Mozz In Carrozza

Angelina's is such a cute spot with beautiful decor! We stopped in around 7:30 on a Wednesday for drinks and some light bites. Unfortunately, the service was very slow -- we waited along time for someone to come over. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time. That said, the appetizers were delicious and the pizza was excellent!

Angelina's is a cute relatively new place in Woodbridge. It's a very cute vibe with a great outdoor dining area. Unfortunately I feel like they focus so much on the aesthetic that the actual food and service falls to the wayside. The menu felt a bit limited and everything we tried was just decent. The service also left room for improvement. We were constantly trying to find our waitress and it took forever to even place our orders. I would give it another try but not for a major event. Maybe just for a midday lunch or drink with a friend.

A large venue that sits in its own lot, so plenty of free parking. Bright modern glass interior. Friendly staff, the owner, Angelina herself came over and spoke with us. Such a sweet Woman. Service was just the right speed, food was well prepared and well presented. We had the Arancini & Potato Croquettes & the Bee Sting (pizza). Everything was great. Had an apple martini at the bar, perfectly prepared. Definitely worth the the trip and would come back. Grades: Arancini & Potato Croquettes: B Bee Sting: A Apple Martini: A

Short and simple: good pizza, but not worth the price point. We visited on a Tuesday with a party of 6 for a birthday. We got seated immediately and the ambiance was quite welcoming! The service was good and so was the pizza - the sheet pie was better than the regular in our opinion. Service was good, but food did take a while to come out so something to be mindful about if you're on a time constraint!

They offer authentic Sicilian dishes and have a bar. Perfect atmosphere for a family, Night out with friends or a date night. There's a large bar, high tops and many tables in the back. There are plenty of options on the cocktail list. We had a hard time deciding but we all enjoyed what we got. The fragolina was not too sweet. We went with the octopus salad, One cold and one hot, Carozza, and a green salad. Everything was very flavorful. I ordered the wild boar pasta. The meat was tender and the sauce was just the right amount of tomato and meat. We finished our meal with tiramisu and the warm chocolate cake. I'm sure everything would have been delicious.

Ambiance was classy, went here on a double date and it fit the vibe. The service was average, although credit for handling everyone's dietary restrictions and letting us stay till they closed. My friend is gluten free and loved the gluten free pasta and pizza. I on the other hand loved the regular mushroom sausage pasta as well - it was unique and delicious. The regular crust margarita pizza was average or not as memorable.

Stopped in for lunch at Angelina's in Woodbridge. And it was amazing. The restaurant was beautifully decorated. They have a full bar lots of cocktails to choose from, plenty of seating, outdoor too. What an awesome vibe. Jasmine our server was fantastic. She was super attentive. The meatball appetizer was hot and delicious. Needed a little more sauce but was still tasty. Ordered a Rustica pizza: fior di latte mozzarella, tomato sauce, pork sausage, spicy soppresata & mushrooms, WOW the picture does it no justice. Will definitely go back and highly recommend if you're in the area.

My first time here and I can't wait to come back! Everything we had was absolutely delicious and the server made great recommendations since it was our first time. Nice for a date night or dinner with friends. Some of my favorites were the spicy vodka gnocchi, montanara fritta, and the frittura di calamari.

Heyyyyyyyyy you guyyyyyyyyys! Stopped in for a quick bite and had a dirty tini while I waited. Ordered a margarita pizza with garlic oil. Mixology was good, bartender was friendly. The decor is so warm, inviting, outdoor seating available. Staff is friendly and welcoming! Overall great, good eats and will def be back.

I've had the opportunity to dine at Angelina's twice--once at a table and once at the bar. The food on both occasions was great. The pastas, in particular, were fantastic, and they definitely don't skimp on the cheese. The pizza was a little underdone for my liking, but that would have been my only complaint. I found the service to be better when seated at a table compared to the bar, but overall, both experiences were enjoyable.

