They are definitely overpriced and reaching on the title resort , when they dont offer much in the way of entertainment or activities for guest , and if you do attempt to have any type of fun on your site they will come by and count people and ask for arm bands , any one without a band they will charge you 10 dollars per person and claim they you are staying on property and its ohio health code rules its a money grab , if the code enforcement was actually a thing or they did the job correctly, this location would have violations all over , from guest sites flooding, to standing water in sites for days , we seen one couple that had water in their site most of the summer. The park doesn't do anything for mosquitoes, they claim the water fountains are the solution to what they offer , but over look the standing water they have and allow, also some guest had a large amount of animal poop the smell walking past was definitely noticeable. Along with others that have posted theft is real at this location, the grass company has damaged my neighborhoods fence , and taken things from other sites all reported to management no action was taken , other theft was a large amount of firewood from the store , that was reported but they let them stay for days at the campground , I hope to see other post with more of this park , they delete Facebook post so please dont believe all you read on Facebook!

We slept on the ground in sleeping bags. There were a lot of people making noise until about 12:30am, playing music, singing, talking and yelling. The showers were not great but fine for a campground. I went to bed around 2am when everything had died down. Around 7am, some banging started like there might be a shooting range nearby. In the morning, I explored the camping area and got some exercise. So much better than a hotel gym! I ran around, shot some hoops, and bounced on their "jumping pillow" which was exactly what I needed before a day of driving. And it was so much cheaper than a hotel room.

We have done this for several years and have found that Camp Sandusky is an inexpensive choice only fifteen minutes from where we were playing. Charles, the owner; Michael, the general manager; Hannah, front office; and Nancy, the cook all went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant! The cabins were air-conditioned, clean, and comfortable. The restrooms are older, but clean and well-maintained. The boys swam in the heated pool, played Gaga ball, sand volleyball, and corn hole. Pedal carts are available for an additional charge. We had breakfast of pancakes one day and sausage gravy and biscuits the second day provided by the campground. This is presale. All cabins have fire rings and a charcoal grill. The office has ice and firewood for sale. Across the street is a McDonalds, gas station, and a Subway. We recommend Camp Sandusky for your visit to Sandusky.

We probably could've stayed in the cabins and still pay way less than any hotels around town. I could not believe how close this was to CP. We literally turn out of the KOA and was at the light where the giant sign is in less than 60 seconds. The grounds were clean and our spot was very centrally located and it has a paved patio, a gliding bench, built it fire-pit, table with chairs and umbrella. We were easily able to come back to the campsite in the middle of our trip to eat lunch then go back instead of paying $20 for hot dog and fries, which was another big plus. I was also super impressed with the amenities. It has a pickleball court, which I've never seen before but definitely worth noting. Because it's one of their Halloween weekends, they had trick or treating, a mini carnival games thing that sells food and include games like tire toss where you're tossing heads into the tires, etc. At night, after it got dark, they literally set up a haunted house, which apparently was pretty awesome. I stayed back to watch the dogs, but I could definitely hear screams and clowns banging on some metal barrels and made it pretty legit. Being October, their 2 pools were obviously done, but there were 2 pools! We're definitely staying there again when we go back.

After renting our RV, we plotted out our route from the East coast to West coast and picked KOA campgrounds along our route to stop at night. This was our first RV/KOA experience and it was very different than what I was expecting. When we arrived, the campground was absolutely packed. Check in was super easy, and they had somebody in a golf cart take us directly to our spot and helped us maneuver our 30-footer into the reserved space for us. When we arrived in our space however, the neighbors to our spot had used it as a cornhole gathering spot for the neighborhood and it seemed like they were disgruntled that they had to give it up. Our spot was a back-in with water and electricity which was all we needed because we were just spending the night. The campground stayed pretty loud pretty late but we were so exhausted, we didn't really notice. In the morning, we packed out early and were gone before anyone was up. Overall price was good, I think our spot was about $32 to $35 and because we had a cruise America rig, we got a 10% off on our stay. Overall, this was a much rowdier, cramped, communal camping then I was expecting but it seems like those who were using it were pretty tight-knit group and they enjoyed it much more than we did. If we were going to be coming through this area again with an RV we would probably not stay here.

Dog play area, with bags for poopy pickup. Bath house. 24 hour laundry. Fill your propane tanks. Site see through the day, relax if you wish. Then sleep into the night in silence. Pool was not open, we don't use it anyways. Playground area Rain rain made the put put golf unusable, but not the fault of campground. Very nice people running this campground. They help you set up if needed, and give advice on the perfect places to go visit. Just can't get batter as far as I'm concerned. Store is stocked with all essentials plus.

I will say the spots are somewhat smaller compared to other Ohio state parks we stayed at. The slots are not angled so it can be tricky to back in. They do offer lots of pull through options. Inside the campground there is a boat launch, lots of extra parking, shower houses, camp store, game room, and nature center. They don't offer a lot of activities but there were a few. My kids just loved riding our bikes up to the beach and playing in the lake. There is a nice bike bath that makes it easy to get there. There is no food in the area so bring your own or be prepared to drive.
