We rescued a 1yr old pit bull who ended up showing aggression towards us. We tried a trainer earlier in the year which was basically a fail. Our pit bull was getting more aggressive and we were at the point of trying to place him with a new home. I started doing research and found Sandlot K9 to have great reviews. The owner Andrew said, 3 lessons and you'll see a new dog. Guess what?! It's true! Our pit is now understanding and respecting us with no aggression. The right training is key and I can't thank Andrew enough for helping us and our pit bull.

I just adopted Blue, my pitbull who is almost 2 years old. Blue was stubborn and pulled so much on walks and got overly excited whenever he saw new people and other dogs. I found Sandlot K9 when looking for pitbull specific training online. Andrew exceeded our expectations! I was not expected to see results within our first training session. Our training sessions were outside the dog park, so Blue had lots of distractions to deal with. We were first using a martingale collar with Blue, and I appreciated that Andrew evaluated how he was with that collar before suggesting the use of a prong collar. With Andrew's help, my parents and I were able to see how the use of the prong collar would yield quicker results than the use of the martingale. We saw results immediately with the use of the prong collar on Blue's walking and training commands. In addition, Andrew answered all of our questions and gave us very helpful advice on how to deal with Blue when at home. He followed up with suggestions on next steps in furthering Blue's training without forcing us to do additional training with him. My parents and I appreciated that a lot and are definitely considering following up with off-leash training with Andrew after working more with Blue on his basic training. Seen in the photo is Blue during a sit and stay on our walk and I can even let go of the leash! Thank you again Andrew :)

Sandlot K9 Services amazing! Drew did what Pet Smart could not! Back story, we wanted to get our 1 year old Jack Russell Terrier - Pacheco trained because he was... How should I say this nicely? A freakin' crazy dog ! Did not listen to anything, no boundaries, didn't come when you called him and ran away when you tell him to stay. Pretty much did the opposite of everything we wanted him to do. Just an absolute wild animal! Before Sandlot, we took him to Pet Smart and the trainer there literally told us that he was hopeless and pointed out all of the " what we should've dones" we were determined to get our little Pacheco educated. That's when a friend referred us to Drew from Sandlot ! On the phone, we explained to Drew what we were experiencing with Pacheco and his reply was , " No problem - easy fix!" There is hope! We decided to give him a try and booked 5 sessions. On the very first day of instruction, Drew already made a huge difference! We could not believe it! After each session, Drew would send us home with some 'homework' . We would do the homework to re-enforce what was learned in class and our little guy would actually remember what he was being taught! By the end of the 5th session, it's like we had a brand new pup! We could not be more grateful for Drew and his services! He is the real deal! Thank you so much !

My wife and I have nothing but great things to say about Andrew and his training program. We rescued a Pitt mix (Bella) and she was the sweetest dog at home but when it came to walks, seeing/hearing other dogs and staying at home alone she was almost uncontrollable. It's almost as if she had a completely different personality. After our very first session, her behavioral issues completely changed. We had 3 sessions total and I can confidently say that Bella is a completely changed dog. Our walks have been stress free and Bella is a much happier and less anxious dog. I would HIGHLY recommend Andrew!

Andrew is the best. Straight to the point training and never try's to oversell you anything. He was able to help my Doberman, and Staffordshire terrier with their dog aggressive reactivity and obedience. I was able to see results within the first 15 mins of our first session. After seeing many different trainers and going through so many sessions and a lot of money. I felt defeated and overwhelmed Until we found Andrew. After 3 sessions/weeks our dogs are able to go to beaches, camping trips, and co exist with other dogs. He helped me be more confident handling my dogs and understand them more. I couldn't recommend him more !

Andrew really does it all! I went to Andrew with all my dog problems and he solved it no problem. Andrew really knows what he's doing and my dogs really respects me after his training sessions. My husky used to be very stubborn on the leash and gets super distracted during walks but now she walks right by my side after training. My black GSD does obedience and protection training with Andrew and does super well with both. Super helpful and always open to questions even outside of training sessions. I always recommend him to all my friends and family who are new dog owners :)

I have a nine-month-old, 100 lb Rottweiler named Pluto who is crazy high energy and wasn't really following my commands but after training with Andrew it's like night and day!! I highly recommend Andrew because I was feeling so overwhelmed trying to manage Pluto's behavior & was also having a lot of trouble with walks because he is very strong and was pulling so much on the leash. Andrew's methods have been so effective and I continue to reinforce them with Pluto. My shoulders and back are no longer strained just from walking my dog! His behavior in the house is so much better also. He doesn't jump on house guests anymore or our friends/neighbors outside of the house either. He is still is up to mischief at times because his age and hyper nature, but it's much less so than before and now he stops what he's doing when I tell him to!

