I've been coming here for 7 or so years; mostly because my mom loves 1 stylist here. Unfortunately every year I get my hair done here the service declines just a little bit more. I was here just yesterday to get highlights to my hair and I was forced to go with a different stylist. The owner sweared by her work but honestly I'm not impressed. First of all I was charged $300 when the stylist told me $290. Don't get me wrong $10 is petty but it's the principle that I was told one but charged another. The stylist asked me in the beginning how short I wanted my hair cut but didn't confirm again after making the first cut. I knew she went cutting happy when she started measuring each side of my head. At the end my hair was much much shorter than anticipated and when I got home, I noticed that the red dye had actually leaked into the blonde dye... another thing I was super upset about. While the stylist was dying my hair, she actually took too much time getting the dye on my hair because the back of my head was finished before the front of my head... Another thing that I wasn't happy with was that the owner and the receptionist took a video of my hair before and after for TikTok without asking for my permission. I would have said yes if I was asked but I wasn't and I'm sure someone else might have had a problem with being photographed without permission. All in all... if the old stylist Brenda isn't available then I might just as well go to a different salon all together. I shouldn't have to drive an hour and some change then stay for about 4 hours.... just to be unhappy in the end. It's not worth it. read more

I have also been here for ladies night and we had a blast getting mini facials, massages, and hair styled. They offer water or wine with your service and the staff is all very friendly. When I called the manager agreed that the website was unclear about if it was a request or if it was a booking. At this point they would not fit her in tonight or tomorrow before the military dance that she wanted the nails for. LOVED my experience here! It was recommended by a friend to come here after they gifted me a "spafinder" gift card. I scheduled an eyebrow and eyelash tint, because I have never done it before and I thought, "why not?". I made my reservation online and they were able to see me the next day, which was so great. The receptionists were very nice and welcoming and the store itself was very clean and pretty. I was surprised with all the options they had for services! I was able to be seen early until my planned beautician was ready, and once she found out this was my first time doing the tinting she explained to me all the options and recommended for me the best colors. I ended up threading my eyebrows too for the best results, but it was super quick. I went to the back for the tinting, where I met with my planned beautician. Both women who helped me were clearly experts and have done this for a long time, so there was never any doubt or fear when going through my service. At the end I got the eyebrows I have always DREAMED OF. So happy with how my lashes and brows look! If I was not visiting Orlando I would be coming here only for my spa services. Don't waste your time and money on the laser hair removal. It doesn't work. I initially purchase 6 sessions for my face which didn't have much hair to begin with. Mostly peach fuss. Since starting my hair actually has gotten much worse and thicker. Then decided maybe I needed more so bought 6 more sessions. Biggest waste. I've always gone to ideal image (which is amazing) but when I saw the prices at this place I thought to give it a try. The owner promised they use the same machine at the consultation so I was really excited. Complete FAIL. I now go back to ideal image to fix what their laser has done. So disappointing read more

The massage was wonderful- I went in with a migraine and the therapist spent the entire time in my neck and back to help me. Pressure and technique were great. Unfortunately the walls aren't paper thin and I heard everything going on in the hall and in other rooms. Very distracting when trying to relax and get a massage (and when you have a migraine) including someone's iPhone alarm going off. At the conclusion of the massage the woman at checkout tried THREE times to sell me a membership- even though I told her that the therapist had given me the info to go over at home because I had a migraine (I was wearing sunglasses indoors-hint hint) This was a rather irritating way to end the relaxation treatment. read more

This review is for Luxy Nails, located inside Sanctuary Spa. This is my first time coming. I'm not new to Russian hardware manicures/pedicures. I am from NYC, and I have been to places in Brooklyn and Manhattan that far exceed this place. BTW- Zegna nails in NYC is hands down the best Russian mani/pedi, and the staff/owner are courteous and professional. Luxy Nails is the same price, but not worth it. I first made my appointment for 1pm. It was subsequently switched to 1:15, then 1:30 without asking me. Once I arrived, I waited another 15 min to be seen. Nobody came out to say they were running late...I had to ask several times. Once inside, I felt like the owner or manager, Zena, took issue with me asking to be seen on time. I had to make a 50% deposit, and if I had shown up 45 minutes late, I bet my appointment and deposit would have vanished. The actual mani/pedi was subpar. The polish on my thumbs was bumpy and wavy. I asked for them to be redone, and once again, Zena seemed irritated. I paid for the jelly pedi, and it barely came with 2 light swipes of the pumice stone. When I got home, I had to use my Amope and also discovered the polish on my big toes was bumpy. If this was a $30 manicure or pedicure, I wouldn't complain, but both services, with tip, is close to $200. I'm definitely trying a different place next time. There's another place in the area that is a little more pricey, but they also do a waterless pedicure (sounds weird at first but is amazing). That being said, this place is not worth the price for the quality, the attitude, and the blatant disregard for customers' time. read more

