My two sons stopped by for slices today, and their experience at "San Remo Pizza" was disappointing. They were charged around $10.39 for three slices, and we later learned there was an additional charge for pepperoni. When I called the restaurant to ask, I was told that a whole pie would have cost only a little more, which would have been helpful to know up front. They also noted that the lady employee at the counter didn't feel very welcoming, and that the handling of money and food with the same gloves felt concerning from a hygiene standpoint. We believe good service means treating every customer, with respect regardless of age, and providing clear information about prices and options. Let me start by saying if you're in the mood for a good plain or pepperoni pie, I highly recommend San Remo! I ordered one pepperoni & one veggie pie this past weekend, and as always, the pepperoni was delicious. Unfortunately, the veggie pie was a big letdown. It had no sauce, way too much unmelted, chunky cheese, and the vegetables were simply tossed on. It ended up tasting bland and unfinished. So I ordered a large cheese pie and a chicken gyro last night Friday 11.8.24. It cost $26.39. It's hardly worth the price. The Pizza is very thin and light, not much substance to it. The bottom of the Pizza is very plain no coarseness to it, very dull. The chicken gyro was very disappointing. They use a flat pita instead of a pocket or pouch type. The chicken was very bland, no good flavor and boy are they cheap hardly any chicken in it at all. Looks like they fill it with mostly shredded iceberg lettuce, not much onion and mushy tomato pieces. Boy are they cheap with the Tziki sauce, hardly any to be found. The Pizza was not even cut evenly, both wide and narrow slices. I guess the guy behind the counter with dark glasses and hair in the red shirt is the owner. In my opinion he's not doing the right thing. The portions are very skimpy, not enough on the plate. I noticed a man and his son sitting and eating while I was there. It looked like spaghetti on there plates, just looked very skimpy in size and cheap. There's better Pizza places out there, just not in Woodbridge. read more

San Remo pizza is outstanding! I work in Woodbridge, and when we have pizza delivered to the office we only order from San Remo's, because our whole staff unanimously agrees that it is fantastic! Everything about it is fresh - - the cheese, the sauce, the pizza dough, and the toppings! Every ingredient is flavorful. Delivery is fast and the pizza arrives hot. Matt, the driver, is always personable and friendly. So far I have only had pizza from San Remo's, but I hear all the dishes are great, and I look forward to trying more food there soon. read more

Hey hey my fellow Adventurers! I have been coming here since I legit was a little baby. I attended the ballet classes at Across the Floor when it was in the original location further up the street. My grandmother and I would meet my aunt for a few slices of pizzas as well as bonding time. They're pizza is always the best in the area. I don't care what anyone says, Pino's is good for other things but I will always go here for pizza. Service is usually awesome, however a few times they could only accept cash (normally on my break & no cash on me) they should post a sign on the door. There have been a few customers that are shady, mainly because they harass females but otherwise it's a family friendly pizza place. This is a mall place, with not a lot of seating but delicious pizza. Clearly I love the pizza. Go here if you want a really tasty slice and for the owner, Joe to ask you how you are. read more

Well, these were the worst meatballs I've had in a while. Mushy, no flavor, just all kinds of wrong. Sauce was good, so someone knows how to cook, but can't make a meatball. The cheesesteak pizza I got was ok, nothing special. I thought the crust was a little too large, like they didn't put enough toppings toward the edge of the pie. Also tried the Nona pie, and gotta say NO to that. The mozz cheese slices were thick and weird- tasted ok, but odd sensation chewing it. Again, excellent sauce. Overall, nothing I got was worth every eating again so it's 1 and done for me. read more

Was here with the family the other day. As we where enjoying the pizza and the wings, (awesome wings) pizza ok. My mind got lost in all the dirt and grime that's ok n the walls doors trims.. They need to do something about this in order to regain new customers I been here many times before and I been going to the old spot by the old Pathmark in hopelawn. Note to the owner: Clean the dirty walls and trim it's disgusting.. $100 in paint goes a long way but the right way is cleaning with bleach that door with all that black dirt that don't just happen that been there for years.. And the soda machine?? Looks pretty rundown I bet it has slime.. not being disrespectful but a little TLC and the food will actually taste better.. people eat with their eyes... read more

So I moved from NYC to Woodbridge and thought I would have to miss a few things like NY pizza but no. I first tried San Remo on a whim with a single slice on the go. Delicious. Grabbed a menu on the way out and about a month later my daughter and i ordered a Hawaiian pizza and garlic knots. The order was so fast that i asked if the pizza was freshly made. The delivery guy was nice, laughed and assured me it was. He was right and the food was very fresh and delicious and still hot. Wow. Two months later we decided to give San Remo another try and ordered a large plain pie with tomatoes, pepperoni, and extra sauce, a side of garlic knots and since I was feeling adventurous I added a sausage roll. Oh my God, that sausage roll was the best. The pie was again fresh and delicious. And again delivery was very fast. The delivery guy was very polite. I will not deduct anything from this review and will continue to support San Remo as a local business, but if the owner reads this I do suggest that your order takers not be do hasty when taking orders. The person was ok but she did not even take my name, just my order, address and card number and hung up so fast. Not very patient, she could have been better. Not a deal breaker though, I love the food and will continue to order or even visit. read more

I'm so happy that we have a great local pizza place. I love supporting our neighbors, especially when they're so good :) I have yet to write a review though I've ordered there dozens of times. I always order an extra large thin crust pepperoni pizza- done perfectly every time. Super yummy and the dough is never heavy (which pizza chains are often guilty of). The mozzarella tomato salad app is also delicious and really refreshing when hot out. I've ordered the eggplant parm in the past and also really enjoyed it. And the calamari (thought not cheap) is really great too. San Remo is my go to pizza place in Woodbridge. read more

My family has been eating pizzas here for over 43 years we used to frequent the location on main when we wanted delivery or the old location at Path mark when we went grocery shopping. Me and my brother grow up with the family their kids would be at the restaurant after school and later went on to taking orders. I ended up moving away in 2006, and so missed the regular orders from here and whenever I would visit my family I made sure to enjoy food here. Everything from the calzones, to pizzas, to pasta dishes are delicious. Even the subs and salads are favorites, delivery was also pretty good maybe a pie or two didn't arrive right but then a quick call and it was replaced or credited. Great family owned restaurant and my only sad memory is that of those supplier times as a kid hanging out in a booth enjoying a cold soda and slice when you just popped in. Always consistent thin NY style pizzas with all the toppings you could think of as well as great Italian dishes! Never had a problem dining in or when picking up. Now I just wish the drivers could be as consistent ;) but I'm sure that's the way it goes. read more
