We have been returning to the Sandbar Resort for years. The grassy waterfront sites are perfect for our group. The owners Donielle and Jason are fantastic and responsive. Their friendly demeanor adds to the relaxing ambiance.

My room had a beautiful view of the Colorado River, complete with a full patio and seating--such a nice bonus. The room itself was big, spacious, and very comfortable. Coffee and tea were provided, and housekeeping cleaned the room daily, which was fantastic. Service throughout the hotel was excellent. A couple of things to note: there is no Wi-Fi in the rooms--only available in the lobby--and the pool was closed for remodeling during my stay. There is a small but cozy exercise room, and parking was plentiful. Dining options were great. BlueWater Grill is perfect for casual snacks and breakfast (opens at 7am), while River Willow has a more upscale feel and is excellent for dinner with friends or family. Overall, a great stay with excellent service, plenty of parking, and even free RV parking that can accommodate large rigs. Cheers!

I've always been aware of the camps but to see & to learn so much more that by attending this event was awesome. This coupled with/a family reunion was something that was really special event because we haven't seen each other in 20 years ever since the nisei generation passed away. The float ends at the pirates den launch ramp and so floaters come up the channel at the end of the float and get out of the water at the launch ramp. The launch ramp is nice, inside a protected cove so that the river flow isn't a challenge when launching and recovering your boats and personal water craft. Pirates den has a restaurant and tons of RV and tent camping spaces. Along with ample boat and trailer parking for visitors. I'll be back the next time we do the river tube float.

Our group had 5 different rigs with 4 of them on the front row with cabana/beach access while our rig was on the second row with a decent view of the river even with rigs parked in front of us. The staff in the office were friendly & helpful especially with helping us extend our visit. When we originally scheduled our site in April we could only stay 3 days but we're able to stay 7 since there were cancellations. The resort was clean & well taken care of with staff always going around cleaning & checking sites for issues. While we were there the resort hosted a canoe (kayak, long board) race (not sure what it was called but it was fun to watch & cheer) We did get some crazy weather (rain/thunderstorm) which did cause some water pooling in the different campsites but we didn't have any issues. We did enjoy the onsite bar/restaurant from happy hour to pizza they had just about everything. The office also had a small convenience store with ice, snacks & a great selection of drinks (both alcoholic & non). Only negative we had was the lack of availability for the same spots next year as the ones we're interested in we're already booked out. Maybe we'll have check back after the new year to see if any availability opens up.

Before posting, here's a draft you can edit if you'd like:…read more I hate leaving bad reviews, but this experience deserves one. First, let me say that I'm not a high-maintenance traveler. I stay at budget motels like Motel 6 all the time, so I'm not expecting luxury. We stayed at Fox RV Resort last year, so we knew exactly what we were booking--a dated RV with 1990s decor and basic amenities. Last year, our only issue was that the grill had no propane. This year was a completely different story. We arrived on an extremely hot day only to find that the RV had no power. It was unbearably hot inside, and after checking the breakers ourselves, nothing worked. We called the main number, and someone came down to turn the power on. He even acknowledged that it should have been turned on before we arrived. Once we started unpacking, we noticed the back window was covered with a piece of cardboard to block out light. Then we discovered the bathroom smelled like raw sewer. After reading older Yelp reviews, I realized this has apparently been an ongoing issue with this same trailer for years. Next, we found out there was no grill, even though the website advertises one. We had brought a cooler full of food specifically to grill during our stay. We called and were told someone would bring one over. Forty minutes later, still no grill, so my husband called again. The owner answered sounding irritated and basically snapped that it would get there. Later that night, around 9 p.m., the Wi-Fi wasn't working. We weren't upset--we just wanted to make sure there wasn't a switch or something inside the RV that needed to be turned on. Instead of helping us, the owner answered the phone by saying, "Do you know what time it is?" He then went on a rant about how we'd already called twice that day with complaints before telling us to "pack your shit and go." My husband stayed remarkably calm. I honestly would have hung up. The owner also told us, "This isn't the Ritz." No kidding. We weren't expecting the Ritz. We were expecting the amenities that were advertised and basic customer service. The issues with the RV were frustrating, but things happen. What made this experience completely unacceptable was the owner's attitude. I've never been spoken to by a business owner that way in my life. If you value even basic customer service, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.
