However, it looks like both the front and back are severely understaffed, leading for long wait times for service. Meals come out for some people, with others waiting for 5 minutes. Toast finally arrives when everyone is half-way through breakfast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was only 30% occupied. I would hate to be ordering if they were full[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. The restaurant either needs to staff-up, or make sure that the staff are doing their jobs. I will leave that determination to the manager, assuming he is on site. read more

We had lunch on the patio which had a spectacular view that would be a reason to return but the food was mediocre. I had a chef salad. I asked for my dressing on the side but when I was served it was heavily dressed and I had to ask for it to be remade. All the ingredients were chopped into tiny pieces so I felt like was basically eating lettuce. Since I do like salad this wasn't horrible but I husband ordered the same thing and was disappointed. Service was ok. If you are looking for a beautiful view, this is a place I'd recommend but not for the food. read more

Fantastic view of the course and great service. We finished playing golf on the north course. One of the guys working there suggested we go over to the south course restaurant as there's a full bar and restaurant. Our server was the best. Great sense of humor. Sorry forgot his name. Wow, what a month can do to change a restaurant. this used to be a gem and has fallen quickly. no reason given as to why when asked what has happened; 30+ minute wait for tables that are open, 40 min for a food order, cold food and not so great service. seems like the kitchen is down and out, but no one from the restaurant will admit to such. hope they can find their way back. read more

Came here for Easter brunch.. First off, my entire family was confused because when we made the reservation with the restaurant we were told that they were having an Easter, buffet style brunch(like they had for several years prior). However when we arrived we were told that they do not have a buffet, and the menu was our only option.. This was disappointing because we had a very large party of people that were very hungry and expected what they told us on the phone. The new location of his restaurant(south course) is new and very beautiful. Next, the service was probably the best thing about this place.. The service staff that took care of our party was very nice, attentive, and accommodating... The food however was nothing special which was very disappointing.. I was hoping for some elaborate, fancy, exciting dishes on the menu for Easter brunch, however I as well as other members of my party were not impressed.. These items include the NY steak and eggs, Reuben sandwich, crab cake Benedict, and French toast. Needless to say I will not be coming back here for Easter brunch.... Funny thing is that the restaurant was probably only at 30% capacity when we were there.. That probably means something in retrospect... read more

(This is for South Course Restaurant apparently they have two courses) Started off my morning today by taking my family to eat at the south course restaurant. We have never been here before but my friend recommended I come try it out; so glad we did... I had the prime rib hash with a side of pancakes which was delicious, my wife tried the fillet benedicts which had a more then reasonable size cut of steak on both benedicts with a bernaise sauce which was a nice touch and my son had the bbq pulled pork sandwich, even that looked really tasty. The mountain backdrop view is incredible... we will be coming back to try the lunch next! read more

This review is for the service at the diner/restaurant at the entrance to the facility. I had a decent time given my company. The place is a bit old and could use some improved interior decorating. My biggest grievance was the service. I greeted our waitress with a smile and chipper attitude when she asked what we would like to drink and was received with a straight, unaffected stare. I then proceeded to ask if she could list the drinks and this seemed to bother her too. She made a face that said this is something people don't ordinarily ask her to do. Then when the drinks came, I discovered that the flavor of the powdered lemonade I was served didn't taste good to me, so I asked a second waitress for water instead, who, based on her expression, I had also offended with my request. I understand it can be frustrating when someone sends something back to the kitchen. A meal I can understand. However, I didn't appreciate feeling like a bother when I requested this simple change to my drink order. Finally, when I was given my water, it tasted like the cup they used had remnants of an alcoholic drink that not only hadn't been washed out, but occupied a significant amount of the beverage. I asked my mom to take a sip to get a second opinion to see if it was just me and she was surprised by the odd taste too. I decided after that I would just make it through my meal without drinking anything because apparently, filling a cup with a simple liquid, like clean water, is too daunting of a task. I always make it a point to be polite because I know how difficult guests can be when you are working in the food service industry. I also am aware that everyone has issues happening in their lives on a day to day basis. I too am an individual who experiences hardships, but I don't take it out on people I'm working around because I'm considerate enough to understand that they aren't the cause of my pains. So, given this experience, I can say in full confidence that the lack of professional courtesy, and the poor attitude I was presented with while being here assures me that I won't be returning. read more

What a refreshing surprise for a Sunday Brunch. It was a gorgeous day so we asked to be seated outside and what a breathtaking view. Champagne and water was served immediately. We were all very excited about the extensive menu choices for Brunch and all under $15. The basket of fresh made mini blueberry muffins were better than my homemade! We tried the Prime Rib hash, the egg white Smoked Salmon frittata and the Fillet Mignon eggs Benedict. Now that they've closed that amazing space and moved everything across the street all I can say is CRAP!! The worst service ever. Ever. So far we've been waiting 45 min for 2 sandwiches. We waited 20 min for menus. If the food doesn't arrive before we finish our 2nd round of cocktails which I had to go to the bar to obtain we're walking. Do not waste your time or money. So many better places in PS. A cavernous room with poor acoustics. We had drinks at the bar. One of the smaller martinis in Palm Springs, at a full size price. The vibe is similar to a mid market golf club in the 80s. Only grey hairs. A predictable menu, but after some conversation they did allow us to order from the bar menu, at happy hour prices. Very good sliders and chili cheese fries. We ordered calamari, but it was not available. The wives did not think much of their Cobb salads off the regular menu. Sunday brunch is back....and in a very good way! This is one of the most beautiful places in Palm Springs for brunch and the new management has put together a great menu. They offer an unlimited champagne brunch for $19/per person and feature a great selection of eggs benedicts (the filet benny is terrific) as well as nice variety of choices. Service is great too! We revisited this restaurant for happy hour after hearing it had reopened. Of course the view is amazing and its location is convenient. The appetizers were great! I had the sliders which were the best I have ever had!! (and I have hd a few!) Drinks were a bit pricey especially for happy hour but the food made up for it. Perhaps the worst service of any restaurant in Palm Springs. Decent menu, nice venue yet there's an apparent lack of personnel to handle the needs of diners. Had Sunday brunch there yesterday and observed multiple tables on the outdoor terrace being served by only 2 servers and 1 busboy who appeared to be handling the inside of the restaurant at the same time. No Host/Hostess to seat, so it was first-come-first-served. Observed multiple uncleared tables where people sat waiting for table to be cleared from the previous diners before getting their table cleaned. In addition, the server was not experienced enough to check back, refill coffee, write down/remember which of the 3 of us ordered which meal and, ultimately, to even bring us the final bill in a timely manner. When we took it inside to pay, the person identifying themselves as the Manager made it clear they'd leave it to the server to process so we ended up waiting another 10 mins to pay. I suggest that they start with replacing the Manager for falling down on the job and move on to hiring more help, then server training in the customer service basics. Truly a disappointment. Not headed back there any time soon. read more
