Great little snack bar with some upgraded food items and specials every day. The Veggie wrap with added chicken was fresh and delicious! They make great pizza too. The breakfast bowl is good for people trying to stay away from the carbs.

From the welcoming atmosphere to the friendly patrons and easily customizable menu items, it was one of the highlights of my weekend in Desert Hot Springs. The drunken noodles and eggplant dish were my favorites, spicy and flavorful. I made the mistake of ordering my yellow curry medium hot, and it was too mild for me, but it was hearty and filling, loaded with vegetables and tofu. The large portions and fantastic flavors had me coming back a second time in 2 days, just to try more. I hope to come back and experience more of the menu.

It was REALLY good!! My companion ordered the Chicken Sandwich on Ciabatta Roll and salad like mine. Both plates excellent. The ambiance of the cafe is much nicer now. They have added more comfortable upholstered seating, and the lighting is improved. They seemed understaffed, but our server was attentive, friendly, and our meals arrived quickly. Overall the menu offerings here are high quality, fresh, and likely the healthiest menu in Desert Hot Springs. The menu offers many vegetarian options. But they haven't sacrificed taste here. It is a gem.

We recently secured the…read morespace for our monthly mixer, Valley of the Dolls, and could not be happier with how our very first event turned out. From start to finish, the experience exceeded all expectations. Working with Events Manager Nicci and the GM was seamless and genuinely enjoyable. They were incredibly attentive, responsive, and open to collaborating on a custom event tailored to our needs. As an Event Planner myself, I truly appreciate when a venue takes the time to listen and accommodate -- and The Social Cafe absolutely delivered on that front. The setup was perfect for our mixer. The charcuterie spread was beautifully done, and the custom lemonade and iced tea station was a thoughtful touch that our guests loved. Everything felt curated, intentional, and aligned with the vibe we wanted to create. Beyond the event itself, the space is simply wonderful. It's warm, welcoming, and full of personality, with vibrant LGBTQ+ artwork and a layout that encourages connection. There's so much opportunity to grow our monthly event here, and we're excited about what's ahead. The Social Cafe also shines as a daily neighborhood gem. Their coffee and pastries are fantastic, and if you're a breakfast lover, this spot is a must-visit. They also offer an extensive lunch menu with delicious pizzas, fresh salads, sandwiches, and shareables. I especially love that they feature rotating local artists on the walls -- every visit feels fresh and inspiring. Thank you to The Social Cafe team for such a welcoming and successful start to our monthly events. We're thrilled to continue building something special in such a beautiful, inclusive space!

There were not very many pastries even though it was still pretty early. Service was straightforward but not welcoming. The coffee was good but not worth the price. The turkey, while good, wasn't freshly carved, which took a little away from the "special" feel. And while the breakfast sando was light and all alone on the plate, the way the mayo fused the flavors together was delicious. But I do wish the beverage fridge had prices listed so I wasn't surprised at the register. The restaurant, while it's a bit tricky to find on the side of a building, inside is a modern space. It's spotless and very clean. The aesthetic is minimalist and if it were just you, it could feel a bit cold, if not for the steady buzz of activity behind the counter. There were three staff members who moved swiftly. As I watched I was impressed with their efficiency as the kept things running smoothly. When we entered an hour before closing, we made the mistake to sit and pause to look over the menu. It was a mistake because it seemed like the front door kept swinging open as wave after wave of hungry visitors poured in. My guess is these folks were all returning from Joshua Tree National Park. In fact, it felt like nearly everyone there had just come from the park. The business concept appears thoughtfully geared toward travelers, particularly those with a bit of disposable income and a discerning palate. Overall, this is a certified foodie stop: quality over quantity: taste over filling up.
