We recently secured the space for our monthly mixer, Valley of the Dolls, and could not be happier with how our very first event turned out. From start to finish, the experience exceeded all expectations. Working with Events Manager Nicci and the GM was seamless and genuinely enjoyable. They were incredibly attentive, responsive, and open to collaborating on a custom event tailored to our needs. As an Event Planner myself, I truly appreciate when a venue takes the time to listen and accommodate -- and The Social Cafe absolutely delivered on that front. The setup was perfect for our mixer. The charcuterie spread was beautifully done, and the custom lemonade and iced tea station was a thoughtful touch that our guests loved. It's warm, welcoming, and full of personality, with vibrant LGBTQ+ artwork and a layout that encourages connection. Picked up an iced latte Sunday morning before heading to my sons game. I got the smaller size and it was almost $8 with 1 pump of hazelnut syrup and almond milk which is kind of insane to me. There were not very many pastries even though it was still pretty early. Service was straightforward but not welcoming. The coffee was good but not worth the price. LOVED the experience here when I decided to try a new place in the area. The man at the register was so nice as I picked out an amazing sourdough biscuit that was to die for! It was so fresh and with jam, perfect. I'm going to drop by again before I head home. The vibe here is as advertised, social and play. There are a few games available inside and some outside. There was a Mah Jong group that came in, made food and drink overs, and settled in upstairs for their game time. Parking in the lot behind and around is easy. There is also a wonderful water fountain outside you can sit near. Plenty of room for everyone. Many small groups for people similarly enjoying their treats and spending quality time chatting. The item I ordered was mediocre in quality and noticeably dry, while the Nutella banana drink was lacking the flavor I expected. I was hoping for a richer, more pronounced Nutella and banana taste, but the flavors were quite subtle. I also felt the pricing was too high for the quality of what was served. Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience, but it was underwhelming, especially considering the price point. The photos and reviews looked great here and I was excited when I saw Cinnamon Play Biscuit as an option but when I got it, It didn't have cinnamon on it and I know it's a biscuit but that thing was tiny and kinda stale. This was my first time coming to this coffee shop. I always love to try new places and I always drove by here and wanted to check it out. Once I arrived I loved the outdoor and indoor seating was so nicely set up and spaced out. Only bad part about sitting outside was there was a thousand bees from all the flowers on the trees. I ordered my drink at the front like usual but it was very "transactional" experience. Just what can I get you and tap your card right here. I would like to come back here but since I was the only person in line I thought service would be more focused around friendliness. This is a great place to hang out. The atmosphere is great really relaxing. They do have games and books. I don't never see anybody really playing the games or books but I bet it would be fun to play a game of Yahtzee and drink some good coffee or have a bagel or something they have good food and they're very very nice people. The young kid that works the counter on the weekends with the tattoos has the worst sense of customer service I've ever experienced. Really bad attitude as if the patrons are lucky to be ordering coffee there. I'll never return as everyone in line was quite shocked with his attitude. Aside from the beautiful weather we had tonight in Palm springs I was taken back by the horrible show the Social would actually promote. Not only did the strip show start late but the service had a lot to be desired ... The drinks which took forever to get were terrible and the show was by far the worst I've seen in a long time. The STAR of the show wasted so much time taking about himself that was an instant turn off. Being as vulger as he was didnt make the show better. It actually made it worse. Who cares if he says he has a 9 incher. One thing for sure he lacked talent.and that we were there to see a show and not hear his is thoughts on life. The two guys we were sitting with didn't even stay for the show and we actually left after the second dancer. Very disappointing evening. read more

Fun relaxing place to hang out with friends, play some board games or just relax and hang out. Very nice and efficient staff and the personal sized pizza's were really good. We did not try the biscuits this time but will be sure to try on next visit. Overall they got a great place a little outside the downtown core. I didn't realize they offered so many attractive food options but since we came with the intention for something small, I narrowed my selection to their signature Play Biscuit (tall, soft-&-fluffy, light-&-tender), while hubby ordered a Blueberry Muffin (tender, flavorful, full of big, plump berries -- one of the best he's had... and he's not a "muffin" man!)-- we both requested butter, in which a generous amount of soft whipped butter was served in a small ramekin. LOVED this spot for coffee (they serve local Varraco coffee here! The coffee is self serve -- easy to get refills) and a breakfast treat, dining outside with a variety of colorful seating options, inside and outside. There's even a small outdoor seating area that is nice to enjoy the Palm Springs sunshine while having a meal or a drink. Service is friendly and cheerful.
