what a scam, now charging 45.00 to mount a tire! That's 180.00 to have 4 tires mounted and not balanced!

A friend recommended your shop, and based on your great Google reviews, I decided to bring my car…read morein when my regular place couldn't get me in today. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing and left me feeling frustrated and disregarded. I arrived at 9 a.m. and spoke with Justin. I explained that my car was leaking orange fluid, which I suspected was coolant, although it wasn't overheating. Justin said they could look at it today and that depending on the issue, it might be fixable the same day. I made it clear that I really needed it looked at today because my son has a soccer tournament in Atlanta this weekend, and I didn't feel comfortable driving it until it was checked out. Justin acknowledged this, and I left my car with him. I waited nearly two hours for my ride while my car was briefly pulled into the bay (for about 15-20 minutes) and then parked back outside. After that, I heard nothing for the rest of the day. Between 2 and 3 p.m., I tried calling several times but couldn't reach anyone. Finally, around 3 p.m., someone named Mike answered and told me the shop was 2-3 days behind and that no one would be able to look at my car today. I was shocked, as this was never communicated to me earlier. If I had known that, I would not have left my car there and could have made other arrangements. When I mentioned this to Mike, he told me that it "seems like you really need your car" and that I could come pick it up. I asked why Justin hadn't told me this when I dropped it off, especially since I sat there for two hours. Mike said he wasn't my salesperson and that Justin had already left for the day. When I said I'd been trying to call for an hour, he replied that the phones had been ringing all afternoon. When I came to pick up my car, Mike was dismissive and unprofessional. He stood with his arms crossed, offered no apology, and repeatedly said it wasn't his fault. I asked to speak with someone in charge, but he told me no one was available and that I'd need to call the manager tomorrow. After I pressed the issue, he finally brought another staff member over and introduced me by saying, "This is the lady I told you was upset." The other employee explained that the mechanic had pulled my car in only to check whether the leak was oil-related, not coolant, and then parked it back outside. Overall, this situation could have been completely avoided with proper communication. If I had been told that the shop was 2-3 days behind when I dropped off the car, I would have made different plans. Instead, I spent the day waiting, unable to reach anyone by phone, and now had to rush to find a rental car so I could take my son to his tournament. I'm writing this not just to share my frustration but in hopes that this helps your team improve communication with customers. People understand that shops get busy, but being upfront and courteous goes a long way. I truly expected better based on your reputation and recommendation.

I've purchased tires, go in for tune-ups, big mechanical issues, and this time, brake work and oil change. They have always been very straight with me. I refer friends and neighbors to Gateway every time someone needs great service!

Let me start by saying we drove in with a large nail in our tire at 5:45 pm on a beautiful Tuesday afternoon -& they closed at 6; they did not hesitate nor frown- instead they respectfully said why Yes we will look at it. Dan& Bill were delightful, professional and respectful. They treated not only us but our 2013 car(yes, I said a 2013 but it is paid for, runs good and can fill up for $25 now) like we were getting a high priced job on a very new car. They simply repaired our tire, and said that is why they are there and told us to get home safely, all with a smile. I can't comment as I usually do on cleanliness (but it looked great) nor can I tell you if they take Apple Pay. Look, I did not visit the restroom nor am I aware of anything else. What I do know, they have customers for life no matter which car I am in! If you need tires, have a problem or simply need a plug- while there are other places near- do yourself a deserved treat and stop by- trust and believe, their smiles and professionalism is worth it! Let me reiterate, this all occurred within 15 minutes of their closing. Thank you Hermitage Tire Center-

Update- 4/29/24 Someone named Lee who is listed as a…read morebusiness owner of Firestone responded to my review by thanking me for the positive review and stating they hope to see me soon. This is an example of him reading not to comprehend and responding without compassion. The review wasn't very positive and I ended my original review stating that the relationship with Firestone has been soured and I'd probably never return. To him, that's positive and means they'll see me soon! Steer clear, there seems to be much more than car knowledge that they lack here. This will be an honest review of my most recent services with Firestone. The people that work there are awesome and it pains me to have to write this review. I have been a customer of Firestone since 1999, starting at the East Nashville location. And getting to know Chip and Tony pretty well. I started to frequent the Hermitage location in 2022, and the for most part, I've always had a pleasant experience. Craig was a breath of fresh air, and while Justin and I had a rough start, he's been amazing as of late. However, this is about some ongoing issues I had beginning in March of this year. I went in because during an oil change they told me that I needed to have an axle/ cv joint replacement. I returned to have this service completed and told them about a noise I'd been having when I accelerate. Justin said the issue may be the axle and cv joint and since they were replacing the noise should subside. When the repairs were completed, I was still hearing the noise and I returned on 3/10/26, to ensure they had completed the repair properly. Justin had them check and he came back and stated that upon inspection, that the issue was my two front wheel bearings. I went ahead and had one completed that day, and was still hearing the noise when accelerating. I returned that Friday on 3/13/26, and had the other one completed. However, upon completion, the car was still having the same issue. I reached out to Justin on Tuesday, 3/17/26 and explained to him that I was still having an issue with the noise. He told me to bring it back to have them check it, but I've been missing work, back and forth with this car, so I told him I would when I could. Justin was super nice about it and said, he would make it a priority when I was able to come. However, I ended up taking it to another mechanic. I explained to him the issue about the humming noise when accelerating. They checked and said both of my rear wheel bearings required replacing. They replaced both of the rear for $475.00 and I've not had the noise issue since. However, the front does vibrate sometimes, but not like before, so I am wondering if I ever needed the front's replaced and if they were properly replaced since there is still some vibration when accelerating. Overall, I ended up spending, $1,319.92 in a two week span and the issue was never resolved. Again, I'm not blaming Justin, but when I did ask, why was it that I was being told something different each time I came in, he stated that different mechanics do inspections differently. However, you would think all mechanics would check the same things, if that is the chief complaint. My car is now repaired, but this encounter has definitely soured my relationship with Firestone, as I no longer view them as a trusted partner. I think inspections should be the same across the board or as similar as possible to avoid these kinds of things and to find and correct the proper issue the first time. That wasn't my case and after being a loyal customer in both East Nashville and Hermitage for over 29 years, I'm not confident that I'd recommend Firestone to family and friends, or that I will continue to do business with them either.
