At this point, there was an unexpected 80 dollar charge on my account supposedly for missing an appointment. I called to get it removed, they reduced it to sixty. Whatever, I did miss an appointment. I paid the bill and scheduled appointment. Main dentist is on sabbatical so I got the second guy. I go in to appointment after 1+ year of no dental work and not the best diet, expecting it will probably be much worse bc original dentist said the work was urgent- to hear the second dentist say my teeth look great and he doesn't see a problem. Crack in the filling and recommended crown, huh? I guess that crack sealed up magically. But that's not all. I asked if we could do my cleaning instead since I was already there. They put me down for cleaning, lady tells me the cleaning is 37 dollars because my deductible is $50 and I will have to pay that. Never actually heard that before, I work at a school system and my coverage is Incredible, but $37 out the door, i'm already there, whatever. So I agree, they do xrays, cleaning, no cavities or Any problems, I go to check out and it's $50. Not 37. Lady says she told me it would be, she didn't. She said it was $37 and my deductible was $50 (which is still sketchy bc I have had the same plan for years and Never had a deductible of 50 for cleanings). Thank God I got the only one honest dentist who looked at my teeth while the main dentist is enjoying the profits of this systematic scammage on his sabbatical bc I probably would have owed 2k out the door with the main dentist and his team of quacks. Whether it was purposefully scamming (I reckon so) or an "accidental" misreading of my teeth condition, I really don't recommend this practice At All. PLEASE READ IN ENTIRETY!!! I almost never leave reviews but…read moreI have to speak up for myself with hopes that what happened to me does not happen to anyone else. No one deserves to be treated like I did. No patient should ever be lied to or called a liar. I called in to Dentkos to verify that my insurance was accepted and I was told yes. I needed two root canals so I scheduled my appt and came in on 6/24/25. I was in excruciating pain. I asked if my procedures were 100% covered by my insurance and I was told with complete certainty, yes. So, I signed all of the paperwork and Dr. Dentkos began my first root canal. For unclear reasons, he didn't complete the root canal and I was scheduled to come back in on 7/7/25 to have it finished and to start on the second one. I came back in on that date and Michelle, the office manager at the front desk, told me someone in their office made a mistake and they found out that they were not in network with my insurance. Of course I was taken aback and completely confused. I told her that my root canal was not even finished so what would happen regarding it's completion. She said "Don't worry we are going to complete it, we have to. But we won't be able to do your second one. You'll have to go somewhere else that accepts your insurance for that one". I was a bit upset due to me having to find a different entodontist, but I was also content with finally getting my first root canal finished. So, I got the first root canal finished that day. On 7/18/25, I receive a bill for a total of $1,219 that stated I was responsible for. I figured it was just a mistake or an automatic correspondence that was sent out. But I wanted to make sure. So, I called Dentkos and Michelle answered the phone. I explained to her that I got the bill and automatically she became defensive and extremely rude to me. She told me that she doesn't know who told me that they accepted my insurance and that "Dr. Dentkos doesn't work for free". I explained "It's not my fault that YOU gave me incorrect information and I remember exactly who I spoke with and it was you Michelle". She basically called me a liar and said no one ever told me that. After briefly going back and forth and me trying to explain why this is so unfair and how I shouldn't be held financially responsible, she blatantly stated "Well you signed paperwork that said whatever your insurance doesn't cover, you'd be responsible for. So, you'll just have to pay the bill". Needless to say, I've contacted my insurance company and filed a grievance and an appeal. I am also going to file complaints with whatever departments necessary to get some answers and a resolution. There was never an apology or accountability. Just blaming the patient and accusing me of being untruthful. I WILL NEVER SUGGEST ANYONE TO GO TO THIS ENTODONTIST. Please save yourself the headache and find an honest and professional endodontist office who genuinely cares about their patients.

Everything is always rushed and I can't get my questions answered even though I don't ask much. It also seems like they mistreat their staff, because they can't seem to hold onto people for very long. We were referred here by my brother-in-law who went to dental school with Dr. Milton Ntragatakis and also used to bring his kids here. "Used to" because it's been going downhill ever since Dr. Brittany took over. According to my BIL, Dr. Milton drives a fancy car and has a fancy house and quit working a while ago (he's 40ish like my BIL) because he just skates by on the profits from this tooth mill. My son is such an easy kid, but he had said it felt uncomfortable to close his mouth ever since Dr. Eilish put in his first filling. Maybe it's a good thing it cracked after 2 months? We had it redone by Dr. Brittany, who was grumpy and distracted. He still says it feels uncomfortable, and being 10, he's self-conscious that the filling looks like a blob instead of like a tooth. My BIL says they're supposed to test the bite to make sure it fits together well, and that it should look like a tooth if the dentist does it right. Neither dentist bothered with those details. I guess getting a hack job done fast is more important than a kid's long-term comfort. So now my sweet kid had to do this again and is still uncomfortable. Not to mention having to pay for it again, but maybe that's their goal? Their billing department is also a train wreck. I feel bad that I referred a friend here. She brought her baby to see Dr. Eilish for tongue tie and said Dr. Eilish was awkward, rushed, didn't answer her questions, and seemed like she was always on her way out of the room.
