Sandra Kent is an absolutely wonderful permanent makeup ARTIST! I did a lot of research before I called Sandra and I had a zillion questions, and a whole lot of anxiety by the time we talked. I had lost ALL of my eyebrows and was using press-on tattoo brows before I found her. She answered all of my questions, and completely understood and was respectful of my concerns and fears. My new eyebrows are perfect, look completely natural and draw compliments when I tell people that they are tattoos. The first session with Sandra was a consultation. She drew eyebrows on me- perfectly with a ball point pen! - so that my husband and I could see how the new brows would look. We also discussed colors, and shape and took lots of photos so that we were all on the same page as to what we could expect. Sandra explained the entire procedure and how to prepare for the first session. She did a color test on my skin to make sure I was not allergic to the color and she showed me how the tattoo instrument would feel on my skin. My husband and I both felt so comfortable talking with Sandra at this first session and at all the sessions; from the moment we walked in we always felt welcomed and relaxed because of her sincerity, professionalism, expertise, and warmth. I also want to mention that her office environment is beautiful, immaculate, relaxing and quiet- and has its own parking lot. The second session was "part one" of the two part procedure. During the process, I felt very little pain or discomfort. I was so relaxed that I fell asleep! We returned 6 weeks later and did the follow-up procedure which also went very well. Sandra asked me to come back 6 weeks after that to make sure the color had set in- and she did that third session for free! If I could give ZERO STARS I would. This woman charged 2 THOUSAND dollars.. yes you read that correctly, thousands.. to tattoo my nearly 80 year old grandmothers eyebrows and eyeliner. Her eye brows just look like brown lines!!!!! It's unvelievable! I've seen FANTASTIC work from regular tattoo artists for about 2 HUNDRED! Well the eyeliner never happened, she could not handle the pain. And $500 of the 2 THOUSAND payment was for the eyeliner. She refused to refund her that money. So my grandmother, being the sweet, kind woman she is, asked if she would please touch up her eyebrows for the $500 (yes $500 to touch up brown lines) and she says "WELL I WORK FOR $500 AN HOUR AND I CANT DO A TOUCH UP IN AN HOUR SO IT WILL COST YOU MORE!" I literally don't even have words for how disgusting this woman is. There is a special place for people like her. I pray that she learns love, compassion and kindness before it is too late. (I cannot take a picture of the eyebrows because it would hurt my grandmothers feelings and I cannot have that.) read more

I have already posted my feeling of Sandra kents work, and feel obligated to keep people updated about this procedure.... I have been in the business myself for 45 years so I feel I know of which I speak.... One of my clients came into my salon, and was complaining about the experience she had had at Sandra Kent salon...I told her about what I went through with Sandra , and she experienced much of the same...she especially was bothered by her over pricing, not to mention her eye liner that was way too dark ...there is not a whole lot u can do if the permanent cosmetics come out too dark, or not even, which both happened to my client that took her chances on Sandra ... I feel that Sandra is getting too old to do her job effectively ...and her priceing shows it's gone to her head, and she thinks she is a lot better than she is.. I also gave a review on janel, and have had nothing but good things said about her.. She is so easy to talk to and is very patient... Her pricing is excellent, and seems like she is always giveing some sort of discount . Her business is called DOLL FACE and is in Lafayette ....call ahead because she is very busy....I cannot say enough good things about janel... I am so happy with my brows...she had to do some correction work from what Sandra did to them, but, thank God for janel, they are perfect now... read more

First off let me say that I love Sandra! I have been a client of hers for over eighteen years. I was referred to Sandra by another cosmetic tattoo artist who was leaving the business to travel, and when I asked her who she went to and she told me that Sandra was the ONLY person she would trust who was as much of a perfectionist as she was! I fell in love with her warm, welcoming personality and her talent is truly exceptional - these things keep me coming back. I've worked in the cosmetic industry for over twenty years so I have a critical eye and I am very picky. She did an amazing job on my lips, eyebrows and eyeliner and over the years has touched up where necessary. I get a wealth of compliments on my brows and lips from people not knowing I'm tattooed because they look so natural. I surf and used to teach diving, so natural is a must! I recently had my brows filled in and lip liner. I cannot tell you the amazing difference Sandra's work has done. Because she has been in this field for 30 years her work is true artistry. Her ability to listen to my needs and concerns meant a lot to me. I find it odd that Sandra has one negative review that seems to go completely against the positive, perhaps "Kim H-from Danville" has other issues, perhaps Kim H never visited Sandra's practice and is just not a very nice person. read more

I have been going to Sandra Kent for probably 25 years. The other reviews posted about her are spot on! She is hands-down one of the finest human beings I have ever met. It's very apparent that she's totally dedicated to her craft and her clients. In all the years I've gone to her, she has always made sure everything is perfect; no short cuts for Sandra. We're preparing to move to the Washington State and despite the distance, I will continue to come down for any touch ups I need. I wouldn't go to anyone else--she is absolutely the best. Another point I would like to make is that you can tell your fears to her without a worry; she will understand, she will be compassionate, and she will answer you frankly and truthfully. If you've ever thought about getting this type of work done, Sandra is the one to go to. My only regret is that she doesn't live next door to me so I could see her more often.
