Convenient if you live nearby, but definitely on the expensive side. I recently found out they held onto one of my shirts for almost a year because it wasn't ready with my original order, and I was never contacted until now. Maggie is an expert in tailoring dresses .. She's quick in understanding the issue and helps with a great attitude and is very helpful .. she helped me with a dress that was to big in size for a wedding for this weekend and she made it work within a few days before the weekend .. less then 4 days .. she's very nice and her shop is super Clean .. Having returned from our trip out of state, to pick up my items, which were suppose to be ready on Fri 12/26 & she closed her business early with no notice or phone call. I contacted owner no apology, claimed she had surgery, I didnt receive a call from them, no apology. If anything when I went to pick up my garments she refused to let me see them unless I paid her. We got into a shouting match, she threw my receipt at me, my credit card at me. Shes a sorry excuse of a human being. She put her hands on me & fortunately my son stepped between us. She went on to say shes been here for 27 years, I say 27 years too long. Never have I experienced such an unprofessional business. They closed their shop early when it was suppose to be open til 5 in the 26th & nothing was posted with exception of Mon-Fti til 5pm. If you can avoid this establishment, save yourself the headache & go elsewhere. Total garbage behavior. read more

Having been dissatisfied with my previous dry cleaners, I've tried a few alternatives and of these, Village Cleaners has risen to the top. Pluses are 1) most importantly, my dress shirts come back with immaculate collars (unlike my previous cleaners, which would return collars with sweat stains), 2) they charge a reasonable $6/shirt (the two other dry cleaners I've tried charged $6.50 and $7), 3) they have by far the easiest in/out back parking lot, and 4) they're right around the corner from Shoppers Lane, which has some of our favorite restaurants. The only minor negative is that they have a $2 charge for credit/debit cards, but I'm saving a buck per shirt over my previous cleaners, so I still come out ahead...and my previous cleaners required all customers to prepay. read more

The owner was so sweet and accommodating with my very last minute request for a pant hem. It's an older shop but very clean, and the turnaround time was fast. First time coming here since they do alterations and my last cleaners will be closing this year. Was greeted by an older lady and she was very nice, welcoming and explained to me the pricing and how she'd patch up my uniform etc .. small little spot and not too busy at all. Came back 3 days later and my uniform was cleaned, patched up and my jeans were patched also.. great quality care and the older man who was working today was patient and quick. This is a small family business and the owners are very sweet and professional. I was looking for a local dry cleaning place to have my clothes dry cleaned and stumbled upon this gem. They're very friendly, professional, and accommodating. They're always on time when your clothes are ready. They also provide alterations and tailoring. I inquired about tailoring one of my pajama pants (she called them sentimental pajamas because she told me it would cost more to tailor it then just buying a new one, but I told her my wife got it for me and it has sentimental value to me lol). She respected my decision and she ended up tailoring the way I want it and I was very happy and grateful with her work and the results! They're very honest with you and will not upsell their services. They will only tell you what's needed to be done to your clothes (i.e. your fitting, hemming, etc.). I called around to several cleaners and tailors desperately looking for someone to fix a very expensive costume that I needed in a week for a performance. The costume was much too large on me. Unfortunately of all the other businesses I called, no one was willing to touch it because of all the tassels and rhinestones on the costume. But I called Village Cleaners and the owner was wonderful and extremely skilled. She adjusted my costume and made it fit perfectly. She took it in all over and even fixed the leg seams, putting much more secure elastic. I love this family owned business. They have really come through for me consistently on alterations for my kids events, homecoming and cheer events. I rarely need to use alteration and cleaners services, but my wedding was coming up and i needed my suit to be altered and fitted to my liking. I looked on yelp and saw Village Cleaners was near my place and so I went. It was around 9:30 in the morning and there was one person there. Magda- she's the owner. She was very nice and kind and asked what I needed. I told her specific things i wanted to be done to my suit and I told her it's for my wedding so I wanted it to be perfect. So i wore my suit and she marked the measurements and pinned what she needed to according to my liking. Although she was very fast, I did not feel rushed. She took her time with me and even gave me advice about suit and pant lengths- how it should look and how long/short the overall suit is in proportion to my body. I really appreciated that. After all the measurements, she said no problem, come back in 4 days to pick it up, pressed and ready to go. When i picked it up and tried it on, I was impressed and very happy of how it turned out! Everything was how I expected it to be- Perfect! And it was not that expensive either! The price was fair and reasonable! The customer service was great too! She'll be my go-to place when i need dry cleaning and alteration service from now on. She's been doing this for 20+ years! You can count on her! Thanks Magda! I wasn't going to write this review, because hey, everybody makes mistakes. But when my mom came to pick up my UNEVENLY hemmed pants at an agreed upon day (a week later, so this is two weeks now after I first dropped them off. See attached pictures) the woman had not yet started on fixing them! She made my mom wait as she did them. The tailor was not apologetic when I called her about the hem being an entire inch uneven. She didn't offer to give my money back. She also ironed the pants opposite the front crease. To think that people get their wedding dresses tailored here and they can't even hem pants the same length and know where the crease is. Seriously, if me or my mom had gotten a single "sorry" for the inconvenience from this business I wouldn't have written this review!!! But nope. Magda sent me a yelp message to tell me that the ticket stated ready by 12pm. For your infomation Magda, the pants was dropped off on Monday, 20June16 and there was NO time indicated on the ticket and also I do have a witness who heard you say that any time on Wednesday is ok. According to you it will only take about 24hrs to hem the linen pants. But I came in FRIDAY, 24June16 at 1:30PM because I had to an appt. in Rancho at 2pm. So to serve your memory right you Were given the opportunity to run a business and an ample of time to do your job! Due to your negligence and poor customer service I will take my business somewhere else. For fellow yelpers who rated this business 4 stars shame on you! This is not a proper business to deal with! I would not waste my time and money going to this place. The lady did such a bad job of altering clothes. The alternation came out very uneven and she was not very accommodating to her customers to correct the mistake. She also tried defending her incompetence by being rude and questioning if you spoke English to intimidate you. They do not do their dry cleaning there. They send it to someone else. And that is why shirts are prone to getting lost. They lost 2 of my shirts and don't seem to care about it and just want me to go away. On the phone, tried to say that the back of my receipt says they only give store credit but it does not. She kept desperately trying to make stuff up. Still trying to get them to pay for my shirts they lost. The lady is rude in general and paid no attention to me when I brought my shirts in. I am incredibly angry that I just found out some clothes I took to get dry cleaned here a couple months ago had shrank! I should've tried them in sooner but I didn't think they dry cleaning would shrink clothes so I just left them in the closet until I was ready to wear. The shrinkage isn't just a little tight but the sleeves are now noticeably shorter, dress length is also very short now. I will NOT be coming back here. read more

Easily the best tailor I've ever gone too. The lady that does the alterations is an artist. I've taken several items here and they always fit perfectly when she is done. I had to have several items altered quickly for work. She was very accommodating and understanding. She recommends how she thinks things should be offered but does not push you towards any look you do not want. I have moved over a half hour away from here and still my girlfriend and I refuse to take our items anywhere else. This place is reasonable priced.
