I would highly recommend Drew & his services! Great price & is really straight forward. I came to Drew because my dog has some behavioral/aggressive issues. She isn't a friendly dog to humans & we have seen it get ugly sometimes so I decided to book him for private at home training that counted for 3 sessions. Extremely reasonable price and even let me do a payment plan! Drew knew the problem as soon as he saw her & guaranteed we could fix the problem. With the help of training tools such as a prong collar and treats, we were able to get my dog to a better state of mind. I've learned she has some serious anxiety and nervousness problems, but it wasn't something that was impossible. We practiced a lot of ways on how to keep her focused while walking on leash so that she wasn't constantly distracted by the outside world going on around her. We did a lot of walking on leash outside and practiced correcting her barking/aggression inside the house as well, so I would say we got some real-world examples drawn out. Drew also educated us on how to correct unwanted behaviors & how to spot them even before they happen. A huge part of this was truly for me & learning how to properly correct unwanted behaviors with training tools. Not only do I understand how to train my dog now, but also have a way to properly calm her anxiety/aggression toward people. I just adopted Blue, my pitbull who is almost 2 years old. Blue was stubborn and pulled so much on walks and got overly excited whenever he saw new people and other dogs. I found Sandlot K9 when looking for pitbull specific training online. Andrew exceeded our expectations! I was not expected to see results within our first training session. Our training sessions were outside the dog park, so Blue had lots of distractions to deal with. We were first using a martingale collar with Blue, and I appreciated that Andrew evaluated how he was with that collar before suggesting the use of a prong collar. With Andrew's help, my parents and I were able to see how the use of the prong collar would yield quicker results than the use of the martingale. We saw results immediately with the use of the prong collar on Blue's walking and training commands. In addition, Andrew answered all of our questions and gave us very helpful advice on how to deal with Blue when at home. He followed up with suggestions on next steps in furthering Blue's training without forcing us to do additional training with him. My parents and I appreciated that a lot and are definitely considering following up with off-leash training with Andrew after working more with Blue on his basic training. I can't recommend Andrew's training enough! My fiance and I struggled with training our Golden Retriever pup Carl, as he was our first dog we've raised on our own. At 70+lbs at 10 months old, I could no longer walk him, and he was very difficult to handle in public settings due to his high energy and enthusiasm. 2 weeks at bootcamp with Andrew transformed our pup into an obedient and manageable dog that we can walk confidently through busy areas of DTLA. Boarding: Carl was boarded for 2 weeks at Andrew's house, which he toured for us when we dropped him off. He has an AC room that was clean for Carl to sleep in, and an outdoor area that was also clean and neat for training/bathroom. We just needed to leave him with food, collar, and leash. I have a nine-month-old, 100 lb Rottweiler named Pluto who is crazy high energy and wasn't really following my commands but after training with Andrew it's like night and day!! I highly recommend Andrew because I was feeling so overwhelmed trying to manage Pluto's behavior & was also having a lot of trouble with walks because he is very strong and was pulling so much on the leash. We were a little skeptical that our two German Shepherd mixes could have behaviors reversed in just 3 sessions but were so happy to see results after the first day! We went with the e-collars, and ever since then my dogs have been playing together, running around together and what not. In the beginning Andrew seemed quite knowledgeable. I have a 3 year old pit bull that was pulled and abandoned by a rescue so i took her in andI did a board and train at his house for 2 weeks for her as she is dog reactive. When I came back 2 weeks later to see how she was doing, she had lost so much weight. When I asked him why he said she wasn't eating. And I thought "and you didn't bother to tell me?" She did become somewhat less dog reactive but because i was trying to find her an adopter, I boarded my dog at his house for several months. He never bothered to update me on her and whenever I asked they were short answers. As time went by I got the feeling that his only interest was the money and didnt care much for her except keeping her alive. And I could tell from my dog as well that she didn't care for him either. When I came to visit her last Sunday she reeked horribly and when I pet her for 5 min my hand was filthy black. He claims he gives her a bath and she just rolls in the concrete a lot. But she was in the shelter for 3 months and she wasn't even close to being that filthy. So that day I told her I was removing her tomorrow. The only things he brought up were, firstly and most importantly for him money which I think was all he cared about. Second where is she going, then asked if she was coming back and when I answered no he said GOOD. I was furious. When I picked her up the next day. He didn't bother to say goodbye to the dog that lived with him for 3 months didn't say good luck never looked at her and neither did my dog. Obviously my dog was also ready to part ways with him. I think he did try at first but as time went on he probably didn't see a point and spent less time as possible. She was only allowed in his yard and in his small office where her crate is. At first we were crate training her so it was fine but now I question how long he kept her in a crate daily and speculate he might have just always kept her outside. I was paying him $40 a night. Thousands of dollars sending food and necessities and he didn't even bother to update me or keep my dog clean. I would never go back and would never recommend anyone else going back.