My mom and I came to Angelina's Kitchen late on a Wednesday night after traveling and needing some delicious sustenance. They close at 10, we arrived at 9. You will get the bare minimum of service at some places when you come an hour before closing, but everyone we came across at Angelina's was friendly and attentive. We received service with a smile at every turn. The decor here is really soothing, modern but has an old school flair, lots of greenery (fake, but that's understandable and If you don't look too hard you can convince yourself otherwise). It reminds me of the style California has been doing for years but is comparatively new on the east coast. The food! Well, when the complimentary bread came out it looked so special I thought for sure it was our appetizer. The bread was good, like a foccacia type, but wasn't very flavorful. It's served with a little ball of ricotta but again, a bit bland. I would have preferred some salted butter or seasoned olive oil to put on it, but hey, it's complimentary so they can do whatever they want and I'll eat it! Our actual appetizer was the Montanara Frita- which is basically a fried ball of dough with prosciutto, and stracciatella cheese melted over top with a drizzle of honey... this was like a carnival! The fried dough and slight sweetness reminiscent of a zeppole but then you had the savory elements... it sounds strange but I promise you it's magnificent. The pasta is homemade and you can tell- it's the perfect texture. I ordered the Busiata Norma I love a good Norma pasta (red sauce with roasted eggplant) and it did not disappoint. Mom got pollo caprese a nice simple dish of pan fried chicken cutlets, fresh cherry tomatoes and burrata. They achieved the ultimate crispness with this chicken and it was seasoned to perfection. The burrata ball that came with the dish was on the smaller side, so a little less creamy than expected. Overall we really enjoyed our meals and thought it was well run. I know a lot can change from day to night. I wonder if some of the more negative reviews are for issues that are occurring during peak times that will be ironed out as the restaurant settles in. I also hear a lot of people saying it's pricey, but honestly you could tell when you are dining there that the food you are eating is top quality and much of it is handmade like the pasta and special doughs. I'll be back for more!

Peach Bellini Martini and Tuna Tartare

Today I stopped in to check out the new Angelina's kitchen in Woodbridge New Jersey. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and has the perfect Italian music playing in the background. Everyone there was very friendly and inviting. I chose to just have a small knish at the bar and I chose very well! Pedro recommended the peach martini, which were quite different, was very refreshing. An excellent summer cocktail! Then I chose to have a tuna tartare. The tuna was amazingly fresh, citrus, marinated, placed on an avocado bed. I will go back this weekend for dinner with my family and will update my review.

Food is excellent. Ambience is so pretty, especially at Christmas time. Drinks a little expensive but that's pretty typical most places.

From what I've heard, it usually gets packed during peak sports seasons--but we happened to hit a lull (post-football, pre-baseball, and no major games on), so we basically had the place to ourselves. That actually worked in our favor--the quieter atmosphere made it easy to relax and enjoy conversation without the usual sports bar chaos. Drinks were a highlight. I went with the sangria, which was refreshing and well-balanced. Instead of ordering full entrees, we decided to share a bunch of appetizers. Everything that came out looked great, and everyone in the group seemed really happy with the flavors. As someone with a gluten allergy, though, I was pretty limited in what I could order. The ribs ended up being one of my only real options--but thankfully, they were tender, flavorful, and definitely the standout for me. Still, I do wish there were more gluten-free choices, especially since we were there to celebrate and share food. One thing that stood out (in a not-so-great way) was that we felt a bit rushed toward the end of the meal. We didn't even get the chance to order a birthday dessert, which was disappointing given the occasion, but seeing since it was only our group there I'm sure they were ready to close and go home. Service overall was attentive and friendly while we were dining, so no complaints there otherwise. It was winter when we visited, but I can see this being a great spot in warmer months--the outdoor seating looks like it would really add to the experience. Parking was easy on a Sunday night, and they do have a lot, but make sure to read the signs carefully since some spots are reserved for the theater next door. Overall it has a great vibe, solid drinks, and food that people clearly enjoy--I just wish there were more gluten-free options so I didn't leave still a little hungry.

The place definitely looks good and has a vibe to it. However, everything felt a bit overpriced for me. We went for brunch, and the first thing presented to us was a buffet-style option. I actually had to ask questions just to find out there was a regular brunch menu available. The drinks were honestly a bit absurd, ranging from $17 to $28. On top of that, the music was so loud that we could barely hear our waitress, which took away from the experience. The food itself was good, but nothing really stood out as amazing. Everything was just... good. I also mentioned that we were celebrating a birthday, but somehow everyone around us received a big birthday celebration, while we didn't. When I ordered dessert, I even had to ask for a candle because it wasn't offered, which was a little disappointing considering what we saw happening at other tables.I originally found this place on TikTok and wanted to see if the vibe matched what I saw online, but honestly, it didn't hit the same for me. Upon getting there, it is a nice Marina bar that has a grave a lot. We walked shortly from the parking lot and got seats of the bar right away. There was a good amount of people there for a Saturday afternoon. However, we were helped right away. Their beer prices are pretty phenomenal in my opinion. The selection I think is pretty good too. We were speaking with one of the people behind the bar and they said the plan is to also have food trucks here eventually as well for a food option. There is ample seating here as you can see from some of the pictures I took and the two staff we talked to were very friendly. One thing that could be a pro or a con depending on your disposition is that this is an outdoor bar. There are a lot of fans going and it has a very nice breeze. How over on a hot day where something loose and breathable. However, in the spring and fall I can imagine this place having a big crowd because it seems like a really nice place to have a drink and hang out. All in all. If you're local, I would definitely come check this place out. We will definitely be back in the future.
