I love the way they make their pizza!!! The service is fast and the employees are in there HUSTLING. They are a well oiled machine. The staff is very friendly and the ambiance feels very family owned. Sorry everyone I was so excited and hungry I didn't even take a picture of my amazing pepperonipizza pie

The internal battle I had to leave this review. I LOVE SAN Remo, been going here since I was a child and they were in Pathmark. The first time I try something different and just order green peppers on my pizza expecting a light sprinkle for a little extra something. My pizza was soggy and more peppers than pizza stick to plain or pepperoni

Just ordered pizza and this pizza didn't get dropped by me but this is how I received pizza.... Everyone please open your boxes before you bring home

So I ordered a large cheese pie and a chicken gyro last night Friday 11.8.24. It cost $26.39. It's hardly worth the price. The Pizza is very thin and light, not much substance to it. The bottom of the Pizza is very plain no coarseness to it, very dull. The chicken gyro was very disappointing. They use a flat pita instead of a pocket or pouch type. The chicken was very bland, no good flavor and boy are they cheap hardly any chicken in it at all. Looks like they fill it with mostly shredded iceberg lettuce, not much onion and mushy tomato pieces. Boy are they cheap with the Tziki sauce, hardly any to be found. The Pizza was not even cut evenly, both wide and narrow slices. I guess the guy behind the counter with dark glasses and hair in the red shirt is the owner. In my opinion he's not doing the right thing. The portions are very skimpy, not enough on the plate. I noticed a man and his son sitting and eating while I was there. It looked like spaghetti on there plates, just looked very skimpy in size and cheap. There's better Pizza places out there, just not in Woodbridge.

I was in Jersey a few weeks ago visiting my family and decided to have pizza before heading back to Miami. It was pretty late So I went on Yelp to see which places were still open and this one had the better review. I'm glad that I followed it, I ordered over the phone and they had my pizza ready by the time I got there. The pizza was fresh and it had a classic fresh taste to it, I didn't finish it all because I probably would've ended up regretting it but if I could've I would've. So glad I got to try this place and will definitely come back on my next visit

I can't believe I grew up here and this is the first time I've had san remos. I guess I really dropped the ball because I've been missing out on this amazing pizza all these years. I'm might be as bold to say thats its better than strawberrys and bennys too. Id like to thank the staff for pushing me to try this place, was definitely worth it.

Initially, wood fired pizza was my draw here and the server mentioned that 12" sizes are available despite not listed on the menu. Thankfully, another server saw me waiting and waiting to place my order. Only 2 servers and the place was surprisingly busy so service was lacking in addition to the disappointing execution of my meal. I played it safe, I thought, and ordered the mixed veggie salad with salmon. The salad was a pathetic array of about 6 Boston lettuce leaves and then an inordinate amount of sloppily sliced red onions, way too many capers, and drowned in a tasteless vinegarette all served on a huge platter. Maybe a nice place to grab a happy hour drink ...but too much competition for food in the area to dine here.

When the extra item was found on the bill there was a bit of a dispute and back and forth but they fixed it in the end. The wrong dish was a compromise on our party's part, one of our friends accepted the plate even though it was not what she ordered, there was no move to fix it on the restaurant's part. As far as the food, it was not my top Italian choice in the area, especially when factoring in price. We were brought downstairs to a large room full of tables and were the only ones in there. We wondered if we'd insulted someone, or if one of us might be 'offensive', (no one was) but as it turns out, it was a 'Godsend'. We're all in our 70's and hearing/speaking can be challenging in a crowded/noisy dining room. We remained the only ones there for almost the entire 2 hours we were there and really enjoyed ourselves without having to yell or ask "WHAT!?" We shared a couple of salads (Greek and Arugula) and calamari, all very good. My wife had the seafood capellini and one sister the seafood fra diavolo, which they both enjoyed. My other sister had a seafood salad and my BIL went for the double cut pork chops, which he too enjoyed. I opted for the Halibut / risotto. Halibut is not an easy fish to make 'moist or juicy'. I make it at home and it comes out 'pretty good' (at least my wife says so) but here, this portion was fantastic! So light an flaky and tasty. Definitely give it a try if you enjoy Halibut. We all shared a couple of desserts... a home made carrot cake and a chocolate cake from 'outside'. Both good, but the carrot cake was served warm, which was a first for all of us... and it was terrific! Without a doubt the best carrot cake we'd ever had, so save a little room for their carrot cake if/when go. Our servers, Alyssa and Dagmar provided excellent service as well as some humorous dialogue while we were there. Made our meal just that much better!. Yes... it's a BYOB!

And surprisingly, this happened to be a very well known restaurant as our other coworkers knew about it! It's located across of CubaNu Restaurant & Lounge on the corner of Lewis St and Main St in downtown Rahway. There's paid street parking and parking garages around the area. My coworker and I shared their Calamari Al Forno, tossed with Italian sausage, hot cherry pepper, and balsamic glaze. And wow. Who would have thought balsamic glaze with calamari would be sooooo good! I'll definitely be ordering that combination again. The mix with the Italian sausage and cherry peppers added a nice kick to the dish. Both of us could not stop eating it even though we wanted to save room for our pastas. Our meal was off to a great start! I ordered their Linguini de Mar which was supposed to have four seafoods: shrimp, calamari, mussels, and clams. Unfortunately, mine was missing the calamari. However, the pasta was incredibly flavorful and the seafood was cooked perfectly - not overdone or underdone at all. YUM! My coworker got their Cheese Ravioli with the Bolognese sauce (unsure if it was extra as I didn't see the check). She loved her pasta as well! She's usually a light eater, but she devoured half the calamari appetizer and all of her pasta, which speaks volumes about how much she enjoyed the meal. I felt that the one downside was the unusual amount of water I drank (maybe ten cups?). This was my own personal indicator that there was definitely some sort of flavor enhancer which wasn't a negative thing. I'm not certain, but the food was very good, so kudos to them if that's the case. Overall, definitely a hidden gem! We unfortunately didn't try their pizzas/pies but this will definitely be on my list again the next time I visit. Or I may opt in for another round of calamari al forno and pasta again, haha!

Great experience overall.
