This transit center gets 3.5 stars from me. The system itself isn't very good and only saves itself by being available. Most of the buses can be boarded just north of the building. Some buses are boarded on Weber Ave. This isn't as clear as it should be. If you're lucky enough to find one of their ambassadors of service, they will work efficiently to help you find your way, eliminating the confusion. You can reach most of the county from this center, and there are buses to Dublin/BART and Sacramento. Indoors, tickets are sold, but you must talk from behind the glass, so it can be a bit difficult to hear. Lighting outside is sufficient, except on Weber Avenue. Also, buses going to Tracy, Lathrop, and Manteca change where they are boarded, so be aware. read more

When calling to check eta's for the rides you book through dial a ride, the lady's over the phone act like your asking them to read you the dictionary from A to Z so rude and lazy do better! I'm simply asking you do your job if it's too hard maybe you should look into something else. read more

Well, day two of the new routes and hours and it's back to the same old mess ups! Late, late, late and to top it off to be passed by... AGAIN! Yes, I said again, this is not the first time this has happened. Today, my nephew and I stood outside in the 100 degree whether for 1 hour and 40 minutes! When the first bus passed us by, I immediately called (or tried because everything is automated, no one to actually speak with) in hopes to get the driver to turn around, but no chance. When I did reach Charlotte, I explained the situation and shared with her, that the last time the dispatch center sent a supervisor to pick us up. She said she would "try" to reach a supervisor and call us back, guess what... no call back, no ride, one hour, 40 minutes!!!! NOT ACCEPTABLE AGAIN. I will be back again to the next Board Meeting to share my disappointment with the (lack of) service of RTD. read more

The 40's schedule is bullshit, add a 10 minute buffer on both sides. Yes, this is a bus that comes every 15 minutes and I've seen 2 running next to each other multiple times. Motherfuckers will sit there 5 minutes past the time they are supposed to leave then leave as if they aren't late as hell now. I'm thankful that this paratransit service (Dial A Ride) is available in my town; however, scheduling rides can be extremely frustrating. I ride to and from Kaiser at least once each week and one time when I called to schedule another round-trip ride to the same address and was told that the address was outside of their service area. In addition, they don't allow any same-day changes to your scheduled rides; twice I was stranded when my return pickup address or time had to change. I have learned to call GoGo Grandparent when RTD Dial A Ride lets me down. read more

Okay, so last week I purchased a ticket on line for the bus to Dublin to Tracy, however I got a call to state that I will get a ride back to Tracy via car, so that I wouldn't have to wait an hour for bus, since I had a walking boot on foot. In the past, I have been refunded by RTD for non used bus fare through their app. So this morning I received a call from their office to say that they will not refund my account because I have riden the bus several times and should know how the procedure by now. ummm excuse me lady! What is your procedure or policy, because in the past I have been refunded. Not only do the busses break down often, and folks have to use Lyft etc. Poor communication on their part. From now on I will have CASH in hand to ride that piece of . It beats driving sometimes and guess what, they too have seat hogs, drug users etc, just like Bart. I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE HOPPER BUS BEFORE BUT FOR THE PAST 3 WEEKS. RIGHT WHEN I GOT OFF OF WORK AROUND 4PM OR SO. THE DRIVER NEVER SHOWS UP ON TIME. THE SCHEDULED TIME FOR HOPPER is 4:09pm but this driver decided to route their location either coming early at 4:05 or earlier than that. I also noticed new drivers are not on scheduled..either they are on break or talking on their phone. Like for real, they need to get themselves together and be on time. people got places to go such as work, school etc....yall need a meeting with all employees and discuss their work management. read more

I have been riding it since I was a baby because I cant afford a car haha. The tickets are cheap and it gets me from point A to point B. The metro buses come every 15 minutes so there's not much waiting around. In the mornings, there are many students from Delta (Bus 40). so it gets packed. I have so many stories to tell. But yeah, RTD is the best way to get around. I feel like I'm going on an adventure every time I ride the bus. Thank you RTD bus drivers for taking me here and there all my life. Cheers! read more

As a disabled person on November 24th, after presenting valid disabled pass identification, I was not allowed to ride at the disabled fare rate on the San Joaquin Regional Transit Bus System. A direct violation of Public Utilities Code 99155, a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act and other applicable law. In addition to this denial, the operator violated other law and was the most discourteous public transit operator I have ever encountered. Route 71 by the way. SJRTD Commuter #150 has been consistently 30-40 minutes late for pick-up at Lathrop. This makes us an hour late getting to work in San Francisco. You cannot trust this service unless you have a flexible work schedule. read more

