parking was very easy to find, inside was spacious with lots of seating, clean and a big outdoor area as well. I got the biscoff milk cake, adeni chai & honeycomb. The milk cake was so good, super moist it just melts in your mouth. The Honeycomb & adeni chai were good too. As I was leaving I saw a picture of their iced pistachio latte, need to come back for that one. Looked really good. Service was good too & they had a tv showing the world cup game so that was a plus for me

We are looking for a nearby coffee place and this showed up as the closest place and we checked it out! Love the ambience and the vibes inside! The staff is super friendly and fun! My husband ordered a flavored latte and loved it! I really wanted to try a tea, but I was so full from dinner and definitely wanna come back What I love most of this place is open very late, which is very rare for the area. So it's nice to find a place as open past 9 PM that you can just hang out have a nice pastry or coffee or tea.

Pastries are amazing! Ordered the pistachio latte and jalapeño honeycomb this morning and was pretty happy. Strong pistachio flavor to the latte, almost like they added a pistachio butter in. Was a bit sweet, but flavors were good. The jalapeño honeycomb bread was great. Good balance of spice from the jalapeño with the cream cheese, then a bit of sweetness from the honey drizzle. Didn't eat in, so can't speak to the service or ambiance, but would try their pastries again.

Finally made it here after countless recommendations, and it totally lived up to the hype. The vibes are immaculate--bright, uplifting, and welcoming. Service was fast and top-notch, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered the chicken musakhan, potato fatayer, pistachio baklava, and adeni chai. While the food was ok, the overall experience and atmosphere really stole the show. So excited to see so many new halal cafés opening up--this one is definitely worth checking out!

this place was super busy when I went! they have great drinks and food. we got the iced yemeni coffee and the iced dirty chai as well as the pistachio latte. I really liked the pistachio latte because it wasn't too much or too sweet. for food we got baklava and honeycomb and this was my first time having honeycomb. it was like if monkey bread and bagels had a baby with cream cheese. baklava was delicious. the place is great for watching the world cup games right now and I saw a lot of people studying. they're also open late!

Amazing coffees, haven't tried the pastries yet! Post lunch, we stopped by for an afternoon pick-me-up. Sana'a Cafe has tempting baked goods, Arabic and Yemeni coffees and espressos and flavored lattes. Arabic Light Roast - This was light, not what I'd typically expect from coffee because it doesn't have any of that chocolatey feel, it's really bright and light in texture and leaves you with a clean, mind clarifying feel. It looks like a "clear" coffee if there is such a thing. It's a good drink, probably not the flavor profile I'd reach for but I can see why people would get this. Mofawar (Medium Roast w/ Cardamom and Cream) - This one had some grittiness to the texture and just a touch of cream to smooth out the strong coffee. I really liked this one and would drink it with or without sugar. My friend got this so I just got a taste, but I will be getting this next time. Pistachio Latte - This was milky smooth with good pistachio taste. Easy drinking, not overly sweet (you can add more sugar if you want). I'd get it again. Sana'a also has Refresher drinks (Mango Passionfruit, Kiwi Dragon Fruit, Mango Watermelon, Mojioto, Strawberry Lemonade, etc.), Smoothies, hot tea and cakes and pastries. They make your coffee fresh as you can see them pouring your cup out of just heated small metal pots. Their hot coffees are served steaming hot so give them a few minutes to cool down before you start sipping. They have a number of seats so you can sit and hang out with your friends and have a talk. There is plenty of parking in the plaza. I will be back to try some other drinks!

I've been meaning to try this spot and I'm so happy we finally visited. I hear Sanaa is huge in Beverly Hills and for good reason! The pastries display is so tempting and everything we ordered was so good and not too sweet- much appreciated. The pistachio cheesecake was heavenly- smooth, creamy, just enough sweetness and the crust was perfect. I love the rose petals on top and pistachio bits in it as well. The baklava was just as expected- sweet and delicious with a perfectly crispy and flaky exterior. We also ordered the spinach pastry, and that was my favorite one actually. You'll have to try it. Lots of spinach and had a nice flavor. I also tried their honey lavender latte and it was also good. I'd definitely revisit in the future and recommend stopping in if you're in the area.

