Really cute, clean, and well-kept café! The portions were generous for the price, and we really enjoyed our meal. We tried both the green and red chilaquiles, and I'd definitely recommend the GREEN over the red--the red was a little too tomato-forward for my taste. A special shoutout to Oscar for his amazing service. He was friendly, attentive, and made our visit even better. We'll definitely be back!

Update: The food was great, nice portions, great service and fun and light ambiance. Will definitely be back. Two days in a row and the service exceeded expectations. James, Jeff, Richard, Heather and jaquline were all so friendly, attentive and amazing.

Real review. Hostess was sweet and arguably the hardest worker in the restaurant. With just a couple other tables, the poor service from our waitress was terrible. The waitress fixed on her phone behind the bar, us having to constantly ask the hostess for service. Food was nothing better than Denny's. Waitress said the Bloody Mary special was award winning. Had an inedible old bacon strip and the waitress could not even properly salt the rim. Mix was blah and no alcohol taste. French Toast was just sugar and flat. Handed the tip directly to the hostess because she was doing all the work.

Food was ok.. service was SLOW.... We shared the meat lovers omelette and substituted a pancake which was awesome btw some places don't let you do that.. food was decent. Enough for the two of us to share .. service was so slow and we went early on a Saturday morning so they weren't even busy yet.. so many other good places to eat in PS .. maybe they were having a off day ... IDK.

I love spicy food. It can't be too hot for me. So I ordered the El Fuego ( the fire) omelette. It was the best omelette I've ever had. It was loaded with spicy chorizo sausage and sliced jalapeños. It had guacamole and a tomato salsa. The cheese was slightly spicy too. It was the best! The service was amazing. Seems to have an all male staff of incredibly friendly people from James the host/manager to Richard our server. The food runners were smiling. Great friendly service! The mimosas flight was fun. Perfect amount for two people. I love the outdoor balcony tables. So cute. Great, fun place.

On a day of 113 heat outside, we were looking for a casual breakfast with plenty of options and Broken Yolk Cafe was our first stop on our vacation weekend. We only waited about ten minutes without a reservation. Cafe was about half full, tons of pick up orders. We were seated at a very clean table, families and birthday celebration next to us. Very happy atmosphere, various sports on the tvs for us to watch in between service. Husband got the BYC bloody mary. He was very happy, said just the right amount of spice and the bacon was on point. I ordered the Mom Omelette. Heavy on the healthy veggies, light fluffy eggs. Love the grilled bell pepper and onion. I also liked that they offer a blueberry muffin as an alternative to the usual toast. It was so light and fluffy, and the crunch in the hash browns was great. If you see the Sonny Bono fountain and are looking for a quick satisfying breakfast bite, with great portions for price paid, look up, literally, and go to BYC. James the manager and server Heather will take great care of you. Thank you for the great start to our vacay weekend and quick stop out of the summer heat.

Amazingly cute restaurant! I parked out back and was taking in all the sites whilst walking and totally walked past the entrance leading the upper floor. I don't mind walking upstairs for food but what sold me was how nice the breeze was the completely flowed through the entire building! It gets hot in Palm Springs and that was amazing to walk upstairs and feel the air! The food was pretty good honestly! The torta was a little too soft to pick up, it just fell apart but that's exactly why we have forks! I also ordered a Bellini and the purée was a little sweet but paired perfect with the torta! It is a fairly loud establishment but once you tune the others out, it's an amazing place to have breakfast!

Popular place. 1 hr wait to be seated but was excited because it seemed busy. After being seated, ended up waiting 40 minutes for 2 water glasses to be brought to our party of 8. Waitress took drink orders for half of our party, so ~some~ of us are still waiting for our margaritas to be served, the other half of iur party is still waiting to even order margaritas. Not sure the ETA of our drinks since it took so long to even get 2 water glasses to our table. We haven't even had the chance to order food yet. Was hoping for better service ;-; UPDATE: we ended up leaving early cause the food // drinks weren't coming. When we expressed our dissatisfaction to the waitress, she said "ok let me take your menu(s) then." So wouldn't recommend this place, unless you want to wait long for very poor service ._.

Whether you're catching up with friends or enjoying a weekend brunch, Broken Yolk Cafe is a solid choice. Views from the rooftop. Friendly service. All good vibes. I ordered the Chicken & Waffles Benedict. Chicken was fried to perfection. When in Palm Springs, I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu.

This place was so good for breakfast. Our server Liz was fantastic. The 2 egg combo plate and the eggs Benedict were amazing! Highly recommend this spot for breakfast when in Palm Springs. Thankfully they had great AC!

