The good first: -The chicken sandwich was huge. Not too salty and very crispy, the flavor was well balanced 7.5/10 -Aunt Bae Mac bowl is not typically my jam but it was so tasty. The Mac has a cheese blend that is not very familiar to me but it is finger licking good 8/10 -service was friendly -Chicken Tenders: 7.5/10, very flavorful and made from actual chicken breast but they forgot my honey bbq on the side. The bad: -The jerk fries were very undercooked, good flavor but you can look at them and know they weren't finished cooking. 5/10 The ugly: -Was quoted 15 min, took 40 min to get my carry out order. I would return to try other Mac bowls, seems to be their specialty. I would love to see a seafood option offered for the Mac bowls (lobster etc). San Jeanetta's Table is such a cute restaurant. It feels very cozy and comfortable. It's almost like you are at home. The menu can be a little intimidating, lol, at least for me. There are so many different variety's of mac n cheese, sloppy joes, chicken etc. They also offer Koolaid, which makes me feel like a kid visiting my grandma. The Mac n cheese stole the show. It's just so good. The cheesiness is perfect, the macaroni was cooked perfectly. I am so impressed with the flavors that were bursting in my mouth. The cornbread was absolutely delicious. The texture was amazing. It was so light and buttery tasting. I didn't need to add anything at all to it. It melted in my mouth. The fries were perfectly seasoned and crispy. If you're craving wings this is your place! It was so good, price was right and the service was great! The man who attended us was a sweet man always checked in on us (he said he was new but he knew what he was doing). This place is a very chill relaxed place to eat and enjoy each other's company. Excellent food! I was able to order and pay right on the toast app. It was quiet and empty being late night. The orders were take out for the last hour. I don't even think they were full staffed. The food took a little longer than the time I was given, but it was fine. The food tastes so great it was crispy and tasty. The pickles are thick crisp and juicy. The loaded fries were different than usual places. The fries already have a tasty seasoning on them. Cheese and ranch was added. The wings are Herb flavored which are dry, I loved them and they were $1 each for games celebrations. If you have haven't tried this get it. Btw the Sonny Tuscan Mac is a bit spicy and Aunt Bea Is sweet. I loved the chicken flavor with that sweetness and the Mac is rich and creamy. Maybe try one thing at a time cuz you'll be too full to eat it all but it'll be hard to stop! The ambiance is a small old Subway location repurposed for this space which is much more unique and flavorful. Is black owned and operated. Give small business owners your business! We really enjoyed our lunch here! The restaurant is a cute family owned and operated business that delivers on their southern comfort food menu. You can tell by the service that they care about their customers. I got the aunt Bae bowl, and it was delicious. The Mac and cheese is made with real ingredients from the heart. My husband got the Wanda Lou Grits and finished the whole bowl. While they don't advertise a kids meal, they did have a two tender meal or a Mini Mac for $6 each. I was in this shopping center shopping and needed some food so turned to yelp and found this new (to this location) right in the same parking lot. Turns out I'd tried them previously when they were in the food hall. It was 2pm, not a normal meal time, so the place was almost empty but I got the warmest welcome and and some conversation from the gal behind the register. I tried the Aunt Bae Bowl and it was fantastic. So cheesy and flavorful with the chicken and sauce. For me this was two meals due to the richness. Wings were just subpar thick and rubbery tasting, not sure what all the hype is about in the reviews but I swear I was unable to eat this type of slimy rubbery tasting jumbo wing. Then they barely have any type of breading on the "breaded wings". Fries were amazing though for sure only consumable thing. Been here twice. Wonderful food. Great portions and better flavor. Their grits were well cooked, well-seasoned, and fresh. My daughter loved the chicken strips and fries. And they were dark with seasoning. The wings are huge, crispy, well-sauced, and the sauces are flavorful. They also add enough sauce, which can be a problem with other places (I got the wings with a to-go order). We also got the chicken sandwich. Listen, if you are reading the reviews for this place, the chicken sandwich is exactly as described. I met one of the owner(s), and she was delightful. Very patient and helpful. I'm not one to typically share a negative review but after the 4th negative experience here, last night being the worst to date, I think it's time. The restaurant was out of the particular side I had ordered. After waiting for 20 minutes I received a phone call telling me they were out of that particular side and to return to the counter. Upon returning to the counter, I'm immediately met with attitude from the restaurant employee. She continued to act extremely rude and annoyed about me having to choose a replacement side. I chose the replacement and inquired about status of the remainder of my order and was told the entire thing was "put on hold", at that point and had not begun preparing yet. I then asked for a refund because I didn't want to wait another 20 minutes for my food was assured it would only be 5-10 minutes at most. Ok, I'll wait. After 15 minutes I hear the employee say "Mam, your food is ready" I look up only to be met with attitude once again as the employee snaps at me, "I wasn't talking to you" after another 5 minutes I receive a text message telling me my food is ready (20 minutes after choosing the replacement side, 45 minutes after originally ordering) I walk to the counter, tell the employee my order is ready, only to be snapped at once again saying "I already told you, your food isn't ready" after waiting another 10 minutes I see my food placed in the window. The employee doesn't give me my food, instead proceeds to wait on and bag up 3-4 other orders (that were all placed while I waited for my children's food). After about 5-10 minutes of looking at my food in the window I walked over to the counter to ask for it and was yelled at about "respecting her" and getting it when she was ready to give it to me. I again asked for a refund, at this point the facility manager got involved, gave me my food, apologized profusely and issued a refund. From placing my order, to actually receiving the food was 1 hour and 10 minutes and at least 3 inappropriate, unprofessional interactions with the employee. I can confidently say that after last nights experience, I will not be returning to San Jeanetta's table. Element Eatery is a great establishment with too many other great restaurant options to tolerate being treated this way. read more