The saffron milk cake had a delicate, aromatic sweetness that didn't feel overpowering, and the rose milk cake had a subtle floral flavor that was done really well--not artificial or too strong. The iced pistachio latte tied everything together perfectly. Creamy, slightly nutty, and refreshing without being overly sweet. Honestly, everything we tried was a 10/10. If you're into unique flavors and well-executed desserts, this spot is absolutely worth the drive.

This will be short and sweet. Things i liked: - They have a nice, large outdoor seating area. - Adheni Chai was solid -Biscoff milk cake was spectacular! Things i did not like; just one, inside is kind of crampy but it's an odd shaped retail footprint so they're making lemonade. Lots of parking, decent location and open late. Great establishment!

The Adeni chai was great mA along with the honey comb bread (I think that's what it's called). Friendly customer service and the best part...they had the Quran playing instead of music making it such a calming environment. Bless the owners and this establishment. It's in the same plaza as M Cafe (Persian restaurant) so get your kubideh fix and head on over to get some good coffee/tea and perhaps some yummy pastries. read more

Chic new coffee shop in Lake Forest! It's nice to see a coffee shop open that's not a Starbucks or another franchise. The service was very good- they made recommendations that were so delicious and they brought our order in these beautiful trays. We ordered a Yemeni tea which was not too sweet but you can taste that it was strong too. They had so many flavors of cake but we got the biscoff flavor which was so good and fresh! But the simple honeycomb was my favorite because it had cheese in it! read more

Staffs are very welcome and friendly. First time trying Yemen coffee. Probably not my favorite due to too many spices, but it is an experience. Tried out the baklava with walnut and with pistachio. both are good. The place is very specious, clean, and well decorated. Would recommend to try this place out if you have not had Yemen coffee. read more

This place is my newest obsession! Sooo many delicious drinks and pastry options-- more than I've seen at any other shop. I've tried the Iced Pistachio Latte (10/10) and the Iced Sana'a Latte with oat milk (10/10), both of which were perfect. The owner was also kind enough to give me a sample of the mofawar coffee which is the best I've ever tried. Plenty of parking, beautiful decor, outdoor seating, and very clean facility. i've been here multiple times, and the men who work here are extremely rude, when i went with a guy they only asked him how the drink was when i was sitting right by him. i feel like it's definitely because i am not middle eastern and i'm not muslim. i'm polite with them every time I go here, so it's very strange. they have good matcha but i will not be going back because of their strange attitude towards me. read more

I'm fairly new to the area and when my midday coffee craving kicked in, Sana'a was the first suggestion to pop up. Curious to try a new coffee shop, and a Yemeni one no less, I headed over. The interior is absolutely beautiful! So bright and aromatic as soon as you step in. The staff were the same, super helpful and friendly. There's plenty of coffee and desserts to choose from. Everything from your typical latte, cappuccino, americano, to more traditional Yemeni drinks that have an abundance of flavor. I tried the pistachio latte and it was beyond delicious! Super rich and creamy! It wasn't overpoweringly sweet nor bitter. It had the right amount of pistachio flavor. Hands down, the best pistachio latte I've had. Since "discovering" this place, I've been back to try other drinks and some desserts and I haven't been disappointed by any means! Sana'a is a such a gem. They got a loyal customer for sure. read more

The food, service, and ambiance were beautiful. My only suggestion would be for them to use cafe music instead of loud dance music because it's hard to study to loud dance music. Middle Eastern instrumentals only music would be ideal. Really nice and generous staff and very comfortable indoor and outdoor seating with many outlets for those who want to get work done. A little disappointed with my experience. Came in 12/19/24 around 6 pm and ordered a hot Turkish coffee. The woman worker handed me the hot coffee but did not shut the lid all the way. As expected, the hot coffee spilled on both of my hands and the lady did not seem to care at all. Maybe she was embarrassed but her coworker cared more than she did. read more

