Was here in early April and it was a pleasant stay. The daughter who works there was super sweet, patient, helpful and never felt annoyed by all the help we needed. Her brother was also a really cool guy and very helpful. I did hear they're closing at the end of this summer which is a bummer. I am being generous for giving this place a star. We had a very negative experience. A group of us made reservations for 5 nights. We were told we would have reservations, by Mary, at a 50 amp rear location. We were directed to spaces closer to the water which only allowed 30 amp. Our power pole did not work the first night and we had to run our generator and waste our own gas. We spoke to Mary and told her our situation and she told us refunds were not allowed and that no one has ever had power issues. So we decided to leave, along with our friends, due to the electrical problem. The other campground had no problems. We noticed that Mary allowed other campers to use our paid spaces after we had left. We contacted Mary again and she still refused to give all of us a full refund even though three spots were filled. We even took photos. I would not recommend anyone to support this resort due to the unprofessional customer service. read more

I should have realized when it was the only RV park to call back re voicemails left (most answered the phone and advised they were booked) that there might be a reason they were the only 'resort' with vacancies, for weeks. I told the person who called back we needed three spaces, full hookups, 50 amp service for 3 RVs all 40'+. She stated they had no 50 amp on the water (front) but did have it in a back row, and 3 available side by side. I told her waterfront was not necessary, just the 50 amp (we travel with pets) and have 3 a/c on each unit, and it's Parker, Az, in the summer. On arrival we were assigned to three 30 amp spaces backed up to the water. One space had a utility pole leaning like it had been hit, and was non functional. This was mid afternoon on Tuesday, 114°, but no one would be available to check or repair it until Wednesday. No one had come to fix it or even look at it by 11:00 am Wed. when we left. Fortunately the occupant used their generator. When asked why we were leaving we explained about the inop electrical service and no 50 amp service that was promised. Lies #1 and #2: we never promised 50 amp because we don't have any (in a subsequent conversation I was told 'We have 50 amp, but its on a back row and we moved you up to better sites on the water'); No one reported the dead electrical service to the office (reported on Tuesday as soon as the occupant tried to connect and was told he'd have to wait to Wed). We suggested strongly that since the sites were paid for and the time to cancel for refund had long passed (Lie #3 We never give refunds under 30 days before reservation date or after arrival), we would be checking to make sure the sites remained empty as we had paid in full for them, including electrical surcharge. The sites were empty Wed and Thursday, then all three were occupied on Friday and Sat nights. Refunds were then requested and a FULL refund for the two nights was given to party #1, a one night refund was promised to party #2 with electricity refund included (this party had no electrical service) but has not been processed as of July 12, and party 3 was offerred one night but refused and will seek relief thru small claims court. Most frequent excuse: You must have spoke to somone else since I never said (promised) that. If you are considering this place despite this review, drive thru on the weekend before you make a 'non' refundable reservation, front line on the water in front of bar/office has rv units so close together they can't fully open opposing slide outs. Office has Customer Friendly notice posted next to 'Ring for Assistance', stating that if you do ring it had better be a real emergency. Finally, we were told the units occupying our three paid for spaces did not pay for them, they paid for other spaces that became unavaiable for unstated reasons. We were on the water daily during this time, passing the 'resort' mutiple times, and happily taking photos, also from the highway in front. No empty spaces are visible Fri, Sat, or Sun that the units in our paid for spaces might have come from read more

I've been staying in Parker for 20 years or so for summer vacations in the Sandbar resort is my favorite place, and I've stayed at a ton of places. The resort itself is located in the prime area walking distance to Sundance and foxes. Also a quick boat ride to the Road Runner. The resort itself has a good bar and they serve food and nice grassy area in front of the sites as well as too Sand beach play areas. Directly across on the California side there is a sound bar that you can take your boat to or paddle across to it. We just stayed the weekend here, the place is quite, however, if you can't get a place right on the water, don't reserve. We where put on the side lot with no view of anything but the storage trailers with no grass, no picnic table and the hookup where in need of repair. I am pretty sure we paid the same as those on the River with everything promised plus shade covers. Disappointed to say the least. read more

This is a perfect place to stay at if you want to party and do drugs day and night and get away with it. But if your decent folks - Avoid this place at all cost! There are so many other beautiful places to stay at that care about your safety and tranquility. We stayed at Space# 36 on the weekend of May 20th 2022. I complained at the office. Expecting an apology from the owners but nothing! The owners couldn't care less about your safety or tranquility as long as you pay them. Cramped camping spaces and difficult to get to the water. Our stay at the Sandbar Resort was HELL and lucky to get out alive. read more
