It's disheartening to see a local restaurant, one that's been part of our community for so long lose sight of what made people support them in the first place: great food and genuine service. As local businesses struggle to stay open, I truly hoped Oakwood Pizza would rise to the occasion, not fall behind. When I called the restaurant to ask, I was told that a whole pie would have cost only a little more, which would have been helpful to know up front. They also noted that the lady employee at the counter didn't feel very welcoming, and that the handling of money and food with the same gloves felt concerning from a hygiene standpoint. We believe good service means treating every customer, with respect regardless of age, and providing clear information about prices and options.