The laser hair removal here is a steal. The machine they use is the same as the one used at Ideal Image. As we all know, ideal image is a luxury laser hair removal center that charges $3000 for their services. Because the machine has to be used by a doctor Ideal Image has nurse practitioners going that do it for you. Sanctuary sends you to a pediatricians office to get the laser hair service done under a doctors supervision but a laser hair technician is the one zapping you. This is better in my opinion as a nurse practitioner is trained to do other things whereas a laser technician is trained to do just this. This is a really good deal!! read more

The owner (Pareen) is knowledgeable and amazing, the receptionists are pleasant and courteous, shampoo lady (I think her name is Maria) knows how to wash and massage while making you feel comfortable. Extremely mediocre manicure and pedicure. The reason a manicure exists is to get the cuticles removed, your nails filed, & painted. However, The lady will REFUSE to touch your cuticles because "it's against the law"... This is the first time in my 30 years of life I've ever encountered and will probably be the last...I will admit the staff is lovely, but the work quality deserves half a star. I Had been searching for someone who actually knew how to do hair. I had been to 5 other salons and NONE of them understood what I wanted. I have naturally dark brown hair, and I have had it lightened by other salons and it was brassy and very brittle. My goal, was a grey/silver with a shadowed root. I walked into Sanctuary to have my brows threaded (which is always perfect and well worth going to) and I saw they had an offer on hair treatments and colour. I asked for a consultation and Alder came around to speak with me. We booked a WHOLE DAY to get my hair right, but whilst it took a long time, it needed to take this long as my hair was very damaged so it had to be done carefully. The moment I spoke with Alder I knew it was right, he was talking to me about the techniques Id read about to achieve this look, and even went to the lengths to ensure he had the guy tang colours and toners for the look. The final touch of pixie dust for me was when he mentioned olaplex...if you know anything about hair, colour, bleaching etc, this is what you want used on your hair, and he did it!!! Went here for a spa night with 3 other ladies. Our guest of honor is getting married in a few weeks and we decided to surprise her with a massage. They were really accommodating and worked with us. We booked our reservation less than 1 week ahead. When we walked in, they had a little sign welcoming us/ congratulating the bride. I thought that was a nice touch. I was then led to the back and given a robe to change into and offered a drink. I met my party and we sat and talked for awhile. There was also a table with cucumber water and some crackers. The staff was helpful about coordinating our surprise. Once the bride to be arrived, we got started with our massages. There were 2 massage therapists so it took awhile. But while the first 2 got their massages, I chit chatted with my friend and we each got another glass of wine. Finally it was my turn! My massage was amazing. Sadly I can't remember the lady's name but she was short, thin and possibly Asian? The pressure was absolutely perfect. I told her about the areas that were troubling me and she made sure to spend extra time on those areas. Overall I really enjoyed my experience. The massage was great. Terrible customer service. I was stupid for buying a Groupon - when a salon/spa needs Groupons, there is typically a reason. I have called a number of times to make an appointment for laser hair removal- I have yet to be able to find a reasonably timed appointment. Being hopeful today, I called to try to once again make an appointment. The receptionist was incredibly unhelpful and rude, and when I finally thought that perhaps a very inconvenient but feasible appointment was had, I inquired as to how long the appointment time would be. She tells me 15 minutes - for a Brazilian! I have had Brazilian laser hair removal done, and a thorough, well done treatment takes at least double that. Granted she's a receptionist as she stated, so can't expect the woman to know much in this regard. I explained to her my concerns for shoddy/poor results with such little time and asked if could she make me a longer appointment - she told me (despite the numerous 1 star reviews that are easy to see) that there has NEVER been a customer complaint. Really? Well I have eyes and can see the many customer complaints. Anyways I told her that as a customer I felt that the results would be subpar if a longer appointment was not made- she went on to tell me that I was "berating her" for telling her this, and where did I get this from? Then - get this - she hungs up on me!! Really? This is the type of rude and abusive receptionists that these people hire? I called back several times - to ultimate determine what to do - as I have already paid money for this. She hung up on me every time I called!! Over and over she hung up on me. Is this how this Salon treats its customers? Can you believe this behavior? Of course I have filed a complaint with Groupon already. I wrote Pareen Merchant as well, spa owner, and had to find the contact information myself as the receptionist hung up on me and behaved in a completely inappropriate manner. I will be filling a complaint with BBB as they are PREVENTING ME from making an appointment when I have already PAID MONEY to get this treatment done! I call that fraud. Customer pays money, and they are refused an appointment - by a RECEPTIONIST of all people! Just imagine - a customer pays money to get a treatment. The receptionist continues to hung up on them, preventing them to make an appointment. What do we call this? I will be filling legal charges as well. And for those of you who complained below about Botox - just note that the physician doing the Botox is a Pediatrician - and the laser is done at the Pediatric clinic. Wow. Just wow. I will be filling a complaint with the FL medical board as well. This behavior is unacceptable and subpar. I will not tolerate to be abused as a customer - and someone who already paid.
