I've been a customer of Broken Yolk Palm Springs since they opened, which makes writing this review disappointing. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was easily the worst I've had here. We were seated at a table with a soaking wet tabletop. I asked for napkins, but no one offered to wipe it down or dry it. I ordered a carafe of orange juice, which is listed on the menu, but was brought a small glass instead. When I asked about the carafe, the server wasn't familiar with what I was referring to and I had to explain it before the order was corrected. The bigger issue was my food order. After a long wait, I was brought the wrong dish twice. When the correct entrée finally arrived, it still wasn't prepared as ordered. My only modification was substituting potatoes for rice and beans, yet it arrived incorrectly and had to be sent back again. By the time I finally received the right meal, my partner had nearly finished eating. The food itself was underwhelming and did not reflect the quality I remember from earlier visits. What surprised me most was that no manager ever stopped by the table despite multiple mistakes. I could see staff discussing the issue, but no one checked in, apologized, or attempted to make things right. To be fair, I didn't ask for anything to be removed from the bill. I paid in full, left a 20% tip, and simply moved on with my day. This review isn't about seeking compensation--it's about sharing an honest experience. I've given this location several chances because I genuinely enjoyed it when it first opened. Unfortunately, service, food quality, and attention to detail seem to have steadily declined. Palm Springs has too many great breakfast options for me to keep hoping the next visit will be better. Sadly, this will be my last visit.

Whether you're catching up with friends or enjoying a weekend brunch, Broken Yolk Cafe is a solid choice. Views from the rooftop. Friendly service. All good vibes. I ordered the Chicken & Waffles Benedict. Chicken was fried to perfection. When in Palm Springs, I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu.

Real review. Hostess was sweet and arguably the hardest worker in the restaurant. With just a couple other tables, the poor service from our waitress was terrible. The waitress fixed on her phone behind the bar, us having to constantly ask the hostess for service. Food was nothing better than Denny's. Waitress said the Bloody Mary special was award winning. Had an inedible old bacon strip and the waitress could not even properly salt the rim. Mix was blah and no alcohol taste. French Toast was just sugar and flat. Handed the tip directly to the hostess because she was doing all the work.

Food was ok.. service was SLOW.... We shared the meat lovers omelette and substituted a pancake which was awesome btw some places don't let you do that.. food was decent. Enough for the two of us to share .. service was so slow and we went early on a Saturday morning so they weren't even busy yet.. so many other good places to eat in PS .. maybe they were having a off day ... IDK.

I love spicy food. It can't be too hot for me. So I ordered the El Fuego ( the fire) omelette. It was the best omelette I've ever had. It was loaded with spicy chorizo sausage and sliced jalapeños. It had guacamole and a tomato salsa. The cheese was slightly spicy too. It was the best! The service was amazing. Seems to have an all male staff of incredibly friendly people from James the host/manager to Richard our server. The food runners were smiling. Great friendly service! The mimosas flight was fun. Perfect amount for two people. I love the outdoor balcony tables. So cute. Great, fun place.

Amazingly cute restaurant! I parked out back and was taking in all the sites whilst walking and totally walked past the entrance leading the upper floor. I don't mind walking upstairs for food but what sold me was how nice the breeze was the completely flowed through the entire building! It gets hot in Palm Springs and that was amazing to walk upstairs and feel the air! The food was pretty good honestly! The torta was a little too soft to pick up, it just fell apart but that's exactly why we have forks! I also ordered a Bellini and the purée was a little sweet but paired perfect with the torta! It is a fairly loud establishment but once you tune the others out, it's an amazing place to have breakfast!

Oscar and the entire team were spot on with fast, friendly service. We felt well taken care of and never rushed. I had the corn cakes Benedict and it was great. Sat on the patio and enjoyed the people watching from the balcony.

The food was good but it was all cold. Took a while to get greeted. Just over all not a good time.

Very average. Omelette. Very good avocado toast and very good Nutella crepes.

