My acrylics turned out exactly they way I wanted them too and I was very satisfied, could not have asked for a better full set!! This is a very basic, no frills salon that does a decent job in a pinch. Also CHEAP compared with east coast prices. I'm new to the area (from D.C.) and Seattle seems to have fewer salons that do acrylic, and half-nail color seems to be a foreign concept. Sandals is tiny (3 pedi chairs/3 nail stations); the low-key atmosphere is nice--(although I miss having the distraction of a TV to keep you from just having to stare at the technician the whole time). While the staff is friendly and the resident toy terrier "Jellybean" who yappingly greets every customer at the door is adorable, this salon falls short. [BTW, I like pets so I wasn't put off by the owner continuing with my nails with the dog on her lap, but this might be a horror to some...] No paper foot covers, so when you move from the pedi chair to the manicure station, it's just your bare feet on their floor (ick!) No toe separators, so be prepared to "spread 'em" yourself to keep from nicking your paint. I've been there twice and neither time have they offered the massage function on the pedi chair. Neither time has anyone asked me how I like my pedi water (it was HOT both times, but I like that). Nail polish seems to be of lower quality. I agree with the other Yelper that they don't do a hard enough foot scrub; foot massage was OK. Good parking. But not a cushy "pamper" experience by any stretch; this is strictly utilitarian. I'll be branching out and trying other salons now that I'm getting acclimated but since Sandals is close to my house, they'll probably be my "go to" place when I'm in a hurry or need a nail rescue. read more

I got a regular pedicure and a gel manicure. The quality of the manicure was really good given the price. It wasn't really a relaxing experience though. And My toe was hurting a bit off and one for the following couple weeks. I wouldn't deter anyone from going there but I'm not sure I would enthusiastically recommend it. read more

Avoid this place if possible. I was charged twice for a pedicure and they refused to give me a refund! Only after arguing with them for 15 minutes did Amy, the owner, finally gave me my money back by throwing it in my face and waking away. I am sorry, it's bad enough I had to pay for one pedi when it was horrible in the first place. My toes nails are uneven and not shaped. She (Amy) cut them straight across and did not file/shape them. I was in a hurry so I did not say anything about it. I did however bring it up when I asked for my double charge refund. This was the 2nd time I had a pedicure done here and I WILL NEVER RETURN. I don't care how much of a time crunch I am in, my 6 year old could do better. 1. This place needs to remember- The customer is right, especially when they pull up their account online and show the over charge. Ummm that would be called PROOF! 2. Work on customer service- Don't talk to your other employee the entire time, learn how to cut and file nails, don't double charge and don't jab peoples toes. I will never be back and have already told several people to never go their. I will also be reporting this to the BBB. It is illegal to double charge someone and not refund their money. read more

First time in Sandals and I loved it. Mani/pedi with nail art for $50, I am very happy. Staff was friendly and they offer a loyalty punch card so I will definitely be going back. Really impressed with technique, my nails look flawless and the art was exactly what I was picturing. read more

I love this place and have been going regularly for about a year now. I tried 3 other salons before this and this place was by far the best. The prices are good, the place is clean, they are thorough and I always get an amazing design that is hand painted, no stickers here. It is small so I don't have to put up with a ton a jabbering other woman either, it is just quiet, relaxing and I always get exactly what I want. read more

Really small nail shop only 3 pedicure chairs the one closest to the wall which I had was broken well as she would say "sometimes work sometime not" so that was a bummer. Especially because that's one of the more important reasons to getting your feet done.. So I still got charged the $25 for a pedi plus $5 for French tip. I don't know if it's different in the state of California but it is state mandated to use brand new foot scrubbers for each customer.. Here they did not it was a purple reusable metal foot scrubber and I had to ask her to scrub my foot more because she was in a rush for some reason I don't know bc there wasn't anyone waiting to be seen. I'm still in shock. The other reviews that talked about horrible customer service are right. Went there for a mani pedi and it was appalling. The girl who did my pedi could hardly be bothered to pay attention to my pedi long enough between texting to see what she was doing. She literally massaged lightly with one hand while texting with the other. She did so while polishing too and it shows. In addition, the polishes are all old and gooby. And the place wasn't that clean. I won't be going back. read more