I've been using RTD's services ever since moving to Stockton for college and it's served me well. Usually take route 40 during the afternoon hours during the weekdays and it's been a fast, efficient, and easy way to get around. Buses, for the most part, are nice, well kept, air conditioned, and run on a consistence schedule. Using public transit in Stockton isn't as bad as it sounds. Prices are reasonable as well. No complaints at all." read more

I'm not a fan of the RTD Commuter. It is supposed to pick up commuters from the Dublin/Pleasanton BART station, but the RTD schedule is so tight that if there is the slightest delay on BART (and any commuter will tell you that is a common occurrence) the likelihood that the commuter bus will leave you is extremely great. "It's okay," they say, "Another bus is coming in an hour." They don't seem to understand that commuters would rather not spend an hour at a bus stop! Customer service will listen to your complaints, but they won't do anything to resolve an issue. I don't think they care if they are providing good service; happy customers are not their priority. They think we will continue to take the bus, no matter how we are treated. read more

San Joaquin Commuter #150 This is review is on the driver who covered route #150 on Tuesday, July 14, 2015, departing from Dublin Bart at 6:30pm. First of, let me say, this is my 2nd week in my monthly pass and I am fairly new to the area. My main point of this review is about what happened today. I arrived to Dublin bart at 6:28pm, to which, I ran to catch the last bus for the day that departs at 6:30. It literally took me a few seconds to see that thr RTD 150 bus was already gone... gone... i couldnt even see it in the distance. The bus had left BEFORE 6:30pm. I pulled out my phone to figure out some alternatives to getting to my 1hr away stop, and found 3 other passengers confused and making calls as well. A man scheduled to ride the same bus told me that he was on the phone with dispatch and they will be sending the bus back to pick us up (6:35pm). Yay! The bus arrived. We boarded, and I sat in the first seat I saw (right behind the driver)... and then it started... the driver began making indirect comments about leaving on time, "waits for no one" type stuff. I didnt think too much of it until the driver began to nag on how she was put on a 5am route for the next day and she wanted to go home and sleep... maybe thats why she was speeding. She then made indirect comments on how she "should drive slow to piss HER off"... it doesnt stop there... she mocked me as I spoke on the phone, then proceeds to ask her friend sitting across from me "is girl on my back left still there?" -OK NOW I FIGURED SHES TALKING ABOUT ME! Her friend tells replies to her "yes" and the driver proceeds to say "Im not stopping in Lathrop. haha!" (which is my stop). Thats why I swooped in. Asked her who is her and her little friend hinting about. They both choked up and quiet down. Driver apparently had an issue with me because she chose to depart early and then get mad. Her driving was unacceptable. She was speeding. Used her horn 3 times and kept switching lanes because she wanted to go to sleep... to her son and daughter.. and her "boo"... and the boat and 2 trucks they own, not to mention shes sick and tired because she was forced to come back from workers comp for a "on-going" neck/back injury however plans on going camping soon to go jetskiing! yup. thats the kind of unprofessional chatty driver I had to deal with on my 2nd week. Horrible. I was glad to finally get off that bus and I hope to not have to deal with her again. The guy at 5:30am is nice :) he gets 4 stars from me. read more

My wife and I decided to ride a hopper instead of the Metro bus, that was a great big mistake! After walking about 1/2 mile over to Lincoln and Pershing, we found a bus sign on the corner mounted on the signal post, so assumed that it was a real bus stop. We then waited for over one hour, and finally the Hopper was coming down the street as I waved my arm, so driver could see me, she was slowing down, but then proceeded to just pass us on by, leaving us stranded there in an unfamiliar place. We had to walk about 3 miles to get back to our Apt. on a hot summer day. Anyone who is poor enough not to afford a car in America, is just considered trash anyway! We are both 65 years old, and THIS has never happened to us, NOT even in a third world country! It had to be one of the bad experiences of my life, and yes I was pissed off! What the heck kind of drivers do they hire at RTD? this colored lady driving that bus should have to experience this herself, then she would THINK next time about pulling tha damned shullte over to at least ask us if we needed a ride! Waiting 25 minutes for the #1 Hopper to arrive on March Lane on April 8, 2016 The bus stop is in plain sight in front of Valley First Bank. Hoppers are supposed to leave the Mall at 35 minutes after the hour. At exactly 1:29 here comes the Hopper, in the center lane Breezing by me like it's some stock car race. Why was it in the center lane? There are Hopper stops every 8 or 9 blocks on March Lane. This is the second time this happened to me, The first time, was route 2, and I had to walk home about 3 miles. Apparently these drivers are not well trained and have an attitude towards the public. The bus company id funded through transportation grants, so they get millions to spend on over paid drivers and brand new buses, but the riders don't matter a hoot! I never missed a bus in a third world country, and I did not even speak the language there. Something is just not right with the RTD! Being punished for NOT owning a car! read more