Unremarkable. I got a rancho omelette, came with hash browns. Dry and the ingredients inside were average. Not very flavorable, and dry. Mrs. Yelper got avocado toast, with salmon, which she said was quite good. She also got Nutella crepes, which I tried to talk her out of, but she said it was delicious. I think a place that is famous for breakfast should be able to make a better omelette.. It is a nice wide open place

First off, I absolutely love Palm Springs. Live about 20 minutes outside of town and try to hit new restaurants at least 3 times a month. There's always new hidden places in this town. I also love a good breakfast/brunch. I was seated quickly on a balcony all by myself and it was wonderful.....except I was forgotten. Finally waved someone over, ordered and unfortunately forgotten again. After a long wait, the food was finally here and I was a bit disappointed. I requested no onions, but they were there so I picked them out because I was hungry and didn't want to wait any longer. The biscuits were a bit gummy but the country gravy was quite good. I will definitely try this place again, everyone deserves a second chance. I did hear their Eggs Benedict are excellent, will give that one a try.

Hi Sydney, We do have a sandwich section on our menu! The sandwiches we serve are the Crispy Chicken, Club, BLT, Buffalo Chicken Wrap, Tuna Melt and our new Veggie sandwich. We also have a soup, salad, half sandwich combo!

Everyone really enjoyed their food. I found the salmon crepe to be really delicious, served with a jammy egg, a generously sized portion of salmon on a bed of spinach with some creme fraiche all wrapped in a delicious crepe wrap. Majority of the restaurant is outside with covered umbrellas and small sections in the inside area with different rooms. Our waitress was quite sweet but didn't remember her name. Menu is pretty much same as I remember from last time. Of course the Bloody Mary is always a must here. Started off with that. Food wise, the andouille sausage omelette served with potatoes or a salad and avocado. That also comes with a side of baguette. And the baked brie platter which is a shared starter. But works also a meal if needed. A nice hefty portion of baked Brie with hazelnuts, both ciabatta bread and Asian pear as well as date jam. And a side order of bagel and cream cheese. Food was good. We've only been for brunch and each visit was great. Dinner is a prix fix menu which we have never been. Service was great and the staffs were all very friendly. Water was constantly filled when it was emptied. Until next time.

The restaurant isn't that big with a small covered patio out front and some seating inside. There's a bar counter that I think you can sit as well which looks out to the kitchen. Menu was pretty impressive with brunch. Everything actually looked good on paper and even better when plates were being brought out. We started off with a bottle of the bubble and some juices. Found out that each juice added was 2.00. They should at least added a juice to it, but oh well. They did have some drinks deals which you should utilize. Brunch, the hangover omelette with 3 eggs, sausage, bacon, ham, mushrooms, bell peppers, Serrano topped with green onions, sour cream and cheddar cheese. Comes with a side of toast or English muffins and either tots, potatoes, salad or fruits. And the Florentine omelette, vegetarian. 3 eggs with spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, feta cheese and avocado. Also comes with sides of toast and potatoes. The meal was great. The table next to us had orders some dishes that we were thinking about and from the looks of it, it's a must next time. The food was great, service was excellent and the staff were all amazing and friendly. It's a place that I'll for sure be back again. Hours are limited so it's mainly breakfast and lunch.

One again, used the bread as a vehicle for the sauce to my mouth. Yes, all the food was good but the bread...the bread...and the butter... Si Bon...c'est si bon...

I have never ate breakfast or lunch here but the cinnamon roll is SOOO GOOD!! The cinnamon roll is…read morenontraditional as it comes looking like a cake slice and the frosting is dripped over the sides. The roll itself is so fluffy and even with it sitting on the counter for a few hours (it was already 3pm when I picked up the roll.) It was still so fresh, the frosting tasted like it had just been whipped with cream cheese and it wasn't dry at all. The server stated to place it in the microwave for 30-45 seconds but it honestly didn't need to be warmed because it was so fresh, perfectly balanced and just the right amount of cinnamon. Yes, it was $8 but it was so worth the price tag given I ate the roll for two days and it was still great. The sides were a little hard on day two but it was sitting out.

I had the California Benedict. The "house made" English muffin was way too hard, pro-tip, if you order this ask for a steak knife! The slice of tomato was very cold and the egg was not what I would considered properly poached, the white still not set. The hollandaise... was not at all yellow from egg yoke, and had not a hint of lemon, it was more of a béchamel than hollandaise. The potatoes were decent however, cooked through with a bit of bell pepper. My dining companion had one of their chicken sandwhiches with bacon. The bacon was excellent, the bread decent, but the chicken was "like rubber." The space is OK, clean, but very, very loud. And cramped. The service was good, considering how busy they were. Maybe we ordered the wrong items? But I have no need to go back.