I came to the store on Friday with some friends, this woman named Kim immediately help me and asked me what do I want to do. Even though, she did not know how to speak English well; she was very nice and very polite about giving me what I want. I had a pedicure and the price range was right and even more she gave me a massage extra 5 minutes. Kim was very nice, I would recommend other to come to this store. I did not have a good experience at this salon. I went for a quick polish change on my hands and feet. The nail polish I chose was almost empty leaving my nails chunky and sloppy looking. They rushed through leaving smears on my nails and un-evenly filed nails. They spoke another language to each other the entire time. I was the only client in the place so that was awkward. Then they charged me $17 for the service while processing my credit card at $25 (although that did seem to be an accident). There are lots of other nail salons in the area that do a better job and are nicer. read more

Hands down the best nail salon in Seattle! Amy's nail art is phenominal, she is so particular about detail and it shows! I got an amazing pedicure and some of the best nail art I have had in a long time. I am a hairstylists also so I have definitely been around it and seen plenty of nail art. This girl is the truth! Not to mention she is extremely friendly. The people leaving bad reviews honestly must not have love for amazing talent, or nail art. I will never go to another nail salon as long as I am in Seattle. Walked passed this salon couple times not stopping due to the bad reviews. But I had to came in two weeks ago for a shellac repair(That I've got done somewhere else). First I was told I had to wait for 20min for one repair. I decided to wait because of my lunch time anyway. Less than 10mins Amy asked me to come for back to start on my repair while her other client got up to wash their hand. I highly appreciated that she squeezed me in right between each client for my to finish before my lunch. I decided to return for a full shellac, While I was waiting for my shellac to soak off I observed why these two hard working ladies have such a bad rep. What I've noticed that's different from other salon that I like and concern that I have from other yelp reviews. They're honest about the wait time If they have a appointment on the book of close to the time of a walk in they will not except walk in to make a quick bucks. They have the cutest dog for you to hang out with while waiting, caution while sitting on the coach. Jellybean will get on your lap. There's no bs asking about your personal life No tipping on card is a little differently but that's what they preferred so it's not a big deal! And ladies give Amy a break this girl have a baby and just got married! Understand that sometime the salon hours are a little off. Just call before coming down. Also couple people did mention that they're on the phone texting all the time so I asked Tao (The older lady-excellent with hand massage), she explain that Amy take most of her appointment through text. Overall my experience was wonderful. Shellac last going on my 3 weeks, I had a wonderful time chatting with my gal during service. 4 star for service and 1 star for jellybean! read more

Awful experience, rude owner! I went in for a pedicure taking advantage of a spare moment. This place is right around the corner from me and I occasionally go in when I can't make it to Ballard (my reg. nail salon). I was first sat in a chair that was broke, they didn't put any kind of salts in the water, and half way through the water got cold. But that wasn't the bad part! I asked the not so pleasant woman doing my toes if she could do a design for me. She said ok, on my prior experiences the owner did the designs, because the lady doing my toes doesn't really know how to. Well, apparently today I was her guinea pig. When the design on my toes were done they looked like a bunch of lines with dots. I sat in shock not knowing what to say. When I asked if they could be fixed to look more like flowers her irritability was very apparent. She then showed me a picture of toes with what looked like strawberries on the toes and said this design? I said no, I don't want strawberries, just flowers. When she sat down to re-try, I asked if the owner could do it and that I'd wait. The owner which had moved on to a new customer (there were only three in the whole place!) said, "I don't have time, so either she does it or get one next time" I have never been more livid in my life, really! I had been there before the other two clients and instead of helping, her solution was to be rude! She couldn't take 5 mins to put some flowers on my toes! She'd rather a customer leave without having a pedicure that they wanted? I strongly suggest anyone wanting friendly and quality service go elsewhere. It's very clear that the owner nor her co-worker care about keeping clientele or guest services. FYI, there won't be a next time, you are awful! read more

One of the worst nails salons I've been to. I was in the area and needed to repair one of my nails because the acrylic had cracked and was chipping off. I got there at around noon on a Monday and they had one customer. I was asked to come back in a half hour, I should have just gone to another salon. I ended up waiting in my car. Came back in 30 minutes later, one of the girls looked at it and asked if I was going to want a polish change too. I said yes and asked if she could do flowers on my thumbs and ring fingers. She fixed my one nail then started filing all my nails really short and entirely changed the shape and turned my nails into little stubs! I might as well not have acrylic at all. Then she told me to wash my hands without even putting cuticle oil. She had completely dried out my entire hands and cuticles with the acetone. I washed my hands and sat back down. I ended up getting uneven french tips and 5 dots as flowers. In between polishes, she was playing a game on her phone, taken a personal phone call, and answered many text messages while my hands froze in front of the fan. Money wasted. Now I have to find another place to fix this mess. read more
