Idk if it's new management, but as soon as were being sat down, we past a table full of the servers, waited a good 20 min or so until they brought us chips to start, and asked if we've been helped, I said no and then the lady went to tell the servers and it seemed as is they didn't want to come to our table, just didn't feel welcomed. Busy place, was seated after a 20 min wait, we have a group of 8 total. The waitress who seemed scared and overwhelmed came over after 13 min wait got our drinks relatively quickly, then we ordered. The food came out quickly but it spurts, half the table received theirs before the rest, maybe 6 min in between. I had the vegan bowl added cheese and shrimp, but it arrived without the cheese and I was charged $2 for it even after having to ask for the small amount that came. The portion was large and it was amazingly flavored and filling. I had a small margarita which was presented well. Wait time between food and being checked on was a little longer than I'd like, and the food is pretty pricey, But would try again in the area only if I was with a smaller group. Came here to eat with my family and the service was slow I ordered the enchilada ,burrito and taco plate and beware the burrito is covered in the red sauce too . It has been so long since we had been here because we had had a couple of not so good experiences, but this Thursday night we decided to give it a whirl again and both of us were very pleased with the improvements. First good sign was the horrible cleaning solution smell was gone! (and no worries- sanitation rating was solid). We were seated at a clean booth near the bathrooms but over looking the water. Service was terrific. Young Guy took very good care of us. I tried the Enchiladas Los Cabos, and Husband got the Beef Chimichangas. They are still doing free chips and salsa (unlike a lot of other places), and they were both good. Salsa tasted fresh and had a little kick to it. Meals came out pretty quickly and were both terrific. I couldn't believe all the seafood in mine! Menu had described these enchiladas as flour tortillas stuffed with avocado and queso fresco with a shrimp & scallop sauce. It was just the opposite. There were three flour tortillas FULL of seafood (yes shrimp and scallops, but I do believe some fish as well...all very good!) And there was even more seafood in the tasty sauce. Avocado and queso fresco were on top and on the side were a lot of greens and tomatoes with sour cream. I loved it and had enough left over for another meal the next day and it was good leftover as well. Husband was happy with his chimichangas. We both were pleased with flavor and quality improvements! As for the atmosphere, it was lively. In the back room where the bar is, we could hear a very fun-sounding birthday party happening. In the dining room, there were large and small groups of happy looking diners and cart-side guacamole was being made. Outside folks were basking in the sun around the pond with a fountain. Staff -hustling and smiling. And the prices were very reasonable, especially in these times of high costs everywhere. Very happy to be able to recommend this Mexican restaurant again! read more

I specifically asked for the street corn with hot Cheetos and received the regular street corn covered in tijan. Some friends and I ate lunch here today. Unfortunately, we won't be back. Why? We were charged a "Customer Assistance Fee" of 3%. What "assistance" am I paying for? My waiter/waitress? I thought I was supposed to leave a 15-20% tip for them. (Now, I did tip my waiter, but don't charge me a fee AND expect me to tip.) The food was good, as was the service. This restaurant is stealing workers tips if this is a standard practice. Have been going here for the last few years whenever wanting to get Mexican food. Have had some not great meals (like no consistency with the fish tacos) but today, I'm finally done with this place. There was a misunderstanding with the order I gave my waitress. the wrong meal was sent out, I advised the person who brought it to me that I ordered a different meal. I was then advised that the waitress would be held responsible for the cost of the meal that was sent out in error since. The manager came over and attempted to justify this. This is purely wage theft from the waitress/waiters working at this location. If anything, their is a clear lack of management since there are no defined processes in place to prevent this from occurring (like no requirement for waiters/waitresses to read back the order before sending it the kitchen). I lost my appetite. Waitress was great, manager and business practices are shady at best, illegal at worst. read more

The food is decent, but the service is awful. Our appetizer came out after our meal. When it arrived I told the employee (not our original server) we didn't want it since our food was already out. He seemed confused and said he would get someone else. She seemed nervous and walked away without saying anything. Finally, the manager came over and argued about how many minutes (??) elapsed between our food coming out and the appetizer. He then disappeared without a word and we didn't see him again. The waitress brought our check with the appetizer removed. No "Sorry about that" or anything. Popped in for an early Sunday dinner and we were seated right away. I love the high back booths in here and the menu is full of a variety of Mexican dishes. We ordered the Birria tacos. They were good but the onions on the tacos are excessive and overpowering. The Molcajete Azteca dish is literally a large bowl of chicken, steak, and shrimp. Although the dish is supposed to have cheese in it, mine didn't. Nonetheless, it was good. The guacamole is described as "fresh table side guacamole" so I was thinking they actually made the guacamole at the table side like I've experienced at other Mexican restaurants but that wasn't the case. Despite lackluster food, this place was jammed packed Friday evening. The shredded chicken taco salad was not appealing. The shredded chicken tasted like it was from a can and boiled. The dressing was watery. Essentially tasteless. Careful walking the greasy, slippery floor lest you fall and get hurt. The reservation for our group of 9 was honored. The place still lacks it in as there was a good crowd so I was surprised by the food preparation. The service was ok but they messed up the order with a steak entree rather than the Pollo la Paz. They corrected it relatively quickly once the server was convinced it was the wrong order. It was a little hard at first knowing which person was actually our server with 2 asking what we wanted and 1 serving the plates (typical to have a separate person deliver the plates) and another about to deliver the chips and salsa but saw we had some already from yet another person. The place itself is a bit noisy especially in the bar area so we stopped the host and asked to redirect to the dining area. The chicken in both entrees was greasy and the ACP had more grease than cheese on the plate. Not nearly as much cheese on it as other places. And, no side serving of flour tortillas with the ACP as with other places. They're opening up another location so apparently I'm in the minority when it comes to my taste in Mexican cuisine :-) If i were asked where to go for Mexican, this would not be my first choice to recommend. In fact it wouldn't even make my top 3, but the food tastes decent so if you aren't picky about how much grease is lying on your plate when you're done, go for it. read more

Picking up for a group of friends on last minute plans. Parking is a little interesting since they're behind the trampoline center but there's plenty of spaces available on a weekend. Ordered the Chicken, steak, carnitas, and Baja fish tacos to go and while waiting there were at least 15-20 people that were sat with little to no wait because they just sat themselves most of the time. There was constant traffic in and out. My orders took a little over 40 minutes. Eventually the host disappeared but the wait staff was able to cover temporarily. She only took two bites of them and wanted to get something else since they were very poor quality. Dipping sauce had no flavor either so she asked to speak with the manager to exchange them for something better since they were $15 and bland and he argued they don't do that and that because lots of people order them they must be good. The reviews online said otherwise. We spoke to him again and he still refused a replacement or refund. Cares more about his bottom line than customer satisfaction. She was very attentive, friendly and kind. The atmosphere was a mixture of family, friends and coworkers. The restaurant was very clean, all staff wore masks and were nice. The food was GREAT! I went to the Poyner Station location this past weekend. I was out shopping and decided to grab a bite to eat. I' seated i in a nice booth, given a menu and started my wait. 5 minutes go by, then 10. I see folks who had entered after me getting drinks and ordering their food. I'm confused but I'm hungry so I continue to wait. After 15 minutes I ask an employee walking past me. "Hey I've been waiting a a while May I order?" This butt face turns to me and said I'm not your server. I'm literally sitting in between the people she's serving!! I was embarrassed and still hungry.