I've been a customer of Broken Yolk Palm Springs since they opened, which makes writing this review disappointing. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was easily the worst I've had here. We were seated at a table with a soaking wet tabletop. I asked for napkins, but no one offered to wipe it down or dry it. I ordered a carafe of orange juice, which is listed on the menu, but was brought a small glass instead. When I asked about the carafe, the server wasn't familiar with what I was referring to and I had to explain it before the order was corrected. The bigger issue was my food order. After a long wait, I was brought the wrong dish twice. When the correct entrée finally arrived, it still wasn't prepared as ordered. My only modification was substituting potatoes for rice and beans, yet it arrived incorrectly and had to be sent back again. By the time I finally received the right meal, my partner had nearly finished eating. The food itself was underwhelming and did not reflect the quality I remember from earlier visits. What surprised me most was that no manager ever stopped by the table despite multiple mistakes. I could see staff discussing the issue, but no one checked in, apologized, or attempted to make things right. To be fair, I didn't ask for anything to be removed from the bill. I paid in full, left a 20% tip, and simply moved on with my day. This review isn't about seeking compensation--it's about sharing an honest experience. I've given this location several chances because I genuinely enjoyed it when it first opened. Unfortunately, service, food quality, and attention to detail seem to have steadily declined. Palm Springs has too many great breakfast options for me to keep hoping the next visit will be better. Sadly, this will be my last visit.

Very average. Omelette. Very good avocado toast and very good Nutella crepes.

Do they accept reservations on weekends?

Hi Brian, We now offer reservations for this location! You must reserve at least 4 hours before the party and your entire party must be present to be seated. We offer this feature every day of the week!

Are you the same Broken Yoke Cafe that was located on the north end of Sausalito, CA., next to the bike path? It was a favorite of my wife and me when we lived in Sausalito!

Hi Clyde, You may be referring to a different restaurant. We have not expanded into that territory yet!

    Do you serve sandwiches?

Hi Sydney, We do have a sandwich section on our menu! The sandwiches we serve are the Crispy Chicken, Club, BLT, Buffalo Chicken Wrap, Tuna Melt and our new Veggie sandwich. We also have a soup, salad, half sandwich combo!

For this visit, I started off with a Triple Berry Tart and really enjoyed it. Imagine a pop tart that's not quite as sweet but a little more cakey and that is it. It was a real nice treat for the meal. I followed up with Sky's the Limit, which is basically one of their larger breakfasts and a mix of everything. I would highly recommend. The eggs were cooked perfectly and everything about it just really hit the spot. I would highly recommend this place to anyone searching for a great brunch option.

With the north facing wall being all window, it feels airy and open, you can see my inside and window view pics. We shared the Traditional Eggs Benedict and the Breakfast Bowl, see my pics. As you can see from my pics, the Traditional Eggs Benedict weren't quite up to par. The poached eggs were a bit under done. The hollandaise sauce was creamy but lacked the pinch of cayenne and a bit under flavored. The ham was ample but not so flavorful. There was a bed of spinach between the ham and English muffin. This was over cooked. The diced potatoes were nice and crunchy, but there wasn't any seasoning on them. On the other hand, the Breakfast Bowl was quite refreshing. My pic doesn't do justice to the freshness and variety of this bowl. The coconut milk was sweet and pared well with the fruit. The texture of the granola and coconut shaving nicely contrasted with the bananas and berries. Mixed through the coconut milk was the red quinoa which made the milk more substantial. This was a great way to eat healthy.

Golf course was closed but we were still able to see it. It's a big property. Lots to do. Do like they allow dogs since we had ours. They had multiple pools which we liked. We didn't use it but near one. Neither one looked too busy which was nice. Once we got settled into our room we went to go see Pinz and Pints since they had arcade games, including a duckpin bowling. My son was really excited about that. When we went they had a complimentary drink and candy bar. Drinks they offer are limited but still decent. We did get some food there as well. We got their nachos, Mac and cheese, and chicken tenders for my son. Both the nachos and Mac and cheese were really good. Love nachos and wanted to keep eating them. This is very much a family resort, so that is worth keeping in mind if you are looking for a quiet getaway. Even at the adults-only Paloma Pool, children were jumping into the water and splashing guests' drinks while parents appeared unconcerned. That made it difficult to relax in what was supposed to be a peaceful setting. On a positive note, the entrance walkway, lobby, and open-air courtyard are beautiful and make for a strong first impression. Unfortunately, that charm does not extend to the guest rooms, which are clearly in need of a refresh.

