Dr. Fahim is probably the kindest, most attentive, and hardest working pediatrician in U.S. He is certainly the best doctor I've ever know. When we lived in the area we were blessed that he was our pediatrician, looking out for the well-being of our two young children. Whenever we had a concern, he was available either at his office or called us back without much delay. Often, after an office visit or call regarding a medical concern, he calls us back to follow up and see how we are doing. Entirely unprompted. I really don't understand how he does all that he does. When our daughter was born, he was at the hospital early in the morning every day to check on her despite his office being open 7 days per week and until 8pm every weeknight. I think he somehow squeezes in regular workouts too! I'm pretty sure he only gets 2-4 hours of sleep per night but somehow is still the most caring and pleasant person you could meet. We really enjoyed our time living in Dana Point, but Dr. Fahim is what we miss most since we moved. If you are looking for a new pediatrician, you should stop your search now and go to San Juan Pediatrics. If you don't love your current pediatrician, you should consider switching to Dr. Fahim. Dr.Fahim has been there for my child since day one right after he was born. He was kind enough to show up at the hospital and do his first check up and gave me instructions on how to follow up. My child is now almost 4 and ever since meeting him I do not regret picking him as my child's pediatrician. 5 stars is not enough! More like 100! He saved my daughters life. After taking her to the hospital after a accident, and the hospital said she was FINE! But dr Fahim knew in his gut she wasn't. ! He made a phone call for us on a Sunday and had a eye specialist open his office on a day off!!! Needless to say she was rushed in for emergency surgery to save her eye. If it wasn't for dr Fahim she would have lost her EYE! He called every week during the holidays to see how she was doing! I have 2 kids and Dr. Fahim has been there for them (and for us) since day one!! I cannot say enough about him and all the nurses! My kids have very different personalities and he makes it so easy for them to feel comfortable. Dr. Fahim deserves a saint award and more. I don't say this lightly: HE IS HEAVEN SENT. When our baby was first born and in the hospital, he rounded on baby nightly. Each nurse working with us revealed that of all the rounding physicians in the hospital, he was the most dedicated and available doctor not only to his patients but to the nursing staff as well. Our baby is currently three months old and since day of discharge to now, his office staff has always paged Doctor for all my "first time parents" concerns, assuring us the doctor would call us right back. Sure enough, everything from heat rash to a bumped head, to 2am low fevers, to questions about upcoming vaccines, Dr. Fahim called back with clear guidance, plan of care, and follow up instructions. The sign in front of his office reads "ALL insurance taken." As a healthcare professional myself, I have witnessed how insurance can dictate patient admission but not there. That is truly a indication of his oath to medicine and caring for the sick. My husband and I are deeply grateful for how much care and compassion Dr. Fahim shows to all his little patients and their concerned parents.