Absolutely amazing. By far the best coffee shop in Southern California! If you want real Turkish coffee come here and I also had the pistachio latte which was absolutely amazing. Maybe one of the best coffees I've ever had in my life. On top of all of that we had three desserts. Pistachio milk cake, Rose milk cake and almond croissant and all three were amazing. You can tell they use fresh ingredients. Nothing like anything I've experienced in Southern California where everything is fake. This is the place to go if you want a good cup of coffee and a good dessert and also they do have Turkish fatayers that are supposed to be delicious. Try this place and thank me later! read more

So happy I stumbled upon this cafe on a work visit to Lake Forest. This is a great stop to do remote work, grab delicious Yemeni coffee, and pick from a variety of sweet and savory pastries. We went this morning, and the guy there was so friendly and its so obvious that he's excited with having us there. The moment we came in, there was good music that created a really cool vibe. The chairs were really nice and elegant too! Pastries looked really good! A bunch of pistachio and creamcheese pastries My husband got a tea, and i got a pistachio latte! SUPER GOOD! Fantastic. Superb coffee shop with many choices. Has a lively yet relaxed atmosphere till late night. 1am on weekends. 11pm normally. The perfect alternative to Starbucks, which many people boycott due to their supporting genocide. read more

Finally an authentic Yemeni Coffee spot in Lake Forest, near Irvine and Mission Viejo! A wonderful alternative to places like Starbucks and Pete's. The vibes is welcoming, the service is typical of Arab hospitality where you feel like a king. The desserts and pastry are incredible, always baked to perfection. Boneless Chicken and Beef Koobideh Combo: One of the most dangerous things to order, as both things can either come out as dry, or start off as great, then dry up before you can finish. None of those scenarios happened here. The chicken was soft, juicy, seasoned very well, and it stayed that way. The beef koobideh had this smoky flavor profile, which is different from what I normally expect, and I liked it. Potato Boloni: I've never had boloni in my life, and the closest comparison I have is a Chinese or Korean pancake. The boloni had areas of spiciness, and I think it had room to go higher. It's definitely an appetizer, and I won't mind having it again. Service: There were only 2-3 occupied tables when we went. I think the staff had plenty of time to take our orders, give us water, and the food arrived within a reasonable time. Ambiance: You could tell that the restaurant was designed to host wedding receptions or larger parties in mind. Stage, lights, and a bunch of stuff that may be overwhelming for some. I didn't mind. Good food is all that matters.

I was greeted and seated quickly and the server was great at answering my menu questions. Mint tea - This is a hot mint tea and come with black tea, fresh mint leaves, and a crystal sugar stick that you can stir into it. I was able to get a tea refill (without a second sugar stick), no issues. Mixed Koubideh Combo - This plate came with one of each koubideh... A beef and a chicken. The chicken skewer was orange and had more seasoning or had been marinated longer than the beef. Both were cooked until there was some browning and char while still maintain juiciness inside. It comes on a huge metal plate which was almost the size of a shield. It's adorned with a lemon wedge, butter packet and a grilled tomato. There is a ton of rice. I wasn't even able to finish half of the rice. Mid meal, at 9 pm, the lights got sexy and a DJ started playing along with a DJ light show. He was spinning pop hits, a little hip-hop and Middle Eastern pop, which got two table of ladies up and dancing. There's a small dance area in the front but all of the dinner tables stay in the same formation. So I'm chomping and there are 30 year old and 60 year old women getting their dance on. Service here is great and the music provided an interesting twist to the night. I do wish the beef koubideh had a little more oomph to it. Other than that, over all it was a pleasurable dining experience in South County!

While enjoyable, it lacked the wow factor of the chai, and the pistachio flavor could have been more pronounced. Moving on to sweet treats, the Biscoff Milk Cake ($7.70) is a revelation.
