wouldn't start, and after talking to Moses (the mechanic), he had my car towed to the service station FOR FREE, and quickly accesed that it was my timing belt. The next day I came to pick it up and my car started right away! When I told my friends and family, they were impressed with the reasonable pricing. I don't know if I'm happy due to this place being only one block walking distance or because of the person who I worked with. The mechanic is a great guy and easy to talk to. Due to rarely driving for the past two years my oil has not been changed for probably 2 years but just now reached the recommended miles that require an oil change. I have been worried because although there were not many miles driven, oil that sits for years is old and can cause problems. When I took my car in I expected an upselling game that I have always had to deal with in the past at J.Lube and other places. Unlike in the past, I was not forced to buy a new trans, get a valve job or even install an inside bar and hot tube. Sam, I think his name is, was so easygoing and agreeable that he made the whole experience worthwhile. I'm the kind of person who never asks for rides so when it comes to repairing time the thought of sitting for hours gives me imaginary hemorrhoids but now I know all I have to do is walk one block to meet a new friend and have my car worked on. It is not easy to trust a mechanic these days. This is the first time i brought my car to Sam. Chances are l am never taking my car to the dealer or any other mechanic. Sam has a degree in mechanical and civil engineering. There is not a car that he hasn't worked on. Another update: I finally followed the mechanic's advise from last time - to fix the leak in transmission - and brought the car in on Friday morning. I don't live close by so I am not in position to leave the car overnight. And according to him, transmission has to cool down before the repair. So I left the car at the gas station and spent a few hours at San Dimas library reading megazines and later walking around the downtown area. Came back around noon and the car was ready. I am very happy to say that the price was quite reasonable, exactly within the estimate, and most importantly the car runs noticeably better. So overall I am still very happy with the mechanics at the place and will bring my car in for any foreseeable repair jobs. I still recommend this place very highly. read more

I came here once before he took over and the service was terrible, over priced and unreliable. Eddie changed all of that. They are fair priced, very honest and stand by their work. I got four vehicles in my house and I let them service all of them. Nowadays, it is very hard to find honest and reliable mechanics. A lot of them out there misdiagnose, sell you parts that you don't need and try to rip you off the moment you step in their shop but not this one. Eddy is really great. I bring my 2013 Honda Odyssey for service and he always lets me know if he sees something that might be under warranty. I also have had him do quite a bit of work on my 2003 BMW X5 and he has done great work. He's never been over an estimate and he completes almost all the work the same day. The gas pumps are dishonest! Check your receipt. I pushed the button for 87 octane, but received 91 octane. When I told him that he should check the pump, he said I was too old to remember which button I had pushed. I told him that I was sure of it and he said that I should leave. Wow! How rude! read more

Gonna ruin the 5 star streak. Been driving my car for months since I bought it. Had to get my smog done. I came in clean and left with my check engine light. Gave me a code for misfire in a cylinder. I tried to contest him because he opened my gas cap DURING the test to check to make sure it was good. He said I would need a valve job possibly. I have new wires. New plugs. And by new I mean months new. I left upset that it "failed". Emissions we're good. But the light coming in was suspect. I reset my light. I took it to AutoZone to check the OBD and i had ZERO codes. Took it to a different smog place and it passed. Idk if he wanted to charge me the 20 dollar retest. But I would have preferred to pay the 20 outright than to have to wasted my time and broken my trust in this place since I frequent it for gas and red bulls in the gas station. I really wanted this to go smoothly. But now it's a wrap. I'm out 70 dollars more for another smog elsewhere cause I could t trust to bring it back. And I wasted a 2 days waiting for the sensors to reset and cycle. Sorry Edick. Checking the gas cap while conducting the smog was an unforgivable auto sin. Wish it didn't start and end like this. read more