This place is a true gem, maybe a hidden gem due to the negative reviews as of lately…read more My husband and I booked this place for a quick weekend getaway. I was a little scared when I read that most of the recent reviews were negative. I was thinking "oh no! What did I get us into." This place is a blast from the past. The decor is that of a mid century modern and is a really cozy quadrangle set up. The interior feels homey and the property is set up like an air bnb with shared amenities. They play 1950s music all day on speakers throughout the complex, it creates that vintage feel but can get repetitive after a few days. Lounge with tables, board games, travel brochures, couches, fire place, coffee and tea, and industrial kitchen for use during your stay. (Old reviews mention happy hour, breakfast, snacks, etc. these are no longer offered but why not just bring your own?) Each room has microwave and mini fridge. Outdoor gas fire pit for use. The pool is small but has a deep end 8ft which is nice. There are pool noodles and some tubes to use. The hot tub is spacious and powerful jets. We stayed in the Hawaiian surf room, loved the theme it was so cute and felt like a tropical getaway. The shower is small but functional. Good AC unit with a remote control and ceiling fan. Surfboard coffee table and wicker love seat add to the tropical feel. Overall this was a nice private getaway. You can be left alone to relax! If you need anything you can text the hotel and someone replies super quick in my experience. The hotel feels very secure with codes needed to enter the complex and security cameras at the entrance and surrounding the complex. (Probably for management to check and make sure everything is running smoothly). I would stay here again in a heartbeat and I have stayed at a few different boutique hotels in the area. This would be a top choice! Please realize this is an older complex and it does show some wear and tear but come on the building is probably 100 years old or somewhere close to that. If you are expecting a sterile, high end, resort feel for your stay this is not your place... but otherwise this is a great choice! I couldn't help but feel bad for the owners with all of the really bad reviews on here because that was truly not my experience. I left off one star because there are definitely areas of improvement that could be made but not enough to ruin my experience.

There are 10 rooms available and each one is a different theme in the 1950s. I stayed for two nights in the Crooners room and I enjoyed my stay a lot. When I arrived, Tim, the inn keeper assisted me with my room keys and showing me around the property. My room was decorated with the Rat Pack and I loved it. All rooms are a maximum of two people with a hot tub, refrigerator with water, microwave, and coffee maker, air conditioning, and DVD player. If you'd like, bring a DVD and popcorn to enjoy during your stay. The bed was pretty comfortable. There were more than enough pillows which I'm guilty of using more than one pillow while I sleep. I love how the comforter was linen on the outside, but cozy and warm on the inside. The Crooners room has two sinks, but I only used one. There is happy hour everyday at 5pm by the pool or communal area with snacks and beer or wine. During my stay there were chips and salsa and the following day was veggies with dip, with of course a drink of choice. Really nice touch added to my stay. It's been a while since I have stayed in a bed and breakfast and I love the homeyness here. Breakfast is served in the communal dining area with hand sanitizer provided. The three-course breakfast starts with a fruit smoothie, a fruit parfait and a hot breakfast. For breakfast they served blueberry pancakes with sausage and the following day it was quiche with artichoke hearts and potatoes. I loved the service here so much. You sit at a table and they serve the food to you. The pool is open 24 hours will pool floaties available to use as well. Another thing I like about this place is that because there aren't many people (max 40 people at a time) it is highly likely you will get the pool to yourself. When I checked out and left the property I told my husband I would enjoy staying here again. I really enjoyed my stay here and highly recommend you stay here too.

Great brunch spot! We were visiting from out of town and were looking for somewhere to grab brunch…read more I checked Yelp and found Wilma & Frieda's and liked the reviews I read. The location was easy to find, ample parking too. The restaurant itself is kind of small (it's kind of more like a coffeehouse with a decent-sized table-service area), but we only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table on our second visit. (Yep, we liked it enough that we went twice during our trip!) The servers and staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful. The food was hot and delicious, and the portions were generous. And there were a good variety of savory and sweet brunch items to choose from. They also serve lunch and have a bakery counter, but I didn't look too hard at those parts of the menu because I knew I wanted the short-rib scramble as soon as I saw it on the online menu, haha! And the biscuits--oh my goodness, they are so good. They taste perfectly homemade and are pillow soft yet just the right amount of crumbly without being a dried, cracking mess. Across my 2 visits, I had the short-rib scramble (yum) and the Meany (basically eggs, sausage, potatoes, and a biscuit--yum), and my daughter had the biscuits and gravy, which she said was great. I highly recommend Wilma & Frieda's and will definitely go back on future Palm Springs trips.
