I had a great experience here. Since I fish for stock trout, I wanted to see the process of how they're raised. They had a section for baby trout, then the medium sized and larger trout. You can feed them too, which was the best part. They leave a bucket of fish food out for you. There's no lid on it so birds that can fit through the fence and ground squirrels will come in to eat the fish food. There's a sign where it says to only feed a handful to the fish and not to touch the water since that can affect the water.

Fun free activity to take kids/family to. Didn't see the trail wish we could have experienced it. We started at the office and the gentleman there was kind and broke down how everything worked. It's self guided which worked with my introverted side. The first raceway didn't have any food which was a bummer but we found some at the end so we were happy we got to try that. So much opportunity to bring in more people to visit.

Fun, free, and educational outing with the kids. Take extra time and visit the Small Fry Trail as well, for a very easy little trail hike with the kiddos. The hatchery has restrooms and a small grassy area with a couple of picnic tables, so you can go in the morning, and then have a little picnic lunch before heading home.

I am really excited to see how this place evolves as they expand their trail to connect to Lost Lake park & as the salmon conservancy building is completed/opened to the public. We were just our for a relaxing Saturday morning drive when the large sign visible from the road intrigued us. It was still fairly early when we went (just before 9am). The Small Fry trail was absolutely adorable & clean. If you have children, they have an awesome & creative children's playground built into the nature trail. They even have a canoe that kids can sit in & pretend play in. It's not a huge play area but it's tastefully done to blend into surroundings. The trail is currently very short due to construction of the salmon conservancy but it's still pretty & well-maintained. We did not go to the fish hatchery. All the signs indicated it opened at 7am but the gates were closed so that was a little odd/unwelcoming. However, I think with the projects that are in process here, it will become a destination worth visiting for local residents.

Amazing little place to bring the family to and hang out for a couple hours feeding some fish. They no longer charge to get fish food from the machines so get here early to get some fish food. They only re-fill the containers twice a day and once it's done, it's done. They have several picnic tables on the property and your typical creepy state park restrooms which are clean, but still creepy. There's not much shade so I recommend bringing a hat and some sun screen. Bring the fam and enjoy feeding some fish.

This place is great. I've been coming here since I was a kid. Be sure to bring quarters for fish food. There are rows and rows of fish during all stages of development. Great place to walk around at and learn more about our ecosystem and where lake fish come from. Trout is what is grown here and it is truly fun to see all the fish. They have really clean bathrooms too which is a great plus! Entrance is free.

Such a neat place to visit for all ages . It's off Friant Road and Fleming Road. A brand new parking lot opened with bike parking and a map display. The new parking lots is on Friant road just before Fleming Road but there's more parking spaces down by the hatchery also. It's opened from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm daily. No fee. Clean restroom. A new trail called " Small Fry Children's Trail" opened up recently. It's really neat with all the displays. Starting 4/3/17 part of the section of San Joaquin River Parkway Trail is closed due to construction of Salmon Conservancy. There's two lots for the bus parking. My son came here with a school trip once. You can volunteer every Friday and Saturday morning to pull the weed at children's trail to keep it nice and safe.

You can park all the way to the back using the Fleming Avenue entrance. Be sure to remove your vehicle before 3 PM!

Super fun place for the family! We like to take our kids, who are between the ages of 11-16, to experience things we have not yet done. We all absolutely loved it! We came to visit on New Year's Day, which was really nice because we could take our time and experience everything without a crowd. There were only two other families there when we arrived and they were about to leave and two other families a bit after we arrived. We pretty much had the place to ourselves. We brought a picnic lunch and sat and ate before feeding the fish ourselves. The only thing I did not anticipate was bringing our own containers(cups) to fill with fish pellets. There were red solo cups near the food area but they were cracked or a bit broken, we used them anyway but I recommend taking some of your own, we lucked out with those being available to us. They also enjoyed the Small Fry Trail, which is mostly meant for younger kids, but they enjoyed walking through and being able to play in the area and reading all of the signs around the trees and bushes learning the names of them and bringing a few leaves home that they really liked. Can't wait to visit again as they will be extending that trail to Lost Lake Park!

We spent about 3 or so hours playing & exploring. It's really meant for younger ages, probably up until about 10-11. Not sure i would go out of my way to go back, only because we don't live locally but if we lived in fresno I would consider getting a membership. Came here once for my nephews birthday and haven't been back since, so it's been a while and I kind of forgot this place exists. You can get your tickets online, I happen to check at the right time because their prices and affordable on every first Saturdays of the month! The lady working was super friendly and helpful, she even told me they do music classes and that the kids are more than welcome to join. Around 11am they have a person doing a science presentation but unfortunately she was running late on her project and I overheard her being kind of rude and not in a good mood so we decided to move on to the next room. They were also selling boba and eggrolls outside, sorry I forget the name of the seller that had their booth there. The kids enjoyed the front area where they can dress up, draw and play with toys. There was also someone selling their 3D printed animals, which the kids loved so I caved and bought them all one plus help support small businesses. Overall it was a nice experience for the kids to enjoy.

