She clearly wasn't welcome at this buisness, & left but thought she should stay to tell the police the truth. This was her 1st time at this gas station, they were picking up a friend lives near by to go hiking afterwards yet this scared/upset them! that would of upset any teen, our family handles things diplomatically & respectfully, being screamed at, accused/lied on & getting cops called on you is upsetting at any age! WHO WORKS HERE & if this is how the owner allows his buisness being conducted? Thats "Big Mikes" right but "Tesoro" what standards do they have In order to have a franchise ?

Upon leaving my vehicle there for some work, I came back to find the back hatch was hit. He handed me my keys, said he was going to do nothing about it, stood up to be aggressive and told me to leave.

Here, there are ample gas pumps and parking spaces readily available. The air pump is in the back of the building FYI. I live closest to the Jewel Lake Holiday where stragglers and solicitors are a definite problem. This location is not like that thankfully. Inside, it's spacious, bright and clean. All workers encountered have been competent and fast. The store is well organized and lines move fast. Okay, so...I'm gonna let you guys in on a little secret. Holiday Stationstores sells the best egg rolls in Anchorage. I know....it feels crazy even typing that out. But it is, what it is. They're like $2 for 2. Hot, flavorful and filling vegetable and pork egg rolls. You're welcome (Maui voice).

Every now and then I have run into one that isn't super friendly at the beginning but the moment I engaged and take a moment to ask how they are doing, it turned the whole interaction around! I stop in here a few times a month on my way to work or afterwards and never have any problems or gripes. When a line gets to have more than a couple people, someone else always quickly opens up another line to assist those waiting. I know what I'm in there for, get in and get out, but I prefer this location due to the friendliness and feeling safer than a couple others I pass during my commute!

The employees here are usually friendly and helpful which is rare given the experiences I've had at other locations. Gas stations are places I usually don't post a review on but my recent visits have been beneficial to me budget-wise. I had signed up for the Denali Peak Rewards a few months back and using the card to purchase gasoline and/or food has paid off. An app is available for the Denali Peak Rewards card through Google or the Apple store. Once you download the app on your phone and register your card, it will give you access to discounts on food and drink items that you won't normally see on display. The card will give you a discount on gasoline after accumulating enough points which also complements the Carrs Rewards card which gives you a 20 cent discount after buying a certain amount of groceries at their locations. At one point during my lunch break, I had enough points on the card which came out to a $5 discount on food thanks to my previous fill-ups. A sandwich, chips and a drink that cost $8 ended up being only $3 after redeeming the points. Some discounts are 2-fer deals or get extra points on regular-priced items that can only be found on the app and not on a store display. Of course, the prices on food are obviously higher than Fred Meyers next door, but accumulating a good amount of points from gasoline purchases helps me get a better deal on certain items here instead of dealing with the after-work crowd at Fred Meyers. A large bag of chips at $8 becomes $1 and a 12-pack of soda at over $10(!) becomes $2 thanks to the fill-ups. If you patiently wait long enough, you can save and collect enough points to cover the entire cost of filling up your gas tank. That has happened this past year that covered $25 and $30 worth of gasoline on previous visits. You can get these deals at all Chevron stations and not just this location specifically.

There is a feisty little silver fox who is the manager I think. I see her often when I am picking up my 96 ounce diet coke. She is usually give some employee hell. But Today, Today was something special. They had a sale going on for their foot long wieners and she was dressed up like a hot dog. My heart began to palpitate as my thoughts drifted to her being drenched in special sauce. I perused down every aisle as I continued to eye her and think of week old gas station relish and onions. To make myself less obvious as only a 400 lb butter king can, i picked up an assortment of pastries, beef jerky and a dozen dogs looking alot like her, by that I mean they looked liked they had spent the last 20 hours on the roller machine and were nice and wrinkley. I doused them with Mayo and Extra cheese from the Nacho Machine. I inquired if they had butter, but sadly they were out. I sauntered my way up to the counter and in my sexiest voice i said how much i was going to enjoy eating her as I forked over the 275 dollars and 69 cents for all of the dogs and snacks. In all my life I never seen a lady blush so hard, but she did write her phone number on my register receipt. Alas I would have called her but within 4 hours i ended up at Providence. Thankfully it wasnt anything too serious. Nothing a little colonoscopy cant take care of.

(running it too tight, will probably be late) I made a point to stop in here after work the other day and...this is a pretty respectable gas station. Gas prices are fair. They aren't ripping you off, but I also wouldn't go out of my way for the prices. What makes this gas station great is the inside. They have pretty much everything. Sure, it's mostly "gas station food", but the have one of the largest selections of "gas station food" I've ever seen. They have a whole aisle of beef jerky, a whole wall of coffee, a whole cabinet of baked goods, etc. Other bonuses: - they have free air! (for your tires) - they sell firewood! (great to pickup in town before a weekend of camping/cabining) - they have lots of frozen food if you're too lazy to go to a full-on grocery store, but motivated enough to leave your house