A couple months back I had the luxury of meeting drew . I reached out to him ,because my bully Ace is very energetic ,and would pull and always react to dogs barking at him on his walks . My girl friend and I had tried so many methods including a E- Collar , and we were still having difficulty with him . However , once we got introduce to Drew by Sandlot K9 services . we signed up right away . Drew told us we were not going to believe it ,but 3 1 hour sessions was all it would take to correct his behavior . He introduced us to the prong collar and we saw immediate results the pulling stop that same day when we took him out for his walk that afternoon .I believe with Drew's guidance and some dedication to your pup you can accomplish having a well behave dog . Thanks drew

I have a 6 month old German Shepherd puppy and he is not trained. He's always pulling on the leash when outside, doesn't behave, not following commands and he's not aggressive at all. I would like to know about the services offered and the prices?

Great experience! We have an 8-year-old rescue Golden…read moreRetriever who developed some habits we wanted to correct and weren't able to do on our own with traditional training. A couple of these weren't terribly serious, but we felt we weren't "in charge" anymore, that our dog wasn't getting the message from whatever we were doing, and that if we didn't do something different, it could really get out of control. Brad really helped us with this, where traditional "training" wasn't working. We have two or three things we're working on with our girl, but here is the most dramatic change we had with one issue. She is very food motivated, and would beg from us at the table whenever we sat down to eat, and would be underfoot in the kitchen during prep. She got overly excited and would not settle and lie down. Brad explained we weren't communicating well with her on a dog level, so to get that communication kicked in to gear, he actually started our session not with this problem, but with making sure she would not dash out the front door when it was opened. This was to establish that we were in charge and what was expected of her. What he showed us how to do worked like you wouldn't believe. It was like a light bulb went off for our girl. What we did affected everything after that. It wasn't about dashing out the door, it wasn't about begging for food, it was about knowing what was acceptable in our pack and to look to us for direction. That night, at dinner, she went to her "spot" with a simple direction and was relaxed during our entire meal. She can now be directed to her spot and will stay quietly any time we need her to. Best of all, she seems truly relieved that she doesn't have to be in charge and that WE are. She is much more relaxed around so many other things. It gave us so much more confidence! I didn't think that what Brad taught us would work. It's quite counterintuitive. But trust me, it worked like magic. This is not dog training - it's communication with your dog. Brad answers all your questions, doesn't waste your time, shows you clearly and directly what will work. We're so thankful we found him!

I met with several trainers before Brad & had little to no success in the areas we needed most, I was exhausted. Now for the first time ever, I can leave him home alone without the overwhelming anxiety and guilt that used to come with it. Our walks are actually enjoyable again, and I feel confident bringing him around friends and into new environments. What I appreciate most is that the training gave me the tools and confidence to understand and communicate with my dog better. I have my freedom back, and Cash is happier and more relaxed because of it. If you're struggling with separation anxiety, behavioral issues, or just want a better relationship with your dog, I can't recommend Brad enough. The impact has been life-changing.

We definitely recommend Andi!…read more We originally reached out to Andi for consultations regarding both of our Maltipoos, Kiki and Coco. During our initial phone consultation, Andi was incredibly honest and genuine. After learning more about our dogs, she felt that Kiki was the one who would benefit most from formal training and suggested that we could apply what we learned with Kiki to Coco as well. We really appreciated that she didn't try to upsell us on training for both dogs when she easily could have. That immediately showed us how much she genuinely cares about helping dogs and their families. At the time, Kiki was about six months old and was extremely reactive to just about everything in the outside world. We were looking for someone whose methods aligned with our values, and we loved Andi's positive reinforcement approach. Kiki completed Andi's six-week program, and the growth we've seen has been incredible. What sets Andi apart is that she isn't focused solely on teaching dogs tricks or obedience commands. She truly cares about each dog's emotional well-being and how they're feeling throughout the process. We learned so much--not just about Kiki, but about ourselves as dog owners. Andi helped us understand how our own behaviors and responses can shape our dogs, which was eye-opening and incredibly valuable. Of course, the work doesn't stop when the training sessions end. It takes consistency and ongoing practice at home, but Andi gave us the tools and confidence to continue building on Kiki's progress. The effort has been absolutely worth it. One of the best parts is that we were able to use many of the same training methods with our older Maltipoo, Coco, and she learned and benefited from them as well. Andi actively encouraged this, which we really appreciated. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate, and ethical trainer who truly puts dogs' well-being first, we wholeheartedly recommend Andi and Diamond Dog Training.

What stood out the most was how calm, patient, and warm Alex was with our Charlie. He clearly understands canine behavior and approaches training in a way that builds trust and confidence rather than fear. You could see our Charlie begin to relax and learn almost immediately under his guidance. His mouthing stopped immediately, and the unique new schedule Alex provided has brought order and calm to Charlie's day. Not only are his guidelines used to create order, but also to strengthen the bond and relationship we want with our dog. Most importantly Alex is patient while trying to train US. He did an incredible job communicating with us throughout the entire process. Every day he sent videos, updates, and check-ins so we could see our dog's progress and understand what he was working on. Weekly at home training sessions helped us with Charlie's behaviors specific to our home.