I've never seen anything quite like these. The smell of all the citrus trees combine with the natural cooling underground was amazing and made the tour comfortable. If you have any time i do recommend visiting these secret gardens.

They no longer participate in the Museums for All program, which was a fantastic way to promote inclusion. Now, they offer a "Wednesday Welcome Days" program allowing adults with a valid ID and a WIC or EBT card to purchase up to four $5 general admission tickets on Wednesdays. This move feels exclusionary, as it limits access for lower-income families to just one day a week--who can take time off work or school to visit? Where's the every day equity? To make matters worse, they don't offer any discount for closing early when we had only an hour left. We paid $99.80 to enter (for 2 adults, a 4-year-old, and a 2-year-old). Additionally, we spent $18.00 for three of us to feed giraffes and $24.00 for the Zoorassic Park experience, which forced us to buy the butterflies package too. We even paid $10 to feed the stingrays, only to be told they were out of food after we had already paid. In total, we wasted $151.80 for just an hour of lackluster fun. Honestly, I'd rather pay a little more for a day at Disneyland--where kids' tickets are only $50 (recent promotion). This place is overcharging and seriously lacking consideration for families. We won't be returning to Fresno Chaffee Zoo.

I asked him if he had time to come out and give me an estimate. Jeremiah said he did and would. It wouldn't be a problem. We both agreed to meet between both our schedules. On the day before the meeting of the estimate, Jeremiah texted and assured that he'd come accordingly to what we both agreed. On the day of the meeting, I thought he was running late. So I waited... and waited... and more waiting. He never showed up nor did he make a courtesy call that he wasn't going to show up. It's been several days. Still silent. A coworker mentioned the same thing about this company as well. This company pulled the same stunt on her too. Word of free advice to Those Two Fish Guyz. If you can't make it to a meeting, common sense says to give the customer a courtesy call. If you can't take on a job, give the customer a straight answer that you can't. It'll be a miracle if this company stays afloat when they're already giving potential customers red flags.

My family contracted Those Two Fish Guyz to repair our large family pond. Initially our…read moreinteractions were pleasant and professional, however after we paid our deposit our experience with Those Fish Guyz drastically changed. During our consultation on June 6, 2024, we were ensured all the holes in the pond would be sealed, cracks in waterfall would be repaired, a new pump would be purchased and installed, a UV light would be installed, pump box wooden lid would be rebuilt, and the pond would be cleaned, refilled and would be treated with good bacteria. My mother paid the $1500.00 deposit on July 1, 2024, and work on the pond was scheduled to begin on the following Monday, July 5, 2024. After no one showed up on Monday, July 5, 2024, Tuesday, July 6, 2024, and Wednesday, July 7, 2024, my mother texted Those Fish Guyz on July 8, 2024, to inquire when work on our pond would begin. She was informed work would begin later that day; however, no one came to our residence or informed us they would need to reschedule. My mother messaged Those Fish Guyz on July 8th, 10th, 12th, 19th, and 22nd. Those Fish Guyz finally found time in their schedule to come to our residence (they also brought one of their minor children) on July 23, 2024, and spent approximately two hours "working" on our pond. They informed my mother they would be out the following day to install our wooden lid. My mother reached out to Those Fish Guyz on July 25, 2024, after they missed their previously agreed upon return date. My mother was informed they could not make it. My mother messaged Those Fish Guyz again on July 26th, July 27th, and July 29th. Those Fish Guyz finally returned to our residence on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, and informed my stepfather they were "99%" done with our pond. My stepfather informed them they did not rebuild our wooden top (they instead installed netting and plumbing pipes without speaking to my mother or stepfather), our pond was still leaking, the UV light was not installed, and the pond still had dirt, debris and was not treated. Those Fish Guyz agreed to come out the following day to complete the job and install the rebuilt wooden lid. My stepfather requested an itemized statement of the work completed, their hourly rate and the amount spent on supplies. Those Fish Guyz refused to provide the requested information because they stated they were not finished. After Those Fish Guyz did not return to our residence the following day, my mother messaged Those Fish Guyz on Monday, August 5, 2024, to see if they could complete the work that afternoon. They responded and stated they would out around 1:00 p.m. After several hours passed my mother called Those Fish Guyz and was informed they could not make it out again. My mother requested an itemized statement of the work completed, their hourly rate and the amount spent on supplies. Those Fish Guyz again refused to provide the requested information because they stated they were not finished. My mother informed Those Fish Guyz she was unsatisfied with the work completed thus far and she would like to know what her deposit was spent on thus far. Those Fish Guyz again declined to provide the requested information and disregarded our concerns about their professionalism and overall work completed. Those Fish Guyz became combative with my mother and ended the call. Minutes later, my mother received a text message stating they were going to send her into collections for not paying the remaining balance owed. Please avoid using these individuals at all costs.
