The sandwiches were so good! The staff made our sandwiches super fast even though they had a really big order in front of us.

This location often times forgets to put the xtra cheese that you paid for on the sandwich. Sometimes, if they are low on lettuce, you don't get much of that either. Folks : You are better off, buying good rolls from Yokes Market (also can freeze some additional rolls for yet another time) and getting meat and cheese at that market, etc to make a higher quality sandwich at a much lower cost at : $ 7.00 read more

I ate there today and there was 2 other people eating at appx 1100. I ordered a soup and 1/2 sandwich combo. The red pepper soup was good but barely warm. The sandwich was also good but not heated as I asked. There was 5 people standing in the back. The male cutting the bread for the soup had gloves on but touched his face twice without changing and washing hands, just kept cutting bread. In food service this is a very bad habit. The good, I really like the San Francisco sandwiches. Even though their store is part of a gas station, it's really nice. Lots of room to eat and it feels like a nice place with a lot of options for snacks. The bad, service was horrendous. There were five people working, the casher was shouting to another coworker, how she made a mistake and gave guy a sandwich and a half by mistake all flirty like, then turn to us and was very short, not being helpful with our question, expecting us to know their drink were in other part of the gas station. Then swung her tips screen around for her 18% tip or more. Us being to nice, with the already rude service, gave a $3 tip. Then when my girlfriend wanted her cheese melted, she was given a lot of negative attitude again, while being scoffed at and reluctantly offered to have her sandwich remade. Note, that sandwich was just bread, roast beef, and cheese. Done with the appalling service, we decided to just leave and reheat the sandwich at home, while a few of the employees were whispering and giving angry looks. Just negative, unhelpful, ill-tempered service for no reason. They had plenty of employees, not busy, had already been tipped well for just making two sandwiches, and still couldn't be helpful or polite with a simple request. read more

The sandwiches at this Lancaster Market location used to be fantastic. The sandwiches looked the pics on the advertisement, loaded with meats and fillings. We are not from here. My husband stopped and got breakfast here and brought it home (apparently just as breakfast time was ending) He walked in, bought our family of 6 sandwiches, paid cash (was given no receipt) and brought it home. When he got home they sat down and begun to eat, but I hadn't yet. When I did, I realized that my sandwich was wrong (he had requested no mayo) so I decided to try and go back and get it replaced because I was excited to try this new place! When I did, I didn't know exactly what he had ordered because I had never been there before, but I explained and asked nicely for a replacement. They acted like I was stupid and a liar (as I'm holding their sandwich in their wrapper) They refused to do anything about it. So I don't get to eat breakfast today I guess. I like Lancaster Market but the service at their sandwich shop is a miss. What it has going for it: - sandwiches are decent - pricing is lower than similar establishments What it has going against it: - inconsistent service It a sandwich shop.... not much to it. I have gone there a few times and service is hit or miss at best. Went their once and the staff we openly being nasty to another staff member who at the other end of the line. The latest time they told me there was at least 20 minute wait and there was nobody else on line... reason "vegetables were frozen" think owners need to get a better handle with staff, before more competition eventually comes in and will eventually effect your business. *Update - June 2020* Sorry this place has taken a turn for the worse. Mind you as of this update I have been there at least 20 times. The service is just unacceptable anymore. I've held back from writing this update to see if it was a fluke.... three visits later and an apathetic manager, force me to change my rating to a 1 star. Wait times on drive thru are over 30 minutes at times now. To get to the window it is about 15-30 minutes and once you place your order it's another 15-20 minutes. Now I understand places get busy but there has been one car ahead of me on line and the inside dinning area had 3 or 4 customers max, the last 3 times I was there. When I got to the window the last time I asked how long the wait would be, she told me right away. I explained I just saw the car in front of me wait 15 minutes after they paid before they got their 2 sandwiches. I told her I would pay once the sandwiches were done, cause if I had to wait more than 10 minutes like the previous car did.... I was leaving. (lunch hour) Sandwiches finally got out to me 9 minutes. The manager decided to deal with me since I guessing they cashier had something to say to her. Well manager comes to the window with a puss on her face, I guess ready to battle. I explained the whole situation with the previous car and the other experiences before that.... her response "We aren't fast food"....so they have a drive thru and they aren't fast food got it. I told her Subway doesn't have an issue getting a sandwich out to their customers in less than 30 minutes or even 20 minutes.... her response "we aren't Subway, go there then" obviously this manager has been dealing with annoyed customers all day. If this was a one off then I would chalk it up to them being undermanned cause someone called out or something.... but no, this is a consistent pattern at the establishment and apparently the manager could care less if customers are inconvenienced. She should not be dealing customers with her attitude. I am sure the manager will have her version, cause who wants to look apathetic? But it doesn't benefit me to give them a bad review. If you look at my past reviews, I rarely give a 1 star review to a business cause I understand it is someone's livelihood, but I go out my way for an establishment to make it right,correct an issue or show an issue is not a pattern. This place was given every opportunity to change my opinion, they failed & could careless. Food is always good except when they forget the meat in your sandwich. Go to the other one in town. Service here is questionable at best.

Decent sandwiches, obviously good bread, but terrible, and I mean terrible, service. We waited almost 35 minutes in the drive thru, we were the only ones in line. The girl that took our order got very frustrated with a couple questions. I ordered soup...she replied "we don't have soup"...I asked "you don't have soup?!" Her reply: "uhhh, yes" and rolled her eyes. She missed two sandwiches on our order and I caught it because of how cheap the bill was. She missed two drinks, etc. after waiting 35 minutes for our food(which in my opinion was deliberate) we finally got it. What a joke of a restaurant. read more

If you like Sourdough you must try this place. The breakfast sandwiches have great flavor and are prepared fresh. Sourdough Sandwiches have a special spread and the meats are very generous portions you do not have to ask or pay for extra. New clean market with nice seating. read more

Anyone who tells you that the service here is no good, is probably a jerk who deserves an attitude. The employees here don't take kindly to rude people. If you're polite and let them do their jobs, they are some of the most outstanding people you will encounter. I recommend the Garlic pesto sandwich or the Yukon gold potato soup. read more
