Tuan is fabulous. He takes his time and gives you suggestions , but of course, will not do it unless you approve of it. Took in my wedding dress for the length and straps and he did wonders. Especially with the detail that was on my dress. i took in my dress early (beginning of Sept) and wedding wasn't until November 15th. But I wanted to give ample time. Came back i believe the first week of november to try it on again, and he wanted to adjust the straps again after seeing it on me, and had that done in another week. And the cost of all the alterations was SO GREAT compared to going to some bridal place. My husband also takes in all his suits, pants, etc. I live all the way in Baldwin Park and drive to San Dimas just to know i'll get a job well done. :) You won't regret coming here, especially if its an important dress/suit/etc. for some sort of occasion. read more

I started going to Tuan over 4+ years ago and he's been my go-to tailor since. It used to be my local tailor but now I make special trips to San Dimas just to have him hem my pants. Hemmed pants is a lifelong struggle for a petite person like myself where even petite sizes still run long on me. Tuan does an excellent job of hemming, particularly jeans where he replicates the original hem style and thread color. This is a long review to read but in a few words: Mr.Tuan is the most talented, skillful and thoughtful professional that I have encountered in many years. My daughter's wedding was less than 2 weeks away and my dress needed to be hemmed. Because every review I read about San Dimas Tailor was a 5 Star review and all comments mentioned Mr. Tuan's professionalism I brought my dress there. As Mr Tuan measured, he noticed that the shoulder straps of the sleeveless dress needed adjustments to fit properly. It told him I would be wearing a shrug because I didn't like the tops of my arms exposed. I asked him if he could fashion sleeves from the excess hem material. After some discussion he figured out how he might be able to, but when I told him there was only 12 days until the wedding he regretfully said he didn't have enough time. While continuing our talk I mentioned for the first time that I was the mother of the bride. After I changed and he was figuring out the charges, he told me he wanted me to be happy for my daughter's wedding and he would try to make the sleeves. But he couldn't promise due to difficulty and time constraints. OF COURSE he worked until 9:00 pm the night before and made the the sleeves so beautifully they looked like they were part of the original design. Thank you Mr. Tuan. read more

At first he asked me if I could wait a week for my items. Then told me it would be two weeks. Then he called me the day I was supposed to pick them up and he hadn't even started them and asked me to come the next day. They put a patch in the pants where they had ripped and it looked nice but I wore them for a day and the patch chaffed my skin so badly that I can't even wear them anymore. read more

THIS MAN IS A GOD. I've taken two bridesmaid dresses to him so far, and he's quite literally saved my life. The first was way too big and fell right off, and the second was WAY SMALL and wouldn't even zip. I don't know how, but he tailored both to fit like a flawless, perfect glove. And he's so nice! He honors the original price quote he gives you even if he discovers there's more work he has to do to make it perfect for you! I always pay him extra if that's the case. Tuan made sure that he knew exactly what I wanted and what he said he was going to do to fix it. Being the anxious person that I am, he really put my mind at ease (especially since I was getting it tailored last minute and I knew I wouldn't have time to find another suit, nonetheless get it altered, in less than a week).
