Today, Roselia completely changed my mind. As soon as she looked at my feet, she noticed how narrow they are and explained that the sandals simply needed to be adjusted properly. She took the time to carefully adjust every strap until they fit exactly as they should. The difference was incredible. Once everything was adjusted, they were as comfortable as everyone says they are. I ended up purchasing my first pair of Birkenstocks, and thanks to Roselia, I know they won't be my last. Roselia never made me feel rushed and genuinely wanted to make sure I found the right fit. She is knowledgeable, patient, and attentive--exactly the kind of employee every retailer hopes to have. The redesign was not needed IMO, but it does feel more open which is nice so you don't feel cramped walking around others. There's usually some good deals if you are patient. On one of my visits earlier in the year I found a newer modem for $60 that was marked down from $150. Amazon had for $160. On my most recent visit, Pillowfort brand items were 25% off. They make really cute decorations for kids' rooms. They also have a line of popular weighted stuffed animals (vary from 2-3lb). Full disclosure, our house has at least 8 different Pillowfort weighted animals sitting around. The kids and our cat loves them...and I enjoy the feeling of them on my legs or chest when relaxing. The grocery area has many of the items you will find at other supermarkets but you can find discounted chicken breasts and butcher items here within a few days of their pull date. If you get the Target card, you get 5% back on all of your Target purchases as well as help Target donate money to schools and charities.

Another issue I continue to have at Walmart is the payment terminals not accepting my inserted card. There is no option to tap, so I have to reinsert my card numerous times until it allows me to swipe my card. The employees at the self-checkout are not helpful and just stand there watching you struggle. Even when you need help, they don't want to come over. I hope their registers are fixed or they add tap to pay to make it easier.

I prefer Target mainly because of their well lighted parking lot. As I was shopping, I noticed someone staring at me. It was a Hispanic man in his mid-twenties, dressed all in black with a black beanie. He had no shopping cart and nothing in his hands. Right away, I got a bad vibe. I then called my husband, and the man noticed. He walked away while continuing to keep his eyes on me. I then went to self-checkout and asked if someone could walk me out. The lady at self-checkout reported the incident to higher-up. Someone else then came to speak with me and walk me out. While asking me about the situation, he asked if I was the one who called customer service. That made me realize I wasn't the only person who had reported this suspicious man. Thank you to Walmart for helping me with the situation and walking me out to my car. The employee even helped me with my groceries and waited until I drove away before going back inside. I truly appreciate the way Walmart handled the situation and made sure I felt safe.

The shoes were in perfect condition, with the tags and receipt, and there was absolutely nothing wrong with them. When he attempted to return them, the employee acted as though they no longer accepted shoe returns. My husband has an accent and is not originally from this country, and the way he was treated made us very uncomfortable and concerned that he was being treated differently because of that. I called the store afterward to clarify the return policy and was assured that there was no policy preventing them from accepting a return on shoes. Then traveled out of the country. Before leaving, a manager had assured us that they would take care of the situation when we returned. Unfortunately, by the time we came back, we were outside the return window for receiving the money back on the original payment method. The new manager we dealt with was not understanding or considerate of the situation. In fact, she told us that even the store manager might not be able to do anything, but that manager would not be back for another five days. After everything that had happened, we were left wondering what the purpose of waiting another five days would be. We ultimately accepted store credit just to resolve the situation and move on. Then, as we were leaving, we could see the three employees together through the window, laughing shortly after our interaction. Whether they were laughing about us or not, that is certainly how it appeared, and it was incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful. This entire situation could have been handled so easily with basic communication, understanding, and customer service. Instead, it became a frustrating experience from beginning to end. Nordstrom has a reputation for taking care of its customers. Unfortunately, this particular experience was the complete opposite. I sincerely hope management reviews what happened, because every customer deserves to be treated with respect and dignity--regardless of their accent, background, or how they communicate.

I love ginger chews and will come here on Tuesdays when I remember as they give senior (55+) discount of 10% which is a very generous offer in my opinion. Besides ginger chews, I've gotten massage rollers, weights, weighted vest, slack/skirt hangers, and doggie bowls and of course snacks! Every employee I've encountered at this store has been super friendly and courteous. There is plenty of parking in the lot.

I was so busy shopping that I completely forgot to take pictures which is a first for me! I ended up finding a gorgeous black jacket with beautiful gold trim and it's absolutely stunning. It has that polished elevated look that makes a simple outfit feel luxurious. And apparently I have to go back in a couple months to use the next $75 credit:) even without the credit, this is definitely a store to splurge on something special. The service was fine, nothing memorable but the selection and quality made for a very enjoyable shopping experience.
