Great idea for small kids and certainly a capable gym for serious gymnastics. However, don't choose an early class as the staff act as if they're put out by being there so early in the morning. From unlocking the door to the half hour class, it seems they needed more sleep or more coffee. Observed this numerous times and am comfortable saying this. The later classes are better I'm sure but I doubt we will be back. read more

Amazing spot! Went for the first time to take my toddler to the preschool open play, and it was perfect!! My 3 year old is very independent and not quite ready for a class with instructions, so the open play was exactly what he needed. They offer it Monday-Friday 11:45-12:30 for only $5! What an amazing way for my kiddo to get his wiggles out. Amazing facility and really great & helpful staff! read more

We've been apart of Saga Gymastics for years now, and I'd like to let them know how grateful we are this Thankful Thursday! Years ago, we enrolled my Daughter in their diaper daredevils class at 15 months. Since then Saga changed locations and has a very nice new gym near Candelaria and Carlisle. We've been so happy with the coaching as my Daughter has grown and changed classes. My Daughter is almost 6 now and is at the hot shot level with Coach Reagan, whom you can tell, really loves her girls and coaching at Saga. Her class is a small group of 3-5 and they have so much fun together. My Daughter has developed so much skill and confidence at this gym. I recommend Saga and Coach Reagan to a lot of other parents. The gym itself is very clean and well-managed. We enjoy watching from the large viewing area upstairs, and the staff strives to keep everyone safe by sanitizing and enforcing mask wearing. Absolutely love this gymnastics spot and we have tried quite a few in the area. They require masks ( and offer masks to anyone that may not). They sanitize the mats after each class, and they facilite is kept up very well. If your child missed class or they are closed for holidays, they offer your child make up classes . The staff is also always very friendly and helpful! read more

My daughter has been coming here for years. We love it. Such a great environment and the coaches are amazing!

They have since moved to a larger Gym located in Candelaria and Carlisle and there is plenty of parking, plenty of space. It's a beautiful and clean gym. We are currently not able to attend due to the closure (COV19) but we cannot wait time return. We are missing our coaches and teammates immensely!!! read more

This review concerns the kids birthday celebrations here, only. I have not personally utilized the gymnastic equipment in this facility, for if I had, a groin injury would likely prevent the completion of this review. It's amazing how conglomerated and commercialized the arena of children's birthday parties have become. It's an obvious market to capitalize on. Parents really don't want to deal with the hassle of putting the soiree together, and little Timmy has been looking forward to the Big Day all year long, it's so easy to just bring 'em all to a place where they can play video games and eat pizza and watch creepy mechanical mice craft unholy rock 'n roll. Costly, crappy and in the end totally forgettable, it doesn't really matter. Another year done and gone, another cavity or three. Sandia Acrobatic Gymnastics Academy, on the other hand, crafts a birthday party for toddlers and younguns that's interactive, athletic, memorable and special. My kid still talks about it, six months down the line. The place provides a couple of instructors who take groups of kids on the equipment, letting them bounce, roll and role-play little Olympians. After that it's meal time, and parents can order or bring what they wish, which is a huge bonus. Most places insist on ordering from their "partner" businesses, the prices are inflated, the options really unhealthy. This is a great place for the Big Day, put it on your list. read more

SAGA is great! They recently moved to a nearby location on Candelaria. This is an awesome, mostly non- competitive facility for kids to learn balance, flexibility, and strength, all while experiencing the elegant yet powerful sport that is the amazing gymnastics. SAGA offers summer camps and camps during APS breaks, which is very helpful for parents. They have parents night out where you can drop the kids off to play for a few hours and go out on a date. They also have fun holiday coloring contests for the kids to win a free gym session with a friend. The city needs more fun locations like this for kids. read more

Three stars means A-OK and also that it is incredibly hard to write anything interesting. SAGA is A-OK. Yep. I take my kids there. I've been taking them for years. They don't really do any tricks yet, but I was sorta thinking this would help them become break dancers or ninjas when they get older. The instructors are a-ok. I've never spoken to one, but the kids know them. They never talk about them. That's ok. The coaches don't really talk to parents much. The facility is nice. Lots of beams and obstacles, sprung floor, foam pit, beams, hoops...trampolines....yep. I can watch my kids from the balcony and they cheat! They totally don't do the exercise when the coach isn't watching! But, that's ok. The snack machine sucks. There's no athletic food in it, like perfect bars. They have birthday parties there. I've been to one. Yeah, it was pretty good. I got to go out on the floor, but I did something wrong so they sent me out. I can't remember what I did. It was something like wearing shoes or being to fat. I took my kids to one of the "night out" events. They had a pretty good time. They were watching Happy Feet when we picked them up. Yeah, I would try get back a little earlier next time because they said the first half was awesome, the second half is pizza and a movie... The kids had an OK time. I might try it again. I might just keep going with the program. read more

I've been going to Saga for about 4 years now. From a gymnasts perspective this is a great gym for all! The coaches care about meets but all they want is for you to do the best that you can do! Coaches are playful and extremely supportive, they are helping me got over my mental block of a round-off backhandspring. The coaches definitely know what they are talking about, my coaches were level 9 or 10 gymnasts so they know the dos and the don'ts! Over all this gym is great for all ages! read more

Saga has the best gymnastics classes I've seen. This was the first one we ever came to so I didn't really have anything to compare until we moved away. We tried so many different gyms and but none really came close to the quality of SAGA... plus all we're more expensive. The instructors are also the best we've had with small children. All of the gyms we tried had the children all sit on the sidelines while they waited their turns. The kids would only get a chance to go through the obstacles once during their entire class. The kids were expected to patiently wait. While at SAGA, the kids go right after each other through the activities so they're moving the whole time. At two years old my daughter would do forward rolls with SAGA but wasn't allowed to yet at her other classes at four years old. I was so excited to move back to Albuquerque knowing that my kids are in good hands at SAGA. Plus my kids love their open gym which is free play on their equipment. They're truly the best! read more
